Right now I'm up in Maryland until Thursday. My last batch of photography all came from the Salisbury Zoo. It's an amazing, donation only, zoo that is kid friendly. I was really, really impressed and suggest that you go if you're in the area. [link]

Soon I'll be taking six weeks of English followed by a week-long research project. That will last into early August.

When I get home, hopefully I will be going to the Cayman Islands for about a week to go diving and expand my underwater portfolio with pictures from my Nikon D90. I can't wait

Yeah, I've piddled with photography from time to time, and I still LOVE underwater work, but I have never taken a class with real assignments and projects and an actual GOAL. Goal, hmm....what a novel idea. I think I am very goal oriented :\

The first week out of school my house flooded, and I had to pack around all of that to get to go to the aforementioned summer camp.

Said camp was absolutely incredible. There are no words than can describe the experience, and no pictures that can express all the words that do need to be said. I cherish all the memories I have, and I can't wait to do it again next year.

And the other two weeks have involved flood cleanup, unpacking, crying, driver's ed, and teaching bible school. It's been fun, but nowhere near what those three weeks were.

So there is my summer thus far. My birthday is coming up soon (the 24th) so that's exciting. I've got some more scuba diving to do, hopefully that will yield some more photos.

Life is full of surprises, you just have to open your eyes and look a little. (And release your inner insanity) ^_^

In the last year I have discovered what inspires me. My human nature category of poetry can basically all be traced back to *people* that I know, friends or otherwise. Sure there is some mixed in Nature/Music inspired works, by my relationship with others is my muse.

Next month, I am going to a summer studies program for three weeks. I will be meeting all new people with the exception of one Hopefully I will be inspired by new people, new places, and new ideas. Hope this summer is a blessed one for all of you.

Two: My poetry has prospered recently, I blame for that. He is wonderful, and an inspiration. I also blame for giving me the idea to try out free-verse poetry which has helped my creativity.

Three: He is home. It's that simple. A friend came home, and I am so thankful for that.

I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why isn't notebook paper constantly suffocating students while they take notes in class? I'll tell you why: because paper can't beat anybody; a rock would tear it up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/paper/scissors, I always choose rock.
