Gone is my 105mm macro, gone is the 24-70 zoom.  (sucked anyway).  Thankfully the Tokina 12-24mm IS compatable.

Turns out Tokina and Tamron are licensed and have all the current technology, so if anyone out there is building up a collection of Sigma lenses for their Nikon and planning to upgrade camera bodies, beware!

I also found out I got 8th place in PhotoLife magazine's contest in the Nature/Landscape category.  Not the best but still published :)

And lastly, the Nikon D300 is now in my hands.  It is fanTASTIC!  Moving up from the D70, it's like night and day. All the new photos I take will be with this camera from now on.

The other, a photo of a collapsing barn took 3rd in the "Country Life" category but also won the award for the photo that best represents Sussex County, which came along with a $50 cash prize.  So I'm now tens of dollars richer.

What was going on in Massa's head is beyond me, right from the start when he suddenly jerked his car WAY wide in turn 1, allowing both McLarens to shoot by.  Then he runs off the track dashing any hopes for Ferrari.  Toss in a few brake lock-ups, and it was just a lousy, lousy race.

Now I have to watch that Jackass do another one of his friggin' dances.   Where is a sniper when you need one?

The camera is fantastic...really built solid as a rock, takes great photos and if you shoot 35mm it's a wonderful cam.  But I don't have a lot of use for it and don't want it to sit in a drawer.

New, it's $800.  I've seen some on Ebay that were used a lot for around $400.  Since it's in perfect condition and only has about 48 clicks on the shutter, I'm thinking around $450 would be more than fair.

Add to the equation that there is a shoulder only on about 1% of NJ roads, making pulling over pretty difficult.  Especially when there is a car 6 inches off your bumper even though you are going 15 over the limit.
