has come and passed and a lot has happened. Busy with surviving different kinds of issues, I nearly forgot about art and drawing I didn't find any inspiration. Now, however, the summer rain is falling on me and that's like the sun shining on you.
I am back!

The ultimate proof is 3 works of art during the same week. More is coming as soon as I finish. Soon I'm sixteen, too! Man, that feels really old.

I thank those who haven't abandoned the attempt of watching me, I really hope you all stay. I shall be more active commenting on your art too, now.

Alright, I have watched a lot of anime. Not Naruto/Inuyasha/namethecrap. NOTHANKYOU.
I finished Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and it is of course lovely.
I also have finished Ergo Proxy, which was amazing too.
And Paranoia Agent, which was cool.
Currently, I'm watching Monster, which is great so far.

I haven't updated the journal for a while, and I keep deleting old posts. I just get these moments when I hate them and then I delete them.
I'm really busy with various stuff right now, so I don't have much time to draw. I'm looking forward to do an illustration for an amazing song here, and I'll do it digitally. I try to reply to comments and comment on my watchers, but I'm not succeeding too well.
I will probably stop watching some people, and if it's you, it's nothing personal - I just don't have enough time.

About two years ago I started listening to Nightwish, this Finnish band pretty much everyone has heard about. Back then Turunen was still the singer of the band... but not for long. That year she got kicked out by the other band members in an open later.
During the spring 2007 they got their new singer Anette Olzon and Nightwish fans have been in hot discussions whether Nightwish is better with or without Tarja.

My personal opinion is that these two solists can't be compared. Tarja Turunen has a classical voice and could maybe sing some kind of opera. Sure, for some this might have been a really great deal of the whole Nightwish phenomenon, but I have to admit that not for me. Sure, Tarja was great as vocalist, but the lyrics and the music mattered more to me.
Anette has done a great job in my opinion and before I hear or see anymore along the lines of this; PLEASE grow up Finnish people - the fact that Anette is Swedish doesn't affect her voice or the quality of the band.
Well, Anette's voice of course is nothing like Tarja's, but I don't think the boys wanted a new Tarja. They wanted something fresh and new, and they got that. Her voice is great, not classical, but she's sure as experienced as Tarja.

When I first heard Eva, the first single with Anette, I wondered where the band had gone. I really disliked that song and I do so still. Still I tried to look at it from the bright side; the singer's voice was quite good and there was something Nightwish behind it. Amaranth thrilled me for a while whilst Bye Bye Beautiful disappointed me. I still decided I wanted the album and got it for Christmas. When I first put it on, I wasn't sure if I'd even want to hear it, but I gave The Poet and the Pendulum a chance and I found that I liked it. I continued listening and YES it was good! Maybe not as great as Ghost Love Score but they're on it.

If you want to compare Tarja and Anette, I say listen to Angels Fall First and compare it to Dark Passion Play. Dark Passion Play is a lot better in my opinion (GODDAM MY EARS HURT FROM THE CARPENTER >.< ).

Tarja has gone her own way by now and so has the rest of Nightwish. Comments like 'TARJA BACK' and so on are completely childish. Tarja is the past, Anette is the future. I'm certain that the next album will be better than Dark Passion Play, which does tire me after a few times of hearing it. Instead of being so negative about everything I feel the boys of Nightwish should get some respect. Tuomas said in the open letter to Tarja that he couldn't write songs for her to sing.
If Tarja still would be in the band it would sound awful today, mark my words. Respect the boys' choise to move on. Maybe when the new assembly of Nightwish know eachother better the songs find ways to use Anette's voice specialities in spectacular ways.

We just hope Nightwish doesn't sink to the level of Evanescence or Within Temptation.
