When you use the term "cowboy"..... You have to be careful.... We've had Hollywood cowboys and rodeo cowboys, rhinestone cowboysand coca-cola cowboys, urban cowboys and midnight cowboys, Marlboro cowboy and even Dallas Cowboys....

I was riding around today, knowing that I was gonna update this dang journal, and couldn't for the life of me decide on a story to add. When It hit me like a buss.. sort of. I was waitin on a school buss to unload, when an odd looking young kid went by like a flash laughing, and right behind him was a rather large boy in certain persuit of the first feller. Hmmm.. Reminds me of a time long ago..back in Sulphur Springs. A good friend of mine, who is now a Crime Scene Investigator, was deep into Bull riding. Got his start at a little club in Greenville, and decided he was gonna make a go of it. So we loaded up, and Headed to Bonham. Larry Mac's Place I believe. Larry provided stock to NFR and Pro Rodeo Circuits and had his place open in those days to amateures, and cowboys with cubes larger than most. My friend ( who's name I am leaving out for obvious reasons) made his way to the chutes and the rest of us watched from the fence. Me on the other hand deceded I was gonna lend a hand, and do a little bull fightin. All was going well, that is until they decided to let one of them rascals loose. The rider made it out of the chute and hit the dirt in a pile, and that little old 2000 lb bull had nothing to do, that is until he seen me. The other bull fighter not to far to my left, looked at me and simply said "uh Oh". I was gonna ask him to be more specific about his "uh Oh" but the sight of that ticked off tower of horns runnin at me was enough to make me forget what I was gonna ask him. Now mind you, I ride horses, and worked cattle at that time, I didn't make it a habbit to be caught in the middle of a pasture with a 2000 lb angry bull. I looked around for the best place to go, and diggin a hole would take too long. That cowboy to my left gave me some really good advice.... "RUN COWBOY..... RUN !!!!" The closest place was the fence line where I came from, so I figured out real quick that is where I need to be and I ran, ran so fast in cowboy boots that Flash Gordon and Speedy Gonzales were takin notes. I was lookin at that fence I was runnin to and realized that that fence was 5 feet tall, and the pipe in between was not wide enough for me to squeez thru, especially in a hurry. The only other option was to climb..... Yeah Right That rascal was close enough to reach out and kiss the back of my head, which I could swear to this day he did I got to the fence and jumped.. Yeah.. Jumped Believe it or not, I cleared that darn fence. Not gracefully, as I believe I hit that fence with every part of my body, and landed on the other side on my head. There must have been twenty or more cowboys, wranglers, stockmen and bullriders there, all just doubled over in hysterical laughter. I know it was purty comical as I was cusssin and hollerin the whole way, but it wasn't that funny... until I realized that my darn fool head was gettin a bit chilly.. Lost the hat again.. and that bull was standin right on top of it.

After driving around all day, looking for something to shoot, walking around in the woods, to thick to carry a tripod, and camera ... Which I did anyway ... I recall several times I had to run back and pick up the tripod after it got caug...

A few days ago, My oldest boy ~ThErOcK001 decided to join the Deviant Art Community. Guess you could say I am one proud father, He just started and already has a nack for perspective. Fortunately he has to wait on me to set up and go to photo shoots. Which I have not done in some time. But that will change... I hope

My next question is simple, I have most of the shots that I had earlier this year, and My question is simple. Should I re-post the old shots, or just start new. Let me know whay you think.

No Choice but to return.

My lovely wife has given me permission, well she told me to go ahead, and post some of my shots on here again.

So I am back, but with serious limitations. My new job has me working 12-13 hours a day, at 6 days a week. which leaves little if no time to do anything else..

So please understand my loooooooong time responce.

I have missed all of you dearly, and look forward to adding some of your work to my fav's ..

Wife and the boys and I are doing great. Oldest boy is into photography now, much to my joy, and the youngest is an football player that loves horses.. Wife and I are doin great.

I sure do miss all of you dearly...
I am still shootin with the ole Nikon...
Noting has changes except the weather..
