Now, I beat the game last night finally after my sickness subsided enough for me to be able to focus for long enough to play it all the way though...I have been excited about this game ever since the very first trailer was shown, waaaaay back before I had my xbox...


And I have to say, the game wasn't too bad.

I think people are getting far too worked up over some minor aspects of the game. But when I look back...I could see why they did. The game is no longer the survival horror that I have always known and loved. It no longer gives the air of tension that I would always get whilst limping through the ever quiet RPD police station looking for ink ribbons...Praying that there was no zombies behind the next corner to take another hunk out of my ass.

I will always love the older games, fuck I have loved every game that has been spawned from this series with the exception of gaiden. (sucked huge monkey balls)

Blah, now I'm rambling. Onwards!! Towards the review!

Game play: I thought it was a little weird at first, even though it handled like my beloved RE4 there were just some aspects about it that kind of irritated me. Like the no pause menu? Your attempts at gathering another weapon could be interrupted at any moment by some rabid villager just waltzing up and biting your nipples off. Now I know there was the option of programing some of those into your d-pad so you could just press down and get your aid spray at any time but for some reason it would never react as quickly as I wanted it too when I was in the heat of some huge cluster fuck. And it did cause me to die quite a few times.

The AI was flawed but not as incompetent as some other choice ones that I could think of. Sheva did have this horrible habit of wasting my health and ammo when I really needed her to be conservative but she was a fuck lot better than Ashley was. But then again, at least Ashley knew when to stay the fuck out of my way when I wanted her to. And while I am complaining I might as well bring this up: What the fuck was up with her always getting her ass in your way and killed when you LEAST expected it? Especially when it came to the chainsaw guys. Headless sheva was a constant but she wasn't always so fucking stupid. I thought she was pretty useful and she was an ok cover when I needed a distraction.

I just want to throw this one in here before I forget: Reapers are the fucking most ANNOYING B.O.W I have EVER fought in my entire life. Fucking one hit kills? Are you serious? That's pretty sad when I have more troubles with the standard B.O.W than I do with any of the games major bosses. Fucking holy shit Capcom.



Music/Graphics: I thought the graphic's and the scenery was simply divine, there was no qualms there. I just loved the realistic sight and sound of crushing someone's head in under your boot while they scream. o_o;; >_>; *cough* e_e

Everything was indeed very, very pretty. Especially the music, I LOVE that soundtrack and it is on my list of things to collect along with getting myself a life, no?

Story: Now here is where I get fussy, what the fuck was up with this whole "wesker is manufactured" shit? Why do I feel like I just watched some over done Sci-fi channel flick? Ah, I really should stop that right? I really am trying to appreciate this game for what it is. The story itself was an issue, right off the bat I knew this was not what I was hoping for but as I continued on I became more and more interested in what Wesker had planned this time around. Because he is the big bad guy behind the scenes that seems to have hold of everyone's puppet strings.

But there just seemed like there was something missing, you know? I just can't put my finger on it. The ending left me with gigantic blue balls. So what? Your partner is supposedly dead...You find out she lives and then there is nothing but epic fade to black while they fly off into the sunset? What the fuck?
