I'm not sure how I got to 1000 views exactly, but thanks to everyone that did.

I think I'll blame the disney fans for that Aladdin pic, myself.

I wish I had something to upload in honor of 1k views, but I don't. I suppose I'll have to try for the next milestone.

Thanks for your views!

Normally this is my favorite time of the year. It's not too hot, but its not too cold, and it gets closer to my birthday, as well as fun times like water parks.

But this year I seem to have developed allergies. I've never had them before. They're kicking my butt.

Seriously, I can't imagine how people deal with this. It's messed me up hard. Hopefully the medicine I'm getting today will help.

But not everything is bad. Nintendo announced that they're remaking Pokemon Gold and Silver for the DS (finally). Though the titles are kinda meh: HeartGold and SoulSilver.

In other news my beloved Shaman Silversky has undergone a dramatic transformation, switching from Enhancement to a secondary spec as Elemental. For you non-WoW players, that means instead of killing things with weapons, I kill them with pew pew lightning. A particular member of my guild was the most outspoken for this change (others wanted me to be a healer instead) and ironically now when I show up for a dungeon run he's like "You're coming as Elemental? Why?"

We started running Naxx as well. Our first run was decent, we cleared half the place. Not bad considering half of us have never seen the place. And no, I can't do the safety dance.

I just realized the last time I updated this journal was before Wrath of the Lich King came out. I'm such a slacker.

So in WoW it's Children's Week. The week where you get to drag an orphan to war battlefields. Aren't we great role models?

In fact, this brings us to 'School of Hard Knocks', an Achievement for doing things on the battlegrounds. Now, Player vs Player battlegrounds can be fun. In fact, when Silversky was 70 I sent an unhealthy ammount of time in them. But I haven't been in there for... you guessed it, six months. This was actually a refreshing chance to go back in and try it out again.

Except, with the Achievements, people aren't trying to win. They're trying to get their Achievement before you get yours. It's ironic that the opposing faction has been more helpful than my own. In my case, a Horde in Alterac Valley actually helped me by letting me cap a tower. I intend to pay it forward when I go to Warsong Gulch, and spend a few matches helping the Horde get their Achievements.

If you play, and find yourself in the battlegrounds doing this... pay it forward. Recap one of your towers in Alterac Valley so the other faction can cap it again. Help less than ideal flag carriers in Eye of Storm succeed. If everyone is playing defense in Warsong Gulch, take the offense and pick up the other sides flag, just so someone can return it. If more people do this, the event will run more smoothly.

And if you're one of those PvP people who is mad everyone else is in your battleground? Take a deep breath, and remember its just for a week. Chill out, stop griefing your own faction and help them get their Achievements, and then maybe you'll see less 'casual' people in your Battlegrounds.

So, obviously I play World of Warcraft. Its only a few weeks until Wrath of the Lich King comes out, so the game is in a weird transition phase right now.

Yesterday a special event started. Plagued grain showed up in Booty Bay. Today, they've been delivered to the capital cities, and roaches have gotten into it. The plague of undeath makes you into a zombie, which makes you hostile to just about everything in the game except other zombies.

Some people like it and some people hate it. Some people use it to make things hard on other people. Seems like the Warcraft forums are abuzz of people complaining, if you like it you're an idiot griefer and if you hate it you're a whiny punk. Amazingly, I think you can be in the middle, but no one agrees.

So whats my stand on it? I don't want to be turned into a zombie, but I also don't begrudge people their fun. Its a temporary event that will soon be over, and likely we'll not see it again ever. I just hope Blizzard doesn't listen to the whiners and remove this unique chance. I've never been involved in something of this scale in my year playing the game, and someday I'm sure I'll be telling the newer players about 'the good ol' days...'
