I finally had the time and inspiration to manip something. I'm really sorry about the lack of updates, I've been dealing with too much at the same time, and hardly have time to sit down and manipulate photos or draw.
Also, it seems like September is month-of-artistic-vacuum for me. Meaning I can't have a single good idea this time of the year. xD Happens every year. Or maybe is just a coincidence.
Still working on that angel, if anybody is wondering. And I will never draw anything with feathers again in my life, thanks. (70+ hours of work and I finished just ONE wing. Realism + feathers = pain.)
Working on a new book (yays) and still translating Alisto (not so easy as I though, actually).
Also still working on that Pin-up deck commission. As soon as I finish painting some of the girls I'll post the best of them here, so you guys can have a better idea of my drawing style if you're interested in commissions.
Speaking of which, I'm just taking small commissions right now. Stuff like tatoos, portraits of characters (shoulders-up only) and small drawings and simple manipulations in general. The deck, new book and angel picture are just draining my time right now.
But I'll be sure to let you guys know when I get back to "full commission" status. xD

Beside my usual tatoo requests, I've got a big commission involving a full Deck of cards and pin-up. xD It's going to take me a while, but I'll be sure to post the best cards here now and then. Also, I'm working on a big realistic digital painting (you can see W.I.P on my scraps), it has wings, and it's taking me forever. XD I shall never draw angels again in my life. ><

Ok, as long as nothing else burst into spontaneous combustion around here (ok, MAYBE not that spontaneous) I'm back. Maybe a week or so to organize stuff and finish up the last of the commissions I had piled up, and I'm back on taking them.
Again, to my watchers, commissioners, to the clubs, friends and pretty much everyone who passed by... I'm terribly sorry about the long absence.
As I told you guys before, I had a few technical problems in a row, and without the money from the commissions, ended up finding myself a job. It was a couple of months airbrushing pimples out of annoying 15 years olds before their Sweet Sixteen party, then taking the pictures of the party and airbrushing it all again.
If only this was the worst thing in that studio... *shivers* But, past is past, lest not talk about the job. XD Ever again.

Well, here I am, I'm posting a new piece today. This one was made after this whole damn mess. (The Wish upon a Star one was already here to post when PC burned down.) hope you like.
I'm also working in a painting. It'll take some time, though, I'm incredibly slow on digital painting.

Thanks a lot for being around after so much time. And, no, you guys won't ever get rid of me.

I'm SO sorry for all the piled up notes, I swear to you I'll do my best to do all the commissions, answer to all critiques/compliments/questions, as fast as I can.

I really DO appreciate your support, and I'll be looking everyone's gallery back as soon as I can, but right now I have around 300 notes to look thought, a lot of then are commissions, so I would guess you guys won't be hearing a lot of me for the next month.

I finally finished the first grammar fix for the 23 existing chapters of Alisto, and the history is finally on-line.
I'm already working of chapter 24, but It'll probably take me a while, since I'm working on the English translations now.

I'm pretty happy about how Alisto is coming out. I've even won a small award given by a Brazilian literature-specialized site for well designed characters, which makes me really happy. ^_^

Also, I have to thank *Asaenath and the Judges from Victorian Nightmare's contest for the honorable mention of Gothica Noveau among the winers. I'm really flattered. ^__^

I'll upload more work here after this weekend. I'm just really busy with the final tests here, so, wish me luck. (There's math, I'll need it)

I decided to update this while I take a rest from a digital portrait I'm painting. Srly, I'm starting to think I should just stick with photomanipulation and shirtless-hot-men portraits. xD
Well, not that I'm not drawing a hot man this time (old habits stay for life xD), but he has clothes. (Yeah, sad. =/) And clothing shading is a pain to do on PS. xD I can't make a plain shirt look good. I wonder how the hell I'm gonna do the jeans and leather boots. o.O (I honestly have no idea on how to texturize jeans. xD This piece will take a week xD)
I guess I will just stop by now and look around for some tutorials.

I can't draw, tranlate, write, ilustrate, do the comics, the CoD, post on the blog, do Photomanips, study for the tests, work with the comissioned retouchs and play freaking SPORE at the same time, guys. xD I'm defining priorities, that's all. But It all will be done. o-o

The News

I'm here, paiting my stuff, retouching and restauring photography for a couple of buckets, selling a hand-painted box now and them... Only thing missing for my works is a digital camera, so I can come back to make your eyes bleed with my atempts to pin-ups again. xD But I'll get that eventually. ^^
I do think that before next years is over I can have my garage reformed to be a little shop, wich increases my chance on professional camera greatly. (And also hopefully take out a lot of hand-painted boxes from everywhere in this house Seriously, open any door here: drawings and boxes will fall all over you. xD)

And, since now I gave up the freaking pills I've been taken (pills. the new candy of the world. Unhappy, take a pill. In pain, take a pill, goes to much to bathroom, take a pill, doesn't go enought to bathroom, take a pill, fell like it, take a pill. Shame on me for having started with those anyway), now I can work. Yeah, the pills didn't let me. xD
But now that I fell less like a "happieh zombieh", I guess I can slowly go back on doing my stuff.

Just woried about getting this gallery to become really random, like, photography, pin-ups, fantasy manipulations, dark art, paintings, comics, writing, drawings, everything all over the place. xD Oh, forgot my artisan crafts. xD
Normally a pleasant gallery to look at follows a style nd kind of art, and I'm a little woried about me going all random here, for I like and do almost about anything art related. u.u
And doing an account for each thing just doesn't work with me. I've tryed. ><

My tablet is finally here, I got used to it already (much easer than you might think it is, btw) and now I can do proper design for the Comics of Doom, so I decided to give it a propper storyboard too. I'll be drawing it as soon as I finish the digital portrait I'm painting. (I always wanted to give digital realism a go, but it's impossible with a mouse. So it was, like, the first thing I did with the tablet. "Tablet in the house! Gonnamakedigitalportraitnow" xD)
Charam, anyways.

CAN'T believe this happened. xD Seriously, I can't xD
I mean, I was hapilly googling my self (lol) after reading this ->[link] so I could see if there was anyone desperate enought to copy my crap stuff, and gues what? There is. xD
I found lots of sites (fotologs, myspace profiles, photobucket albuns, etc) containing my old and most popular picture, Cabaret Rose. Yeah, the one with my legs in fishined and a rose in my lap. Yep, this one -> [link]
Most of them were just people who didn't know it ilegal, just some polite request and the picture got removed.
Found, too, some people who changed hue our brightness/contrast, title (some times just title) and claimed the piece as their own.
Some agreed to take out the picture with just some e-mails, some waited for me to contact creative commons, then got scared by the legal terms on CC's rules and took off the pictures, etc.
There were like 30-40 diferent people claiming Cabaret Rose as their own. It was fucking stressing.
Also, I had to upload the original and non-edited photography that I used to make this piece as evidence (good thing I acctualy keep this stuff). This got some fotologs out-of-business, but my piece STILL on photobucket with no propper credit. Why, you guys ask?
Well, I sent photobucket's staff the same evidences I sent everywhere else, but it was not enought. They need my digital signature, wich I don't have, they need tags on the image, wich, back when I made Cabaret Rose, I didn't even know what the hell was, and they need a an American zip code, and I'm Brazilian. Great, right? ¬¬
I can't even contact the album's owner, since photobucket don't allow coments or nothing like that.
What sucks the most is, the guy/girl that did it changed the Title to "Fishinets and a Rose...". OH, REALLY CREATIVE, now. ¬¬ Why didn't I thought of that? u.u'
Anyways, at least the name of the file still "cabaret-rose-by-rigelblack.jpg", wich screams "freaking art thief" at his/her album. o-o

Please, people, PLEASE respect other people's artwork.
Don't make us put uggly DA watermarks on full size an screw up the piece's presentantion just so we can sleep well at night. ><

Btw, if I see Cabaret Rose anywhere that I didn't put it again, I'll have a break down xD

Edit: Seriously, I'll freak out with Photobucket at any second now. ¬¬
It's been four days already e-mailing them every sigle evidence I could ever think of, I'm amuzed that they didn't ask me to scan my teeth brush and e-mail them. >< Always missing something. First no evidence, then no evidence I'm Rigel (Tell me, is this even relevant? I mean... I gave evidences that the piece in question is Rigel's and not the album owner's. It's against law, agains Photobucket's terms of use, so what the hell? ¬¬
If they at least gave me a chance to e-mail the album owner's in anyway... Maybe the girl/guy don't mean to steal anything and just does not know it's ilegal, it happens a lot. But no.
No, mine, and a lot of other deviant's pictures will remain there being sold as prints.

Not really gone, actually, but I can't upload stuff anyways. The USB port of my dear old Camera was kind of exploded by a too high voltage. lol (Also was my mp4 player and my boyfriend's pen-drive. Not good. Not good at all)
Wich means, my friends, that you guys won't see my ugly face in a while, unless I scan myself. Well... Not going to happen. XD Too bright light for me.

The bright part is that now I MUST have a new camera, which will give me some new possibilities with thw pictures. Tje not-so-bright one is, well, I have spent the money I saved up to now in a better computer, so I can keep my studies in 3D-modeling (yeah, adventuring in dark watters, I am.), I'm able to work with better resolutions pics AND, to be honest, I can play The Sims II, Assassin's Creed, Perfect World, And a lot more neat stuff. ^^"
Anyways, I'll find a way of getting myself a good camera, and meanwhile, I'll focus on scholl... Maybe. But Probably not. xD

I mean, I don't have money for a studio, I don't have space for a proper "home-made" one.
My camera just sucks: The photos come out blurred if you don't use the flash, which means I can't use one of the bests friends of the photographer: Light Manipulation.
I can't go to a park or something like that to take pictures either, because of my silly non-professional blurring camera.
Costumes? Damn, I don't have money for studios or better cameras, why should I have for costumes? XD Everything you see here is adapted from normal clothing, old stuff I just cut around and sew by my self (they get ok for photos, but, believe me, impossible to actually wear. XD), or just a bunch of fabric put together whit pins. o.O
Scenery? My bed's sheets. xD Glued on my walls. xD My tripod = my desk. XD

Besides that, mom dreamed of a doctor-girl. xD Here I am photographing and modeling for pin-ups and fetish portraits, drawing tatoo commissions and etc. Not what my family sees as a proper job.

Anyways, my point here is... I go into all that trouble, improvise, make my own hair and makeup just to have a complicated photo session stopping and continuing because of timing and angle adjusts at the camera, arguing with parents about what is porn and what is art. Then I come here and post my work at deviantart... And Guess What? It worth it.

Every single problem I may have had when producing the pictures just fade away when I read a "It's fantastic", "I love your work", or even when someone points a mistake that I couldn't see before.
Even a fav whitout any more words, even a pageview.
Makes everything worthy, makes me happy, makes me want to produce more, despite difficulties.
That's why I wanted to say thank you.

...And I will stop this emotional bullshit here before someone trows a mouse or keyboard at me. i-i
