I'm a professional photographer who owns a studio in MT. I started my business because I love photography, but after rapid growth, lots of 60-80 hour weeks and now with 4 employees, I find I am spendingh too much time doing adminstrative stuff and not enough doing photography, at least not the really creative stuff I love.

I will start posting a little of my work as I have time (I have to make sure I have up to date model releases first).

I'm married, have three girls, and live in the mountains of Montana. I've been here for 19 years. It's becoming more crowded than I like personally but that's part of the dynamic that is driving the business growth.

My website is something I threw together quickly to get something up, but it does have some of my work on it. The blog is the best part right now, because i try to update it several times a week, although I just got back frokm a two week trip, so I'm behind right now. I have a major upgrade in the works that should be online soon. I'm doing it all mylslef and learning as I go. I like having the full control over my website and I like learning so it has been fun.

We mostly photograph families, babies, kids and seniors. I used to do a lot of model portfolios, which I enjoy, but there isn't much of a modeling business here, and less than there used to be. I use that experience and approachin my high school senior work which seems to be very popular. (I just had a family fly over from Singapore so I could do the daiughter's senior portraits. That was definately a first for me!)

I stumbeld onto this place looking for something else. I love it here, there is a lot of quality work here. I am especially drawn to the self portraits and the artistic nudes, if they really are artistic and well done. I can't stomach anything that that is exploitive or even hints of porn.

That's it for now. I just returned from a session with two senior girls. We left at 6:30AM and hiked about a mile up to a waterfall for some great shots. I have to do some editing and then I promised I would get some of them on my blog for them to see.

Thanks everyone that has stopped by, esp since there's not much to see yet. I will work on it!
