When I started taking photos five years ago, this place was instrumental in my growth. It seems inert, now. When I started taking photos, I relied on the encouragement and advice of people like Steve to help me grow as an artist, and there seems to be no place for any of that anymore. People simply add images to their favourites without offering any commentary. I'm by no means damning the appreciation of art, but that's not what I came here for. To simply upload your art for the sake of praise and adoration is a vain, silly pursuit. I want to interact. I want to discuss. I want to make things with you, not just force things on you.
