It was a brilliantly relaxing few weeks, which did me the world of good.
Saw some beautiful sights, met some brilliant people, made it back in time to start university late!
It made sense to come back and get my final year of university done, and I'm really enjoying university life right now.
But I think it's all kind of accumulated in to a healthy inspiration for art again.
Hopefully the inspiration will keep coming, and I'll be able to try and get back to some kind of regular art upload schedule.

A massive thanks to everyone who left good wishes in the last blog. You guys are the reason I enjoyed doing this stuff in the first place.
And another almost as big thanks to who bought me a subscription.

Me and three friends are backpacking across New Zealand.
And we're going to be gone for a good few months, so I honestly have no idea when I'll be able to access a computer.
I'll see how I feel after I get back, but at this moment in time.
I don't know, I just really don't enjoy doing this kind of art anymore.
It was fun while it lasted, but I just wan't to move away from at.
At least for a while.

Which for me is a really massive shame, since I really enjoyed doing the little of it that I've done, and had a lot more story to tell.
I've got 40 pages of it sketched up, but I just don't have to resolve, willpower, or time to continue doing it.
I've been suffering a lot from depression recently, partially caused by a really bad breakup for me, and a large amount of stress coming in from other factors.
I really hate having to drop this, but I'm just not in a fit state to do it.
I'll be going back to doing the occasional TG or TF comic.
Which will see the resurrection of a friendly face (and shiny metallic surface), and maybe occasional visits from 2 new ones that you've recently seen, probably just in the background of a shot or two.
Again.. I'm really, really sorry about this.
Hope you can deal with just the occasional comic and commission comic from me :/

Really loving the way this comic is coming a long, we've got TG's, super soakers, high school romances, people getting tied up, spades, the whole ham!
When I say the whole ham, I mean that as in "Got everything", there isn't actually any ham involved.
But yeah, I think you guys should really enjoy it
I'll be posting the prelude and the opening page together, so I'll have to vector the first 3 pages before I can upload anything.
After that, we'll be updating on a weekly basis. Depending how it goes, I may look for another vector artist, so we can get pages done at twice the rate, might be nice to have someone else to spin ideas off of.
This doesn't mean anyone who can remotely use Illustrator jump up and say "I'LL DO IT, I WANT TO, YEAH, ME!!!", it means I'll look for someone appropriate if/when the time comes.

Just to give you guys an idea of what it's going to be about, here's the blurb for chapter 1.

"A new town, a new house, a new college, new friends, a new start.

It's all change when Jake and Ryan move to Transville, and start attending Tiresia High school.

From the moment they move in, things are peculiar, as they find a glowing piece of machinery in the center of their living room. But this is only the start.

After meeting Becky, the year representative, things take a turn from odd, to bizarre.

The students are becoming vacant, Becky goes through a major change, and everyone seems to be going mad for the new "Babe by Lilah Madison"

It'll take a few adjustments for the guys to find out what's causing the weirdness in Transville, and it's only week one so far."

A story arc.
The beginning of this tale may be considered controversial, not in any explicit kind of way, but there's a big change taking place that'll lead to a comic, currently titled,
bioswitchLOGICAL
A character will be lost, and a new one will arise, leading to that characters story.
A lot of work will be going in to this over the next few months if possible, and I hope you'll all like it.
I'll keep you posted on how it's going.

Ok, fair enough, plug in the charger and no charge lights coming on, and no power is going to the Macbook... Ok, fine, problematic, but not unsolvable since I've got two years warranty, and I can just claim another one, right? Wrong.
Turns out that a charger isn't part of a Macbook, and you in turn aren't covered.
So, I've spent the last few days, waiting to receive the new charger which came yesterday.
Robbing me of £58, or to my friends across the sea $88.16 for a charger -_-
SO, I only got the charger yesterday, meaning I'm behind on commissions I was working on, don't worry, I WILL get to the 350,000 comic, but the commissioners who have paid so far are taking first priority right now, then I'll do the comic, and then I'll get on to anyone who's currently interested in commissions (don't worry, haven't forgotten about you )
Also something you might be interested in, as payment for the current commission I'm doing for vicious vic , I'm getting a commission done by an artist you might have heard of called Kittyhawk (you can see her work at vics page, and at [link])
So yeah, expect to see the both soon enough.

The main reason behind this, is a major lack of time that I currently have, university and a part time job take up a good 80% of my time, and I like using that other 20% to just chill out.
But from time to time, I will take a commission.
In basis, I'll treat commissions in the same way most artists take requests.
I will consider it if i a) enjoy the subject matter, and b) have the time to do the commission.
To some people the pricing may seem steep, but the main reason for this is the amount of time that vector work takes.

I mainly accept paypal, but I also accept ordered goods.
Some people aren't happy paying via paypal, which is why at times I'll offer the option of them instead ordering something that I might want e.g. a videogame, that comes to the same, or similar price as their commission which I'll have delivered to me as payment.
This is rare, but if there is something I want that matches the payment, I'll mention it.
You never know, it may result in you getting a small commission discount.

Like I said though, the commissions I take will be at my own discretion.
I wish there was another way of doing it, but right now I can only take what I can when I can (although it tends to sway the balance a little if it's a subject that I like )

I'm also currently in a ridiculous amount of pain, since I'm being told I have to eat rough foods to continuously scrape the scar tissue from the back of my throat, which seems to be getting progressively more painful.
I've also been told, that the pain's only going to get worse up until Saturday.
So yes, I am high as a bloody kite...
I'm working on something (or at least trying to with nausea, and blurred vision) a story that'd come in weekly chapters, hopefully with at least 1 piece of artwork for each chapter.
But yeah, I'll let you know more about that when all the details are fleshed out.

I've lost weight, putting me down to 9.3 stone (130.2 pounds) with a height of 6ft 2" because it's currently so horrific to swallow, it's hitting my gag reflex, meaning I'm not getting much food down..
This is something a lot of people might have noticed from recent blog posts, I never seem to be eating anything. And that's just down to how discomfort it's been giving me.
This Saturday I'll be having them removed.
Which is definitely a god send right now, but I'm going to be exhausted, and suffering quite a bit for the next few weeks..
This is going to slow things down, to a dead pace.
And I'm sorry about that, but there's nothing I can physically do about it...

This wont be news to most people, but me being a little slow on freeware games, have just started playing it, and it really is. Amazing.
It's Metroid, Castlevania, 8bit glory with cutesy graphics, and a charming narrative, that really should make this one of the greatest games of our times.
It honestly looks like a lost relic from the nes era, that never made it to foreign shores.
If you get the chance, seriously either download the free version, or get the wiiware update if you prefer higher resolution and updated sprites.
I'd recommend this to any gamer, hardcore or laid back alike.

Another pressing thing, is that I might have to take a sabbatical, how long it will extend I don't know from TG art.
The main reason for this is, I've been with my girlfriend for almost a year now, and it's becoming ever harder to find time to get away to do artwork.
And at the end of the day, when it comes to which one to sacrifice, I will sacrifice artwork every time, since I really, really love her.
I'd try explaining this to her, but I really don't think she'd understand, hell, I don't even understand for the most part.
But this is a clear statement, I'm not leaving forever, and I will attempt to make regular updates, just don't question if there's a good, long time between posts.
But anyway, let me know what you think about the written work with a few images?

What have I been up to recently.. Well, waiting to get all my stuff back, which mainly consists of playing on my DS which was (thank god) left at my friends house by accident.
So yes, none of the precious Pokemon were lost, I got my Wii back, not the same Wii, and of course with none of the save files, so yeah, there go my Resident Evil 4 time records, and everything I'd done in Legend of Zelda.. I was a heart piece away from having them all ; (
But life must go on.
The criminals still haven't been caught, although one item of mine was apparently found on ebay being sold through a fake account, the item was pulled from ebay, but the address the ebay user was providing was fake, so no links there.
The police are looking further into it, yet I doubt anything will come from it.
Bet they set that account up from my own bloody laptop -_-
Anyway, feels good to be back.

I currently feel completely violated, since I came back from a night out to find the door on it's hinges, and the house nearly completely trashed.
A good amount of money was also taken, meaning I can't even afford to get another mac and scanner, and then re-claim it from the insurance.

It all kind of came around after a post made by about a lack of emotion in my characters, and he was right, mainly because it's hard to show emotion in the style I was working with.
Up until about 2 weeks ago, I was so fed up with not getting any further with the style I was using, I was at the point where I was seriously thinking about giving up on this kind of art, and closing the account.
But yeah, kind of glad I didn't, since I think I'm going in the right direction now.
But anyway, let me know what you think.

Well, it'll be my 19th birthday on Tuesday, and I have to wait till then until I crack open my fresh new copy of Smash Bros Brawl -_- It's sitting there in the corner, gift wrapped and mocking me, so I'm trying to keep busy with artwork to stop myself cracking it open.
I've also discovered the amazing game that is The World Ends With You, and I'm currently having seizures trying to beat the final boss, so I'm leveling up to no end.

Yes, I am a Final Fantasy VII whore (as much as it may kill some of you to here), since it was the first game I ever had on the Playstation, and I loved it.
Also considering getting Smash Bros. Brawl, and you know what, I probably will get it since it's an epic game, but there's still the one thing I bloody hate about Smash Bros games, and that's the view.
When the battlefield is zoomed out so, you can't tell which angry looking dot you are, and that annoys me to no end, that and when you're in a bundle of close combat, and it's also hard to tell which manically slashing ball of pixels you are.
But yes, if anyone has any suggestions, it'd be good to hear ^ ^
