The reason for this: I'm sick of people stealing my images. Yes, it has happened on more than one occasion. If you're going to steal my image, at least change the fucking filename so a google search of "refemall" doesn't find it.

A really great photographer in my area asked yesterday if I wanted to come over to his house so we could talk photography. So, of course, I jumped on the opporunity. Boy, am I glad I did. Darryl (~D113, [link] ) knows very much about photography. We talked over many things, including full manual control, custom functions, and aperture/iso/shutter speed combinations. To be honest, I really am glad that I did go to visit him, because he taught me things I never would have known on my own. I'm now confident enough to shoot in full manual control and RAW, with no problems.

So three drunk guys pissed on the Canadian National War Memorial in Ottawa. Their actions are under review. To be honest, their punishment should be to have 12 war veterans piss on them. Disrespectful fuckers.

North Korea tested 7 intercontinental ballistic missles (ICBM's) shortly after the space shuttle launched on July 4. For some reason, that's a bad thing, says prezzie Bush. So let me get this straight; the leader of a country which has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the moon, and the means to deliver them via ICBM's, is bitching because a much smaller country has created a similar weapon that, mind you, failed 2 seconds after launch. Also, keep in mind, that this country has not yet attained the ability to create nuclear weapons, but are on their way. Can you say hypocracy?

I had another thing I saw in the news today to bitch about, but I can't remember.

Well, after a bit of looking, I've managed to secure myself a brand new lens for the 20D.

I got a new Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telelphoto zoom lens. It'll definitely be alot of help for the action photography (paintball, various sports) I'll be doing in the coming months.

Can't wait to use it in the field!

Well, I'm 19. Yep, it's my birthday.

Kind of bittersweet.

I came home today, to learn that my grandmother has 3 weeks to live. If that. Cliche, but I all of the sudden wish I knew her better. Tho, I know her pretty well already.

That bitch that betrayed me had the balls to wish me a happy birthday. I would rather see you burn in hell. Thanks.

My arms hurt from working out a couple days ago.

I essentially worked a full shift at a job I don't officially have, for no pay.

I will be spending today, my birthday, alone. My parents work, my brother is at school. I'll probably go into my own work. They're having a barbecue. I'll pretend it's in my honour.

And somehow, I thought turning 19 would be better.

At least my friends are there for me. Well, the friends I haven't quite betrayed. That seems to be a theme.

How clever life is.
