Just thought I'd get rid of that somewhat morbid journal entry which had been there for more than half a year...

Anyway, school is done, and other things on the to-do list are waiting.

I would really love to get drawing again, but we shall see... as things stand, there's still a lot of wrapping up to do, and then it's looking like I'm off to college next year! Which is both extremely scary, moving out of home, but also an exciting prospect!

I hope all of you have been well - it would be awesome to get back in touch if you're all still out there! Gone are the days of our naive enthusiasm, but we can only try

I was in Melbourne until yesterday on a school art excursion over the weekend. Saw some damn awesome stuff like Rosalie Gascoigne's stuff... she's awesome.
Got a pair of Rebecca Sanver black suede + snake skin slingback heels for $55 reduced from $365. That made my day : D

It's holidays again! lol Maybe I'll just update my account whenever it's the hols... seems easier :/

It's like... nearly the end of the first of two weeks of holidays, and I haven't touched any work at all!! All like, 20+ hours of it or something. No music practice either.
Hmm.

Updating about camera stuff, back in January... some time... I won a voucher to spend online at Sony, so I'm going to get a camera! Just a nice basic one, coz like, it was within the budget of the voucher haha and I'd cry if I spent extra and got it broken/scratched/something. So basic is good.
This will mean I'll finally be able to post up some of my humungous stuff! (One of my things that I want to show you all is like, at least A2 in size............ it's massive) Woo.
Related, I do have all these photos that I would love to post up, but they feature people and I really don't want to cause privacy problems, so yeah. :/

I'm going positively Robert Pattinson and Twilight crazy (lol I'm a "fanpire"....... pfft get it?) so when the movie comes out in December, don't expect to hear from me for a while. I might be dead from hyperventilating too much. : D!!

Uhh about school, Year 11's pretty harsh. I have no prep/study periods because I'm doing 14 units... so I'm trying to figure out what subject(s) to drop. Right now I'm only considering Extension Math, Extension English and Visual Arts as they all seem pretty unnecessary for the science/medical courses I'm looking at for uni. I would really like to drop something very soon, but I'm going to try and see how I go this term, then make a decision. Seems the logical way to go about it, anyway...
If I could have it my way, though, I'd only do 10 or 11 units. But no. My school has a compulsory minimum of 12 units. sigh.
Other things about school that have been gay have been having classes some days until 5pm... get home after 6pm. If I don't have music or something as well. Ugh. And I've needed to quit like, 3 music ensembles because of not being able to handle the commitment, or my new extension classes get in the way... and I stupidly didn't try out for the school elite hockey team which would have been a good thing to do, but I'm dumb and didn't.
But all in all, school's alright right now.

Um and my sister made me sick on like, the 2nd day of the holidays. Awesome-ness.
It hurts to swallow my own saliva.

Won't bother with traditional "to-do list"......... I typed it up the other day and it's pretty horrific looking. Ugh.

I can't believe that summer holidays are already like, half finished agh
Hmm since I haven't journaled for a while, I guess I'll try and start some kind of discussion... I don't know about a lot of you guys, but I never ever get bored in the holidays. Often in the holidays though I always get messages from friends saying that they're always so bored, especially in the summer break because it's so long... and I'm just wondering, what the hell do you guys not do to make yourselves bored then?????
Like, I seem to find that in the holidays while I'm at home there's always endless stuff to do - like, of course there's browsing the internet and chatting with friends online (when I actually turn up online... see, I have many things to do), then I'm always trying to get on with a project, such as making a new website layout, learning new musical pieces, reading a book, go out for a run to get more fit... and then there's stuff around the house, like always cleaning up my room after I've chucked around all my clothes trying to decide what to wear, hanging up the washing and gardening. Of course there's also going out with friends and family, going shopping and just staying up late watching dvds.
And it's these things that keep me busy from day to day in the holidays. The good thing about doing all these things is that they all make me feel good and accomplished in some way. I know this is putting it bluntly, but it really does puzzle me why you guys all always seem so bored when clearly there's so much to do!
I know that I'm not taking all situations into account, but I just felt like putting this out there for some people to think about, in case if you are on holidays and are about to go bugging me about being bored. If you're a real life friend and actually want to go out and do something, that's absolutely fine, but if you don't have that intention, and just want to complain to me about being bored, just please... consider what it feels like to have people complain to you and you really honestly do not know how you can help because there are other things that you could (or should) be doing.
I'm sorry if this is really blunt, but it really has been bugging me for the past few years and I hope that maybe you guys can find something to achieve these holidays and not just waste this time that we can spend doing stuff that we don't always get to do while at school.
Didn't really turn out to be much of a discussion, eh. More a statement. xD;;
And please take into consideration this is only asking you to consider things, not to offend.


But on a friendlier note, a few weeks ago I got my free Final Fantasy XI starter pack in the mail and was wondering if any of you guys out there play as well and could maybe give me a few tips. I haven't actually installed it yet because I want a better idea of how the game works before I do, since it's only a 30-day subscription, but I'm about to download the full manual from the Square-Enix website

In terms of art-making, I have quite a few things to put up, but I'll probably need a camera, so while the sales are on, hopefully we can find a decent camera so you guys can see what I've been up to! Suggestions on a good, basic camera that is well-priced and available in Sydney, Australia would be welcome.
I guess I should also try and put up some videos that I did in my photography & digital media class at school... I'm thinking a link to a youtube upload is the way, but if any of you guys have experience in this area that'd be cool : D

Today I'm going out with my mum and sister to do some errands and then go do a bit of shopping... with some monies I gathered from X'mas I might go get the Twillight book boxset... ever since my sister got me into the books I can't stop thinking about it!! As you may've guessed from the title of this journal... I have been really busy, and still am.
I'm actually writing this in class because I don't have much opportunity to use the computer for leisure right now.
Stuff I've been doing is practically just school work and music (of all sorts) but there's LOTS of it. Like, school work divides itself into homework, study, assignments and exams, while music divides itself into rehearsals, a school musical (Guys and Dolls) and my 8th grade violin exam. x_x
Just last week I had my science half-yearly exam which counted for SEVENTY PERCENT of my report mark, which I got 41/66 for, but the grade as a whole did pretty badly - the top mark was something like 53 :/ Oh-well. And two days ago I had my maths exam which counted for the same amount... it was out of 70 marks, and I already know the highest mark I'll be getting is 49 because I didn't answer 21 marks worth of questions DX Not only due to lack of know-how but time too... I know some people who didn't answer even 28 marks worth x_x
Then... rehearsals are really full on right now because of like, concerts and everything DX I've been excused from a school music concert (quite grudgingly) because of my upcoming violin exam, but I also have to miss out on two performances of Guys & Dolls because of the exam as well. This weekend and next week there are going to be so many rehearsals for the musical, but hopefully I'll cope by just studying when the orchestra (which I'm in) isn't doing anything XD And on the 26th I have my 8th grade violin exam... my last grade before I start diplomas! At the moment I'm pretty confident with at least 60% of my technique and all of my pieces except for like, perhaps 2-3 passages... my sightreading is awesome, and aural tests are good too except for singing lower parts, although I'm meant to be a gifted alto choral singer. :/ For my last grade I got an A, so I wonder how this one's going to go... for my piano 8th grade I got a B+, it's getting hard. DX ... it really sucks how I have to miss out on some performances though, but if I want to do well on this exam I have to do it *sigh* Exactly the same as last year... but 8th grade is a bigger deal o_o

Mmm... and yesterday I got back two english essays - one of them I got 17 and a half out of 20 for, while the other I got 20/20 for. For the one I got full marks for, I had spent almost 8 hours researching on the weekend (and had only spent less than an hour actually writing up)................ but it doesn't count towards anything which is a total bummer. However, the 17 and a half one does count. DX GAY.

And that has been what I've been up to lately, as well as probably a whole ton of other stuff. I just wanna go online and have a good long yak with some of you guys but time and commitments really aren't allowing right now... D:

I hope you've all been well, and when this is all over (probably about 2-3 weeks...) I'll get to be alive and social again. : D

LOL!

Well like, two days ago...
I FINALLY GOT KINGDOM HEARTS 2 AND FINAL FANTASY XII! LYK, DOOD! XDD
FFXII is the utter awesome-ness, but all the vivid environment overload is getting to me... like seriously, why do they bother making people who won't talk to you? DX And then when walking not even close to them it beeps DDDDX V headache inducing... x_x But the battle system is quite cool and v different... I hate waiting around for attacks/actions to happen though, which is probably why I didn't like X-2 much either. Not saying I don't like XII. XD But like, yeah. Ugh. Whatever.
Because I've been busy, the first (and only, so far) time I actually popped KH2 into my PS2 was at my friend's place, and because none of the friends there are gamers they were all, "Uhh.................... right.........." when it got to the first cut scenes XDDD Like, they couldn't say "----" LOL Bit sad. So I just switch games to Dynasty Warriors 5 and demolished 500 soldiers with my friend Rob. XD

Oh-well. It be holidays!! Whoo hoo! XD But I have been, am and am going to continue being busy... things to do like homework, shopping, catching up with friends since I don't see them everyday at school... yeah lol
And next week I'm going to Melbourne for a choir tour!!!!!!!! So excited! XD And then as soon as that ends, I'm back at school at 7:15am for an orchestra rehearsal! Yay. ... so yeah, assume I shall have no internet access on that trip, so don't miss me much! XD (aww 'lix. DX )

Art-wise... if you saw my watercolour painting, there's still a few more of those for me to put up!! I just have to get around to scanning them. XDD I still haven't scanned an ink painting (done like the camel and hawk) and lino print shincolle... so lazy....................
These holidays I also have to finish off a canvas painting (somehow... I don't own paint at home lolol) and start another for school... as well as do a drawing... due third lesson back... v ghey... *sigh* Oh-well, hopefully when I've finished them, handed them in, gotten them marked and gotten it all back I'll remember to take a photo of it! (it's a trip-tych so it's kinda huge XD)

I don't think there's much else to talk about so I shall leave this journal short(er) and sweet(er), unlike my other journals! XDD

My house came 2nd in the house choir comp with "Tenterfield Saddler", behind first place by 12 marks xD; that like, sucks, because the points were way up in the high 600s or whatev. But I mucked up like, 2 bars on the violin part and I hope that didn't affect our chances. D: But then, they probs would've given it to the other house anyway because they've never won before in like, the 30+ years the contest's been happening XD Mine has won maybe... 3-4 times? :/

I may be going on a choir tour to Melbourne these Easter (April-May) holidays X3 That'll be awesome

I'm still stuck on finding a good topic for the English media project. I don't want a shallow, boring subject like global warming, the government's $10 billion desalination plan or all the political hype right now since the election's coming up, but I may have to. I think Anna Nicole Smith's death of Kate Middleton would be easy since there's so much about them in the media right now, but they go under the "shallow" heading. DX *sigh* Ghey-ness

Got the FMA movie yesterday since the dvd came out on wednesday... awesome-ness. I really didn't know what to expect, and the US audio commentary was a bit of a drag, except for the VAs of Lust and Shou Tucker lol they rock XD Probs more ranting on this later :/

And... this past week I felt really loved and appreciated, just because of little things some nice people did this week. :') Like, random talking, saying thanks and hugs... it's all awesome. But that's strange because I haven't really been at all hug-gy lately. Guh. So don't just come up and hug me tomorrow, anyone. Otherwise I might shoot you. I hug with reason.

And yeah, the flood of comments on this one journal is really making me consider a new journal. *sigh* D:

Yo...

School's been back for about one and a half weeks now. D:
Already we (well, I) have like, 3-4 assignments (english, science, photography, australian history) and the science one is already due in about 2-3 weeks. x_x ... and need ideas for English project. Maybe you guys can help me XDD It's a media project, where we have to watch a current issue being presented in the media in different mediums (tv, magazines, newspapers, internet, radio etc.) and currently don't have a very good idea of what to do. I thought about doing Kate Middleton (Prince William's gf) since she's been in the media so much lately, and with the flare up with the possibility of her getting engaged/married, but it just seems like such a shallow idea compared to everyone else's (like, global warming, 10 billion dollar desalination plan, drought, blah) but it is different. I am so confused.

But yeah, I didn't mean to rant on about that. |:
Well... at the beginning of every school year, we have this thing called the "House Choir Competition", where we get into our houses and prepare a hymn and a contemporary song to perform in front of the whole school, the contemp. song complying with a theme (this year's being "Home Grown"). My house is singing "Tenterfield Saddler" by Peter Allen... XD If you remember a past journal, or saw me raving about it, the musical Boy From Oz is about Peter Allen's life and his music X3 He came up with the songs "I Still Call Australia Home" (the one the Qantas kids sing haha) and (when my baby, when my baby smiles me) "I Go To Rio" : D Well, yeah... I guess I might fill you in on what I got for X'mas, although it's so late haha

- Pretty beach towel
- $50 from mum (which I spent on getting the 3rd Fullmetal Alchemist DVD Collector's Tin... which I now regret because now I want to buy manga and have no monies DDX )
- Nice shampoo and conditioner :3
- Lots of manga (Fullmetal Alchemist Volumes 8-10, Loveless Vol3, Only the Ring Finger Knows, Kamichama Karin Vol5...) from dad (to share with sister)
- $102 worth of embroidery on my school blazer for pockets (also known as colours...) from my paternal grandma
- $1000 from my maternal grandma which I don't get to touch until I'm like, 18 hahahaha -gripes-

And hence my internet being slow, I've been working on a new layout for my collective, The Sana-Chan Collection. It's blue and has Ritsuka X333 It took so long to get the positioning right, though, because I didn't want strange distortion on different resolutions, but I figured belatedly that you can actually do DIV positioning from the right, instead of using a left figure! XO *slow-genius!* Well, I'll probably either post it up as a deviation or update my journal here when I get it up

Hmm... I've actually gotten back into forums, about last week I think, I joined the Intercross Scanlation Group forum. I've applied as a translator but I really don't know how I'll cope since I'm such a bad procrastinator (don't let that contradict itself ) and my Japanese really isn't at all advanced. *dies*
And I've kind of made a comeback at the Otherworld (Squall.nu) forums too, which I'm super mod at. If you like Final Fantasy, go there, join and chat about it (although it's a bit dead haha). I'm Rinoa_H there, don't be scared to say hi, although it keeps on getting invaded by p0rn bots xD; Even if you don't want to talk to anyone about it, but still like FF, go to Rinoa's Final Fantasy - my friend's FF fandom site It's awesome (btw, if you're a true fan, you'd know about it already ;D lol)

Random things...
Yesterday at my aunty's (the one who made the awesome chicken curry haha) I tried aloe vera juice for the first time... it's awesome! XD (I use that word too much xD; ) The pulpy bits are interesting, and the brand I tried tasted like Japanese grape/muscat lolly XD If anyone's tried it before, does your's taste kind of similar (if you know what I mean by a Jap grap lolly? lol. lol lolly hahahaha)? And I don't know how it's meant to be good for you - aloe vera's meant to be used externally on your body, and I don't know how cleansing it would really be on your insides o_O Or good for you, anyway... perhaps extra vitamin e? :/
And we (being me, my sis n mum) borrowed a dvd from my aunty called "Hands In the Hair", this foreign Chinese film.
It is. SO. SO. WEIRD!!!
Practically all the other Chinese movies that I've watched (being only "HERO" and "House of Flying Daggers" hahahaha) I've absolutely loved, but this movie was blunt as hell and seemed to assume too much from its audience. I have to make this greeting early as tomorrow morning we're leaving for the city and staying the night down there so we don't have to tough it down the roads on New Year's Eve! Staying down in the city is awesome for New Year's, watching the fireworks And the motif of the harbourbridge this year is a coathanger... lol XD Last year's was ghey. strange... disco ball... thing...

Anyway, exams were a few weeks ago, and I seemed to do okay although I didn't study nearly as much as I would have liked or could have :/

Marks...

English: 25/30 (That's okay... it was split into two sections, film study and poetry analysis, and I got 12 and 13 out of 15 for each... some girls got full marks for a section, though DX )
Science: 46/65 (I hated that test, I could've done so much better if we actually WENT OVER THE STUFF THAT WAS IN THE TEST IN CLASS INSTEAD OF DOING EXTENSION...)
Maths: 68/90 (Whoo... XD That's pretty good considering that my past average was like, 65%... 7-8% improvement!! XDD)
Christian Studies: 59.5/75
Australian Geography: 19/25... ugh it was a gay test DX
Health: ... can't remember right now, but I think it was okay, not brilliant :/
Japanese: 94/100 for the written/listening/reading, 24/25 and 12/15 for speaking
Visual Arts: 58.5/70 (I hate art exams, the questions they ask are always so specific... but I got full marks for the two 10 mark questions And I also found I got 20/20 for my lino..!!! I will scan ASAP! XD )
Photography and Digital Media: 53/70 (MORE SPECIFIC STUFF DX But I managed to spell the name of the dude who made the first known photograph correctly (Niepce) xD; I FORGOT WHAT THE ENLARGER WAS CALLED AND CALLED IT THE "EXPOSER" DDDDX )

Oh-well, hopefully I should be better prepared for next year... this year, everyone had already started studying in the holidays, like, 5 weeks before exams! x_x I only really started studying the day before my first one... :/ *sigh*

And if anyone reads my lists carefully or whatever (lol) I had my scholarship application to do (which I got done lol) and I got through the first round of applications to the interview stage, which I attended maybe 2-3 weeks ago... the interview was okay, but I was quite nervous since it was my first interview, and I think I rambled DX So about two weeks after that I got an email saying I hadn't progressed through to the next round of interviews... but oh-well.
The scholarship was for contribution to the middle school (years/grades 7-9) through extra-curricular activities, leadership and... stuff. lol. It was for the first term of next year, Year 10, and you get your name on one of those board things... XD I would've liked to get it so we could save a bit of money so my sister () would have a better chance of come on this music tour our youth orchestra's holding in 2008... but hopefully she'll still be able to come along
I just can't help thinking about how the other girls who went further than me got there... as far as I know, I do the most extra-curricular activities in my year and don't do that badly academically. But I guess because some people do less they can concentrate better and do better too... the scholarship was based mainly on contribution, but also has to be based on academic merit, so... *sigh*
Those girls who got further than me must've just presented so much better than me... I'm not going to mention names, but as far as I know, I contribute so much more to the school than they ever will and I know I do better than them in a few core subjects... *sigh*
I do so much around the school, it's not funny...
In music, I'm in the symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, choir, youth orchestra and am leader of the (MIDDLE SCHOOL) string ensemble. I also do group musicianship lessons with other girls around the school.
In sport, I've been doing cricket since Year 5 and soccer since Year 7. I've also been doing swimming since Year 2. I also represent the school in the ski team and once in a hockey team.

And for letting me know that Vic was coming to Sydney!!! If you didn't let me know I probably wouldn't have been so prepared...

VIC IS SO COOL! XD I was actually going to be going to Supanova (the con that he was at on Friday night, yesterday and today) but it all got very confusing with my cricket game all the way out 120km away and our house being inspected for sale and everything D:

:'D He's such a cool guy... we actually are going to Queensland next year (one of the Aussie states next to NSW, our's) but I'm not sure if we'll be dropping by Brisbane... I know we might be going to the Great Barrier Reef, though, so if we do actually pass by Brisbane I really do hope it's at the right time and that we won't be too busy So yeah... and I checked out his site later yesterday and found he hasn't actually got the con visit list up yet so I'm probably one of few who know that he's going to Brisbane... :0 But now that you've read this... haha!

On to more boring things, I am particularly proud of my cricket playing from yesterday :'D While fielding I managed to block two boundaries, one with just my hand :') My bowling wasn't so great though... it was freaking cold, felt like things might start freezing D: I think because it was so freaking cold that my bowling was crap... I was letting go of the ball too early so the ball went flying up and didn't even go down half of the pitch... It was so embarassing... Cricket is summer sport, pooey! But what was ultra awesome was my batting (well, compared to how I've done before) - I managed to stay in the game from the first to the second last over And I scored 23 runs by myself, which was two runs off retiring (in our rules) :] Would've been awesome if I had to retire, though haha xD

I'm in Japan right now which you all should know... xD;
So far we've been to Tokyo, Hokodate, Toya and right now we're in Sapporo Tomorrow morning we leave for Asagikawa (I think that's it), and then back to Tokyo before we come back (I really want to come home, I've been missing it ever since just getting to Sydney airport!!!!!!)

Tokyo... was interesting, we went to Shibuya the morning after we arrived and went for a bit of shopping but didn't get any clothes because they were all either extremely eccentric or... exotic... we went to Shibuya 109, which is one of the main shopping malls and it was HUGE... and inside and right outside there were tons of people just standing around smoking wearing all the latest trendy clothes x_x Me, my sister and dad looked extremely out of place... we look out of place everywhere over here anyway, but especially in Shibuya, anyway.
We spent 2 nights in Tokyo at the Palace Hotel which is right on the moat of the palace... thing... in Tokyo. Which was pretty cool.

Hokodate was a hole, I'm sorry to say. It's meant to be famous for its seafood but I really couldn't figure out what was so fantastic about it, but I guess maybe it's good compared to the rest of Japan and probably not Australia
We had to stay in a crappy place because everywhere else was completely booked out D: But oh-well. Spent 2 nights there.

At (Lake) Toya, we went up some volcanoes (which was quite painful, there were so many stairs DX Like, at least 2km of them x_x ) which was... kind of cool... and then back at our hotel there were public baths XD My sister and I said we didn't mind going to the public baths, but dad decided to book a private one xD
We stayed in a hotel which needed us to sleep on the floor on futons... XD It was only for one night, and it was a bit weird, but was pretty comfortable, surprisingly.

And now in Sapporo... we caught the train to Otaru, which is apparently famous for its sushi, which, as was the same for Hokodate, didn't seem all that fantastic... but yeah. There were lots of glasshouses, and there was one place that you could make your one vase or glass thing... we were thinking of trying it but decided not to because if anything happened we wouldn't be able to speak the language x_x
And all day and the afternoon before it's been raining pouring and the wind's been way strong... today we broke two umbrellas as a result x_x And it's been pretty cold too... compared to back home anyway - 10-14 degrees celsius. And then all the malls are boiling hot, so when we get inside we have to peel off our jackets and everything, and then get ready to go outside again..! Kinda annoying :/
And in our hotel (the ANA Sapporo), there's a Pokemon Centre LITERALLY. IT IS SO COOL. Throughout the whole hotel there's Pikachu everywhere!! At the restaurant where we have breakfast, they have special Pokemon meals, desserts and drinks for kids... it's too bad we don't know how to order them though ;( And whether we can order them at breakfast... but anyway, about the centre, there's like, Pikachu (and Pokemon) EVERYTHING... there's the normal merchandise like plushies and figurines, but as well as that, they sell Pokemon ramen, biscuits, stationery, lollies, eating sets... I'm sure there was something else I missed out, but yeah. You get the point... there's also this way awesome new Pokemon game (well, two versions of the same game, like silver and gold) for Nintendo DS which we got to try out... it was all in Jap though, which was interesting XD But I figured out the attacks Leech Seed, Petal Dance and Bonemerang... xD; It was tres cool, it's like in 3D, and it was the first time I've ever actually touched a DS... now I get all the "Touch me down there" jokes xDDD; BUT TAPPING IT WAS SO COOL... LIKE, IT WAS A POKEMON GAME THAT YOU COULD TOUCH!! XDD

There's a whole ton of other stuff that I have to write about, like the food and customs... and stuff... but I should go to sleep because we have to get up pretty early so we can pack and catch our train.

So I hope you've all been having an awesome holiday... possibly going to the beach... (>: () and stuff, but oh-well. DX

Just officially 6 hours ago, we got out of school into our school holidays!! :'D Our holidays are going for about two weeks, and for 13 nights we're going to Japan..!! This is an interesting situation, as we're coming back only two days before school starts again and my sister and I have ten gazillion assignments to do before school starts again... but... oh-well. And I really do want to stay home and just hang out with friends. Although I would really love to go to Japan, I just want to... chill. I haven't had time to just relax for such a long time. I love staying home and just bumming around, or going to the city...

Which reminds me, as a result of this trip I can't go to Animania this year because of complications ;( I will be going to Supanova later in October, however, because Vic Mignogna is a definitely confirmed guest..!!!!!! I am very excited.

But yeah, back to my whining. I've been nagging at dad since mid-last year when we came back from America that it's always the Spring break that teachers load homework on us, and it's... ARGH. Okay. Enough pooey-ing around.

KH2 CAME OUT TODAY!! I got the Square-Enix email and am quite excited XD But I thought it came out on Saturday the 23rd, but oh-well. Lol! That day I was out ice-skating with friends anyway xDD; And on Sunday I'm going to the movies! Yay : D And might be doing stuff tomorrow... depends... Holidays are so great :'D

... I meant to update this ages ago, but I should sleep. Have a chem test tomorrow. And meetings. And stupid things. Except for youth orchestra. YAY. But I've been so tried and dead-ish ever since after camp last week. x_x ... you try mountain biking, canoeing and hiking (mostly uphill) 55km in 4 days when you haven't been active all year. o_________o

Oh yeah, today's my friend's and my mummy's b'days, as well as my school rev's XDD Every year he turns 32... LOL

For those extremely behind the times, I got an A for my 7th grade violin exam! I was so shocked when I found out, since my scales were so horrible... but I guess my pieces made up for it ^_^; If my teacher told me I got an A+, I seriously would've fainted. @@

And the first time I ever tried out for it was last year... D: It isn't fair. I'm no good at hurdles DDDX And then I moved up two lanes from last year! I'M SO UNFIT IT'S NOT FUNNY. I HAVEN'T EXCERCISED IN LIKE... 3-4 MONTHS.
Thank goodness I'm playing soccer again now. Yay.

And on May 27th I have my 7th grade violin exam........... DX If I pass (IF), I'll just one more grade to go and then diplomas! X'D Yeah, I'm an overachiever hahahaha But I can do it. Once I pass freaking Musicianship. ARGH.

And next week I get to go on camp with the dudes doing the musical XDD That'll be fun. Except they'll be boys EVERYWHERE. For two whole nights and days! x_x I don't know if I'll be able to cope. I'll so seriously be hugged out by the end of it. Ugh.

Hahahaha, I just found out that my letters for , and 's fanletter writing competition finally arrived XDD Umm, yeah, I just felt like randomly letting you guys know hahahaha And did any of you guys enter the contest too? O:
I'm listed here!! XDDD And yeah, I wrote a fanletter to Edo from FMA and a very... *cough* letter to Naruto from Sasuke XDDDD

Today I met up with , , and in the city!!! (I actually still am in the city - I'm at the Customs House Library haha )
We went to Kinokuniya and browsed around a lot... I got Gravitation volumes 3, 6 and 7, while my sister got FMA volume 6, Pita-ten volume 1 and Kamichama Karin volume 3
We were also looking at this bootleg anime dvd store, and they had a DNAngel DVD poster out the front, and I was like "ZOMGDNANGELPOSTERRRRR", so I asked the dude in the store, but he said he'd only be able to give me a poster if they had a spare one D: Oh-well. He seemed nice anyway. *sigh*
But this really made me realise how much more I should get out of the house and meet up with friends in the holidays... *sigh* :'D Not that I don't get out of the house, I get out of the house practically everyday! But I don't meet up with friends :/

Well, as the title of this journal suggests, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!

Yeah, this is kinda belated, but I'd just like to wish all you dudes out there a Merry Christmas, whether you be a watcher, friend or random person who came across my page by accident. ^___^

I think I've been finding that as each Christmas goes by, although I want more and more things, I've found that recieving some of the simplest things have made me happier than what others would've.

Step 1.

EXAMS ARE OVER XDDDDDDDDDDD
And since we aren't allowed to get homework during the assessment period, I ish free besides music-ness And maths... argh, our teacher gave us homework anyways
I have two music performances of sorts over the next few days - tomorrow, I'm performing 'Prelude I' by George Gershwin on the piano in front of the whole middle school (450 people, and I haven't done a solo like this since junior school DX ) and on Sunday I'm performing violin for my teacher's concert But it's so damn hot I can't practice... and then I have a violin lesson and youth orchestra rehearsal after school this arvo -______- Going to be around all the sweaty stinky guys... <_< Oh-well. I just won't hug any of them today

Urm... And I've been getting some of my exam results back already. I'm pretty happy with them 8D I got full marks in Japanese, 52/63 for science (85% ... XD) which was in the top 5% of the year and got the top mark for Christian Studies in my class (56/60) Heh, and my D&T sucked (for a change... o_o" finally) and so did French (ZOMG WEWT 65%! YAS I RAWK! XDDD).
And getting back geography tomorrow, maths and visual arts on monday and other sturf when the teachers can be bothered
I think I might even have a chance of getting a prize at Speech Day this year 8DD But I feel I slacked off more this year than other years... ._." Neh. Wheeee.

Oh yeah. My dad's coming back from Hong Kong soon, and he's gotten me a graphics tablet !!! It's a Wacom Graphire 3 with active area in A6 size I ish excited And maybe you can start expecting me to be more efficient and busy in my art o.O
And I finally updated my collective, the Sana-chan Collection last Saturday... and the day after I got offered for hosting! So my new address ish @ [link] ... or you could always have clicked the button at the top of my general profile, but anyway
And I found that after I was showing it to my friends on Monday, the school internet security software, 'Webmarshal', had blocked my site and squall.nu because it said that it thought they were breaches of the school AUP XDDD Heh, probably because I mentioned words including 'shounen', 'ai' and 'ass' XDD

OMG LOL my friend just saw the title of the journal entry and all the others she was like... "What's with all the ness-ness?" But anyway. Yeah. I'm at school. In Visual Arts. Wewt-ness~ (muwahaha, yes, another 'ness' Laura! )

Neways, I got tagged by X33 Here are my thingys... (it's just twenty random things about me, right? o.O)

1. I am only in Year 8 at school, although some people mistook me as a 16 year old when I was only 11. [EDIT: I meant that people mistook me as a 16 year old... XDD; lolz, sorry for the misunderstanding ]

2. I am currently up to grade 7 violin and grade 8 piano...

3. Next year I'll be starting to work on my AMus piano, also known as the (I think) Amateur diploma in music. If you're freaked about that, a girl in Year 9 got her's in Year 6. That freaked me out.

4. I play soccer, cricket and used to play hockey until my sister took up netball T_T I also do swimming and some athletics (it was only this year that I discovered that I was any good at hurdles <_<") And I'm also on the school ski team

5. I'm in my school's orchestra, wind ensemble, string ensemble, middle school choir, combined choir and used to be in the chamber choir...

6. ... but got kicked out because my voice is still too young and it stuck out from the 16-17 year old voices. T_T

7. I like singing.

8. And drawing, obviously.

How're you all? Hope you're doing better than me, I'm so tired x______x Didn't help that yesterday was first day of school back x_X
Oh-well, I've kinda neglected to inform you all about my trip to the USA... X3! And about Animania, of course
I'll start with the USA X3
We actually only stayed in California... in the first week of the holidays, we just mainly spent it in Anaheim (Disneyland central XD), San Diego and Los Angeles city
We went to Disneyland (where I played the piano where I had an audience! omg), Universal Studios (wah, the revenge of the mummy ride was scary! XDD) and Seaworld (where we gots soaked on the rides v. funfun XD).
Then in the second week, we spent our stay in San Francisco at my aunty and uncle's place in San Carlos But it made me feel that I should really appreciate Sydney... everything's so much closer together! x_X Like, from my aunty's place, which is just in the suburbs, it takes them (omg) 20+ minutes just to get to the supermarket! x_________X; And then, there's all these long car trips involved in order to get from each city to another (all the cities are somewhat to eachother... not like here in Australia o.o)
The only things that made me not enjoy this trip as much as I could have was that i had to
(a) Spend it all with my six year old cousin who never shuts up and never stops bouncing! X_X In the car trip back from Seaworld (which was, btw, 2 hours) he'd keep on singing on purpose so that my sister and I couldn't sleep... and it was 10pm already! x_x and it had been a big day... *sigh* And then he started ranting about how he hated singing. How ironic. And
(b) I didn't get to spend it with my muuuuum DDDDDX I would've loved to go to America with my mum, since she hadn't ever been to the US either *sigh* But she needed to have an operation But thank goodness that it went okay :3

I actually have to go to class now (yey, this is my lunch break at school XD; ) so I'll try and update with stuff on Animania (which is getting old >_< ) tonight so you all can, er, do... stuff. Like, read it. Or whatever it is you want to do with this journal entry of mine. o_____O;

Whewt. Finally get around to finishing this entry... lol XD;
Haha, well the day after we got back from America (we got back at 6am TT____TT") was Animania!

Although I would have liked to get more stuff (dude, the Madman DVDs were like 15% off or something! T_T) this is what I got:

- zomg FREE SHOWBAG (because I pre-registered thingy XD; )
- 4 prints from ~kimiko (A4 Dark and Krad, Mikaeru P/C, Sasuke P/C and Original Bookmark X3333 Dark and Krad are stuck together in my school locker along with Sasuke and Mikaeru And the bookmark is in my volume 8 of DNAngel... ^_^)
- DNAngel Volume 3 DVD

I wish I hadn't spent all my money on Yu-Gi-Oh cards a few months prior to this T_T"
Also, I was a bit stumped over which DVD thing to get... my dad had given me a choice between DNAngel or the FMA tin (with 1st DVD and OST) T_T I said I really wanted to see what happened next in DNAngel, but now I kind of regret it... it could have waited. And man, the FMA tin was PURDY. I SO wish I had the ability to kick myself DX I guess I'll have to hope I can get it for X'mas T_T

But oh-well. The cosplaying was AWESOME! XD There was a dude dressed up Sasuke from Naruto hehe, and he had the shuriken holster and everything! O_O *drool* And then there was a Vincent and Sephiroth's mum from FFVII... their skit was so frickin' awesome XDD And then there was Riku! OMG DROOL. And I had to agree with the girl who was cosplaying as him, HE IS HAWT. I WANT TO COSPLAY AS HIM SOMETIME. DUDE.

But anyway, it turns out I still have till the end of term (three weeks, three 80 minute lessons... XD) to finish my art bag, which is really very good o.o Because I still have to paint all over the background because some clumsy people smudged pink and green paint on some parts of it DX
At the moment, the bag is featuring Shusuke - Look Towards the Sun, by ~kimiko on its own side of the bag (X3), and on the other side, a Chocobo and a Moomba from Final Fantasy VIII, that drawing I did of Riku Harada from DNAngel, and a picture of Daisuke Niwa, also from DNAngel Also, there's the DNAngel and Final Fantasy logos X3 But please note that I traced all of these onto the bag... I did not actually draw-draw them I wish I did though
*sigh* But neways. I traced them all on in permanent marker and in yesterday's lesson I got a real headache from breathing in all the Sharpie marker fumes x_X;
But neway, the bag is looking pretty okay so far, which I'm happy with X3

Also, I've started work on a drawing of Daisuke! X333!!! But quite a lot lately I haven't been able to come up with anything original, so i had to copy it But note that it's not traced Mmm... I'll be sure to scan it and upload it when it's finished

I'd just like to make a quick note before I go to bed to say thank you so much for the 300 hits!
I really appreciate all your comments and everything, and I know I'm definitely going to be staying at DeviantART for a looong time

For those wondering what I've been up to lately though (on the art-ish side of things) I've been working on this bag in Visual Arts at school
We had to choose a culture and on one side of the bag, show anything we like to do with that culture, and on the other side, to show the artwork of an artist from that culture X3 Since it appeared no one else was doing it, and because I love it so much, I chose to do 'Japanese Manga Art Culture'... I wasn't too sure about the name of the culture though, but for those who know what I mean and maybe know someway that I can put that better, please tell me
But anyway, I'll be scanning my bag onto the computer so you can all have a look! And for those going to Animania on Sunday, you can come and see the real thing X3 Coz I'll be there

For those who have seen the Riku picture and actually care about what I'm doing to it, I'm trying inking for the first time... I started inking it on Friday arvo and then... the felt-tip pen SPLIT.

On August 7th, DA turns five years old. Five years for a website like this should be a grand affair, one big event.

So don't submit anything on August 7th.

I'm talking a print, a deviation, a scrap...nothing.

Instead, just leave a comment. Visit a user's page and just say hi.

If someone wants to buy a subscription that day, I'm all in favor or it. It'll keep the servers going, and anything that keeps the hamster running is a good thing.

BUT...I think folks shouldn't buy any prints. No print subscriptions. That goes against the COMMUNITY theme for the day.

We want to put the COMMUNITY back into DA.



Since I've only been on dA for just over a month, I think this idea is great, since it means not only will I get to meet lots of new, great, talented artists out there, but a lot of other people out there will, too.

But something to contradict that last sentence. As you stalkers may have noticed, I STILL haven't put up my calligraphy! My only available, good and working scanner's at my dad's, where I posted my last entry at... but although I thought I would be able to find the time to scan them, we seemed to have all these other things to do which pretty much killed any chance of me having some nice quiet time at the computer -__-
But now, something on a different note, although it pretty much adds more salt to the already deep wound of not having much in my gallery on for show at the moment BUT ANYWAY I'm going down to the snow for 10 days, starting tomorrow! X33 Like, Perisher Valley. But we call it the snow anyway. BUT ANYWAY! (that' the second time already) We're coming back on the 11th of July for those who can't do addition, and for you in Britain and America and all those other on-the-other-side-of-the-world-countries, the 10th ^^ And then the day after we come back is my birthday! *hinthint* j/k xD And then that weekend I'm going back to my dad's and God willing, I'll find some time to scan my stuff-ness finally! And another random thing, Kimi-san, I'm not sure whether I'll get to go to Animania DX We're only getting back from America like, a day before the first day and then there's jetlag and everything I can always try and make it on the Sunday though and check out whatever it is you have left *sigh* Otherwise we can always try and arrange something ^^
Which reminds me, I got the 2nd DNAngel DVD the other day! X33333 I don't think the episodes were as good as the first DVD's ones though, but for crying out loud it's a TV show T.T; And the commentary isn't as good either... and then FG THERE WAS NO HIWATARI!!! Which kind of killed me making myself ask why I had bought it, but I got the collector's box with Vol.1, so heck, I have to get every volume. But besides that and if it weren't for Dai-kun, sexay Dark and Wiz's hilariously cute antics I would seriously demand a refund -_- *sigh* But oh-well. I guess I'll get over it someday when I've completed my collection.
And I got Vol.8 of the english manga X3 But there weren't any special bits at the back of the book which was a bummer but I really wanted to know what happened to Daisuke >.< AND I would have gotten all the other volumes, but Kino was sold out of everything except for Vol.8 I'll have to go there again after my snow trip cuz they said they were going to have another ship-in this weekend

Yes, you're probably wondering, 'Geez, if you've got time to write and post this entry up, sure you can upload them so I/we can loooooooooook....' but it's getting late, I've got a violin lesson early in the morning, I'm sick so I need my rest, AND I need me time so I can read some good-quality YGO yaoi fanfiction.

But anyway. The calligraphy-ness includes some of my practice scraps and the finished products. I might put both in the scraps though, because I'll probs put all the characters together in one thing and edit it in PSP to make the brushstrokes all nice and... nice o.O
Which reminds me, I got my school report in the mail today! And for my Visual Arts I think (I can't be bothered to get up and check) I got 86 out of 100, while the median (middle mark) was like, seventy-something. But the big thing was that my art teacher, let us call her Miss A-S, said in the comment that my painting skills are advanced! We had to do a portrait of an Australian person dude who we thought deserved to have a portrait of them done, and I did my Yr12 friends Helen... she's a prefect *gasp* XD And all the portraits are being entered into this competition just in the grade... but anyway, I gotta go! Hmm, for those who've been watching me, thank you, but as you might have noticed, I don't currently have anything to show! xD I've realised that a lot of the artists here are GODS and deserve worship so I've just been commenting xD;

For those who may know me, I'm into a lot of pencil art and web graphic-y kind of things, but as of late I haven't been drawing much *sniff*.
