My last entry was not well timed, since it was a short time before anniversaries, Valentines, and other such things that I wanted to recognize. So now that things have slowed down a bit, I can finally take that much needed break that I was going on about, just to work on my technique and not have to worry so much about how the final result will look. I won't be submitting anything for a while, unless I decide to display my practice sketches. Or if something else comes up.

I have not been feeling great about my art lately. More specifically, my slow improvement. Obviously the reason is I'm not drawing enough, but after thinking about it a while, I realize the main reason is I'm trying to do too much at once. I still need work in many areas, and now here I am taking on OC and backgrounds too.

So I'm gonna stop coloring for a while, and I won't be taking on any more big projects. I know my recent works don't look like big projects, but that's the problem. I spend weeks on them and it looks like I spent only the afternoon. I'm going back to the basics to work on my lineart. I need to work on poses and drawing clothing, and I'm starting with expressions. I may or may not submit my practice sketches. In the meantime, if anyone knows of any specific areas where I could use improvement, I would appreciate if they would point them out. Nicely of course, no one likes insults. But please be honest. Hopefully if the basic things become easier I can finish things more quickly. And not improving is not making me happy. If you want to improve, you can never be satisfied with where you are now.

A cookie to whoever knows where I quoted that from. And be specific, I only have a few left.

In other news, I kinda more or less quit playing Gunbound. I'll never be very good at that game, and people are not nice when you're not good. So I switched to La Tale. If you like MMOs, but don't want to turn it into a second career *coughWoWcough*, this game is a fun option. It's like Maple Story only better, and I think La Tale came first anyway. Or that's what I heard. I play it with Pan on channel 7 usually.
