isn't it incredible, i am kinda back to life! after more than half a year i actually started drawing again (one exception: the slytherin picture i drew for a dear friend) and it is fun. my last months have been so busy so i haven't had time nor have i been feeling like drawing a picture, knowing that i have only a couple of minutes.
but as a new term at the university started last week it shouldn't be too stressful now so i do hope that i'll find more time now. wish i'd be able to produce more new stuff but i just can't. hope you guys still remember me.

again, long time no see. i hope that i can invest at least a bit more time on devART and submit a few new deviations though there aren't many. it's sad but i haven't had much time to carry out anything though my mind is almost exploding by the sheer mass of ideas i have.
i started with a picture of myself which i took some two weeks ago after i had been back from a club. i liked my hair (i hardly ever like it) so i wanted to fix that moment somehow. recently i finished a picture i had started in fall 2006. i haven't looked at it since i drew the last line so i can't really say how it looks like but i will definitely scan it and try to work on it using a bit of photoshop.
additonally i started a picture showing Galadriel and Finrod some time ago. when i last looked at it i found that Finrod looks quite odd. maybe i will redraw it but since i still don't have much time i don't really reckon that i will actually do that.
another, well, let's call it "project" of mine is an illustration of some main characters of the trilogy "the black magicians' guild" by trudi canavan which i surprisingly liked very much and read within 3 days. i can only highly recommend it.

my life is going its normal way. i am actually getting along with my spanish studies pretty well and my english has developed at least a bit i hope. i have to prepare a major oral exam which will take place in october most likely and is about american and british literary studies. i actually do like literature but it is so much work to do, so much reading. very well, nothing to be afraid of i hope.

One thing: Please do not forget what Christmas really is about. It's not "who's-getting-the-most" or "who's-spending-the-most", neither is it about an old silly man bringing presents made by elves at North Pole. Actually, we do receive a present. It is the most precious one can get...


And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, everyone into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. Being an adult (at least at the age of 20 I should be an adult...) the book is even better since you're much better prepared to understand the underlying philosophies and hidden meanings for your life in reality.
favorite characters:
* Atreyu
great hero of the tribe of the greenskins; sent on the Great Quest by the Childlike Empress
* Falkor
the Luck Dragon who carries Atreyu on its back
* The Childlike Empress
ruler of Phantásia, heart of the world, the center, the beginning and the end, the one by whom Phantásia is created ever and ever again and by whose death it is going to be destroyed forever. She's the wisest of all beings, respected by every creature and her Word counts everywhere. Nothings exists against her will but she does not interfer. She is the mightiest creature of Phantásia but she never uses her power but regards everything, good, evil, beautiful, ugly etc as being equal in her Empire. To live on and to keep Phantásia in existence she needs from time to time a new name given by a human. In the Neverending Story, the Childlike Empress is sick and dying and none of the 500 doctors knows what's wrong with her. She then sends Atreyu on the Great Quest, obviously to find out about her disease. Yet it become clear that she knows well what is wrong: she needs a new name but it's been a long time since a human came to give her one. Being almost forgotten by humans, she is more and more dying and Phantásia and all its inhabitants with her. Thus Atreyu thinks that he is looking for the answer of the disease not knowing that the Childlike Empress sent him to bring the human to Phantásia. She keeps AURYN, the amulet which makes everyone to whom it is given representative of her, speaking with her authority. She always resides on top of the giant Ivory Tower.
* Xayíde
"Sorceress of the Seeing Hand". She takes over Bastian (who keeps AURYN, the amulet which makes him being the representative of the Childlike Empress and thus being able to use her power) in order to become ruler of Phantásia. She influences him and by sowing distrust she destroys the friendshipf between Atreyu and Bastian and thus unleashes the Battle for the Ivory Tower in which Bastian hurts Atreyu with his magic sword Sikánda (which then turns black). Xayíde dies when following Bastian to the Old Emperors' City.
* Uyulála
the "Voice of Silence". Her whole existence is only her voice. She lives in the Deep Palace of Secrets beyond the Three Gates and is known as the great Oracle that knows about everything. She only talks in rhymes and so should be the listerener's answers. Atreyu is the last one to talk to her before she and the palace were absorbed by the Nothing. Petrus sprach zu ihm: „Da du uns
die Elemente und Ereignisse der Welt deutest, so sage uns:
Was ist die Sünde der Welt?“
Der Erlöser sprach:
„Es gibt keine Sünde.
Ihr seid es, die der Sünde Bestand verleiht,

euer ehebrecherisch verderbten Natur folgt;
da ist die Sünde.

Weiter fuhr er fort und sprach:

„Das Haften an der Materie
erzeugt eine Leidenschaft gegen die Natur.

lasst euch von den Bildern
eurer wahren Natur leiten.

Nach diesen Worten verließ er sie.

Mit diesen Worten wendete Maria ihren Sinn zur Güte,
und sie ließen sich von den Worten des Erlösers erleuchten.
Da sprach Petrus zu Maria:
„Schwester, wir wissen, dass der Erlöser dich geliebt hat,
anders als die übrigen Frauen.
Sage uns die Worte, die er dir anvertraut hat,
an die du dich erinnerst
und von denen wir keine Kenntnis haben.“
Maria antwortete und sprach zu ihnen:
„Was euch zu hören verwehrt blieb,
das will ich euch verkündigen.
Ich sah den Erlöser in einer Vision,
und ich sagte zu ihm:
‚Herr, ich schaue dich heute
in dieser Erscheinung.’
Er antwortete:
‚Selig bist du, die dich mein Anblick nicht verwirrt.
Denn wo der Nous ist, da ist der Schatz.’
Da sprach ich zu ihm:
‚Herr, sage mir nun,
wer deine Erscheinung schaut, in diesem Moment,
sieht er sie durch die Psyche
oder durch das Pneuma?’
Der Erlöser antwortete und sprach:
‚Weder durch die Seele noch durch Pneuma;
sondern der Nous, der zwischen diesen beiden steht,

As you can see I really fell in lovw with Tolkien's Silmarillion and I can only give those of you who call themselves "fans" of the world of The Lord of the Rings the advice to read it. It's beautiful and full of important information to understand every single did in The Lord of the Ring better. The Silmarillion tells its own stories which are full of battles, love, despair, hatred, passion, defeat and victory. I adore the history of the Elves who do not play the guiding role in The Lord of the Rings and I found out that their stories are the real great and glorious ones in Middle Earth. My most favorite character is Galadriel. Once when you've fully read Tolkien's works you will find out that she plays a greater and more important role than it seems and that she's one of the mightiest and most important persons in the whole Tolkien universe.

In the first moment I couldn't believe that it was really him who was killed by Avada Kedavra. HIM? Why him? It's always seemed that nothing could overwhelm him, he always knew what to do and now he's dead?
Killed by the one he trusted in?
Somehow this seems odd to me. It was from the beginning of the book too clear who was the bad guy...from the beginning Joanne K. Rowlings gave the impression of him being really an evil character. But to me this doesn't appear as the usual style of Rowling's writing! She normally tells her story and in every book there was a sudden and unexpected changing! This constellation here was too clearly to see. I think there will be another changing in the next book!
He is not a killer. But he did it which was maybe part of a plan of the person that was actually killed....this is my point of view.
Something's going on which does not fit to the normal Harry Potter style.
And I'm convinced thet he knew that he would be killed....maybe wanted it this way. Part of his own plan?

I can't tell how excited I was to see how the last part of the saga turned out. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a "freak" concerning Star Wars or a specialist who even knows the smallest detail, every planet and every people but just someone who likes a bit of Science Fiction. I've read some reviews about Episode III and so I knew in which scenes there might be failings. I also knew what newspapers, iternet-magazines and TV reporters did not like about this movie but of course I wanted to get an own and personal opinion. So here it is:
Generally I was really enjoying the whole 2,5 hours of the movie. As it's easily to see in the trailers the special effects and the computer-made sceneries were just looking gorgeousely and they did a really good job designing the animals and creatures all around the Star Wars universe.
But the movie wa quite different to every other part of the Star Wars saga I've seen. It seemed to me that there was far less music in background, the whole spectacle was immersed in a kind of melancholy and depression. They colors and the mood of the sceneries did their part to enforce the impression. But in my eyes it was done in the best way to show how the Galactic Republic finally failed and turned into a dictatorship pf evil, into the Dark Empire. The special thing was that normally everyone knows what has to happen: Anakin Skywalker's fall into darkness, the transformation of Chancellor Palpatine into the dark Emperor, the death of the Jedi Order, the birth of Anakin's children and so on. Everyone knows that there must be a bad end. A very bad one. Cause Episode I-III showed the way from light into darkness whereas IV-VI showed the battel for freedom and the end of the reign of evil. Different story, different feelings. I think that the fall of the Republic in Star Wars is also a sign to show how easily democracy can be brought down if people loose their faith in it. The Star Wars crew used a good example for this: the history of Germany between 1919 and 1933. If you ask me it's was pretty much the same. The way Weimar Republic failed and was rotten from its interior and finally was transformed into the Nazi Terror Regime by Hitler.
So all in all: The story is pretty interesting and well told, the scenery is fantastic and the actors are okay (especially the "actor" Yoda!). They "new" Anakin, surrounded by the dark side of the Force is simply great!
But there are some things which aren't that well done in my opinion. It's above all the relation between Anakin and Padmé. It was pretty ridiculous in Episode II, especially cause of the artistic and wacky dialogs whcih weren't able to express the emotions. In Episode III it's not that bad ( the actors are still okay!) but somehow it's a bit difficult to believe the dramatic story. There are again these sentences which would never be spoken by a normal person in such a situation and which make the scene a bit unreliable. So this is one point of a German newspaper I agree with: the realtion seems a bit sterile. At the end it is really great when Padmé's facing the catastrophy but the rest of the movie...well....the one likes this way of expressing emotions, the other one does not. I don't. Decide on your own.
The way Padmé dies also seems a bit cheap in my eyes...not realistic and just provoking tears or something, I don't know.
Regarding all these points I think that Star Wars: Episode III is a really great movie, the tragedy of a whole galaxy. I was very amazed. So this is a part of my point of view concerning this movie! Cheers!

Lightbringer, Morningstar, Son of Aurora
First creation of God long before every other angel or spiritual being. Mightiest creature in the cosmos after the Lord himself and "like a God". He is the most beautiful angel and he has a very special and mighty light which can fully be andured only by God himself and the Seven Holy Angels. The Creator once gave him so much power to become his "son who should sit at the right side of the Lord and rule forever". He was a sencond creator since he had the power and the authority to create (like every high angel) things and ideas of his own mind .
Lucifer was arrogant, selfish and too mighty. He got ambitions to eliminate God and rule the cosmos alone, he didn't want to share his power. He started to disturb the creation and to instigate a rebellion against God. He claimed to "be like God" and to be adored and worshipped like him. Finally the Heavenly War started, battle that was longer than millions of years, the whole cosmos was nearly destroyed when it ended. But Heaven won and the Armies of Michael and Uriel bannished Lucifer and his armies down to the Underworld... this was the end of the neverending glory of the Lightbringer and the Morningstar. Now he is the eternal opponent of Heaven and known as Lord of Destruction, Belial, Lord of Flies, Satan.

The Seven Holy Angels:
The Holy Angels are the highest and most powerful creatures which exist in the whole creation of God. They were the first angels (after Lucifer) who had been made in the beginning and they are much older than every other angel or heavenly spirit. Their existence had begun in the thoughts of the Lord long before the first material thing was made. Each of them combines every attribute which also appears in the Nine Choirs in his single person. They are the “Seven Majesties” and the Princes of Heaven. The origin of their power is their deepest and endless love for God, their father. The Seven Holy Angels are the only ones who can fully endure the direct presence of the Lord, they fully understand the essence of God and even “know the secret name of God” (Jewish mythology). They sit on special thrones which can never be reached by any other creature but themselves. Their tempers are different and they are the only angels who revealed their names to the cosmos (most known Gabriel, Michael, Raphaen and Uriel). They never descend from Heaven but in special occasions (Annunciation to Mary etc.) and are normally standing on the top of the stairs which lead to the Throne of God. Their appearance is always described differently since no one (even some angelic ranks) knows their real shape which maybe could never be described. It is told that they are “clothed by the thoughts of God”.

Seraphim
These are the highest order or choir of angels. They are always staying around God’s Throne and “sit in the heart of the Light of the Lord” so they cover their eyes with their wings since even these highest heavenly spirits cannot endure the pure light which comes from God. Seraphim are said to reside so powerful that no human being could ever endure their appearance. They possess an own light which makes them looking like “having numberless wings” and “being like the sun”. Well, I just found a new favorite movie! This movie and Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain really caught my heart and my feelings. After both of them I went out of the theater just thinking "beautiful" or "amazing". And still the two are so different to each other...and at the same time similar. I mean, there aren'nt just nearly the same actors but there's also this wonderful atmosphere that really shows that this movie is no Hollywood Mainstream shit. Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a master and a great director who knows how to express feelings and how to realize creative ideas. Look at the colors, the way the characters are behaving and the scenery.

Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain was funny, fantastical, absurd, bizarre and at the same moment so emotional and lovely. How couldn't I love the characters? This movie gave some more space to dream. It shows that even the smallest things can be important and change the life of many.

Un long dimanche de fiançailles has two sides. One is the indestructible love of a young woman who can't accept the death of her beloved one in a senseless war. She tries everything to find him. Is it the world which forbids dreaming and hope? Doesn't it depend on us, our will and our strength, how much we can try to arrive at our goal? There are things that want to hinder the human-being on his way. But is it really an obstacle? Or just anything which just seems to be invincible? Mathilde shows us: Nothing is impossible. Not just for God but for everyone of us. Where there's a will there's a way.
The second side: The hard pictures of a senseless war fought between 1914 and 1918 causing misery and catastrophies in the whole world. The movie gives an impression of the conditions in which soldiers had to live...but did they really want it? Is a war a thing wanted by everyone or isn't it just the sick conceit of the mighty leaders of nations? War isn't just fought by using weapons...it's fought by using human-beings. There aren't just houses and cities destroyed, eliminated and leveled to the ground -they can be rebuilt. But the personal future of every human -once destroyed- cannot be rebuilt.

I know I haven't been around here very often but believe me, I do try it! Nevertheless school is so stressy these days (I'm appoaching the final examinations....) and just disgusting. In Germany we say "Die Luft ist raus" which means there just no strength left to use for school and stuff. After two more or less hard years it just must have an end, soon.
My plans?
I wanna go to the USA in September to visit my friend in Minneapolis, maybe for about 4 weeks or so. Then I'd like to start my studies at university but maybe I'll have a "gap year" outside of Germany but that's not sure yet.

Well, I'm pretty surprised but now -a time full of work- I'm very creative. I got a work in progress, maybe I'll call it Trio Infernale cause it shows my three beloved characters. It's not finished yet though it's pretty simply made...but I use much care so I need much time. Perhaps I'm gonna submit it this week or later. Finally my dreams will come true at the end of April with the final examination and my school career will definitely be finished! YAY!

Well, don't get me wrong...school is funny and cool sometimes and I've always thought not to be able to leave it easily. But NOW after 2 HARD final years called "Kollegstufe" I really got sick of all that fucking shit.
So....looking forwarf for the last test.
I really want to write...it's much to learn and to prepare for but finally...

FREEDOM! (at least for a certain time....)
April 29th it starts....ha! Nothing to be worried about. I hope.

Ahhotep the Victorious
Ahhotep I was the daughter of Sekenenre Tao I and Queen Tetisheri. She was the wife of the 17th Dynasty king Sekenenre Tao II, who was also her brother. She had two sons, Kamose and Ahmose, who succeeded their father after he was killed in a battle against the Hyksos. Sekenenre Tao II had been the king of only Upper Egypt. His sons managed to unite Upper and Lower Egypt. They assumed full power over the country. Kamose died before they were able to defeat the Hyksos, but Ahmose ruled as Pharaoh. Ahhotep lived until she was about 90 years old and was buried beside Kamose at Thebes. It is well known that it was Ahhotep who pushed her sons to fight the Hyksos and together with the "Isis-Conspiracy" mostly she was responsible for the victory and the re-foundation of Egypt. Ahhmose was a great worshipper of the goddess Isis and she let build some temples for her. Even during the reign of Pharao Ahmose the influence of the Queen Mother was very strong, it's even to suggest that she inofficially made all the politics until her death, since Ahmose later was a bad ruler.

Nitocris
The Turin Canon mentions her name and Manetho said of her that she was braver than a man, the most beautiful of women, and fair skinned with red cheeks. Herodotus says that a group of conspirators assassinated the king and installed his sister, Nitocris, on the throne instead. She had a large underground chamber built and then invited to dinner in it all the men she believed to have been involved in the murder of her brother. Then she let the room be filled with snakes and wild animals and everyone was killed. Her politics and the enthousiasm that the people felt for her was still alive when Egypt became Roman province.

Sobek-Nefru
Sobek-Nefru was a half sister of Amenemhet IV. It is possible that she began as regent for an infant son before claiming the throne in her own right. Manetho mentions her in his list of Egyptian rulers and she also appears in the Turin Canon. A Nubian Nilometer is dated to the 3rd year of her reign and a cylindrical seal bears her name and title. Three headless statues of her were found in the Faiyum, and a part of Amenemhet III’s Labyrinth can be attributed to her. Sobek-Nefru was very famous and adored by the Egyptian since she is said to have had blond hair. This information is very weak because blond hair was generally unknown in Egypt of the 2nd millenium BC. It's told that she was a very tough but couragious woman, very intellectual and well-mannered. During her reign the Hyksos trive invaded Egpyt and it was Sobek-Nefru, who lately gave her country into the hands of the enemy in order to prevent war and bloodbathes. She finally comitted suicide with all the members of her court before the Hyksos leader came up to the palace of Memphis.


Hatshepsut (Maatkaré)
Queen Hatshepsut was the first great woman in recorded history: the forerunner of such figures as Cleopatra, Catherine the Great and Elizabeth I. Her rise to power went against all the conventions of her time. She was the first wife and Queen of Thutmose II and on his death proclaimed herself Pharaoh, denying the old king's son, her nephew, his inheritance. To support her cause she claimed the God Amon-Ra spoke, saying "welcome my sweet daughter, my favourite, the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Maatkare,Hatshepsut. Thou art the King, taking possession of the Two Lands." She dressed as a king, even wearing a false beard and the Egyptian people seem to have accepted this unprecedented behaviour. She remained in power for twenty years and during this time the Egyptian economy flourished, she expanded trading relations and built magnificent temples as well as restoring many others. Eventually her nephew grew into a man and took his rightful place as pharaoh. The circumstances of this event are unknown and what became of Hatshepsut is a mystery.

Having failed to revenge herself on the murderer, she returned to Egypt and married her full brother, Ptolemy II. Genauso sind wohl die Harmonie und das wahnsinnig hohe Niveau, die Vollendung der Form und all das Können Goethes im Faust I/II, der dieses Meisterwerk deutscher Sprache geschaffen hat, in keiner Übersetzung auch nur annähernd so intensiv auszudrücken...

I'll go to Paris at the beginning of September 2004. Isn't that gorgeous? I love French and the savoir vivre ^__^
I'll definitely enjoy my stay there by doing much sightseeing and relaxing

2007: Iceland, Sweden, Norway
2008: Egypt, Istanbul
2009: Canada
2010: Japan/Asia

Well, many many destinations....I'm still dreaming....sorry. I hope that I'll have the chance to fulfill these dreams! I simply love travelling...
