Next month is the release of their Single Image Edition and I will have two unrelated images in the glossy magazine.<br /><br />The response from the public to the Color Portfolio edition was great, lots of compliments on my featured "water drops" and even some printing requests from afar. <br />So that is the kind of feedback we all look forward to.<br /><br />And with that said, the last couple of submissions I have made to magazines/contests, I have broken the tradition of submitting my old favourites, you know the ones that should be published,  ]]></media:text>

Honestly, I have come close to burnout on a couple of occasions, because of the huge number of images I have taken since the spring. And all of the associated desktop time that goes with it nearly crushed me. And I love doing the 2 or 3 simple steps that I do with each image. It is not that I spend any significant amount of time with any image.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Well, the tools are dry, my bags are unpacked and the memories are still flooding in. <br />we had a great trip to whitehorse to compete in the air canada challenge. met with many old friends, made a bunch of new ones, and worked our butts off.<br /><br />just now am i realizing that we forgot to put the pom-pom back on top of our hunters touque. our only obvious mistake was the mis-positioning of the head. off by about 8 inches. bob, our partner from michigan, did a great job of reshaping the head to account for the alignment issue, you cannot really tell now unless you could see both shoulders. I made a mental note about midnight to remember the pom. oop ]]></media:text>

And I am submitting images to FARMBOY FINE ARTS / DESIGN, for their use in decorating facilities around the world.<br /><br />The flower pictures that I created this fall have also garnered me an invitation to a massive Tulip event in Holland next year. Kuekenhof. Because I have been photographing this poor little  plant over the last 4 days, and frankly, i love what I am seeing and the results, from my end, are off the scale, but it is time to move on. My work with the extension tubes has led to me worrying less about focus, and more about conpressing the scene in front of me. My best results have been with the 70 - 200 mm lens attached to all 3 extension tubes. There are some historical conflicts in using these two items together. The tubes are simple devices that allow you to focus closer than your lens is designed to, and the optical power of the  ]]></media:text>

When you go out targeting subjects, many times you walk right past other juicy items. But this is no lecture. <br />I have made a move forward and stepped backwards to do it. My camera has been in my hands quite a bit lately and of course I like that. When I have a chance you will see what has been catching my eye of late.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Just a note, one that is way overdue. Thanks to all that have made comments, and sorry for my lack of response to quite a few users. I appreciate each word.  <br />In the next week or so I shall be posting some recent pics again, and maybe you will see a shift in my work that will happen shortly thereafter. What I have been doing alot lately, is to work without a monopod/tripod. Playing within the flexibility of the digital format, and staying away from overdoing any photoshop corrections. I still like to think that I only work with what was possible when I was in the darkroom. What has resulted are alot of images that are captured with barely en ]]></media:text>
