I had a blast at Anime Expo with my eECafe+ family this year, but there was a lot of tiresome work involved. Several of us were running back and forth changing from cosplay outfits and doing photoshoots, which I really admire. Next year I definitely want to join in!

The rest of us sat at our tables and didn't eat until around 9PM each night. We played DS and laughed at ~EggyComics's comics. And we had interesting restaurant experiences. Those of you that went to AX and had good dining experiences, I'll be happy to take any suggestions you have for next year!

Business-wise, I did okay. I learned a lot. Like not to rely too much on the past venue (the traffic flow through artist alley was so much better in 2007 at LBCC). I guess I was lucky last year, because I sold well, despite selling mostly original artworks. Most of my revenue (90%) came from selling buttons I made, so I should focus more on that instead of waiting until last minute.

I met a lot of artists this year and even did print trades. Being shy really doesn't get you anywhere, I've learned. A lot of people were really friendly and outgoing, and some form their own cliques, and some can be... a lot different than you pictured online.

For the upcoming year, keep your eye out for new things to come. ~e1n and I challenged each other to do an 18x24" color spread on bristol board - he's famous for his B&W spreads, so this will be interesting (and me, I have never done such a large scale drawing!). And yes, I will do some fanart for next year for sure!

... The main reason why I did not have fanarts to sell this year was because I do not keep up with anything. I just recently started to read One Piece (which is now my love) and plan on reading Eyeshield 21. I usually read obscure manga with a small fanbase (I particularly enjoy horror and psychological genre). Won't it be interesting to see how my style develops after I finish reading these?

I really miss my eECafe+ family.

For the rest of the summer, I hope to sketch a lot. This fall I'll be attending my first semester of college, and because I went crazy during high school (APs), I'll soon be able to take fun classes, like fashion design, photography, and animation. Maybe I have the common university freshman enthusiasm, but it can't be helped. Phweeee.

Currently, I'm just suffering from senioritis and just waiting for the days to pass. School is constantly kicking me while I'm down, things don't seem to go right... all that good stuff.

I'll be at Anime Expo this year in the Artist Alley as part of eEcaFE+. I'm not planning to be selling the same things as last year; hopefully I'll be more productive and give you a sneak peek of what's to come. If I don't - then we can just rely on the best things being surprises, yes?

Hopefully I'll have more drawings coming. Hopefully.

I've also started venturing outside of my little art bubble. AP Studio is stifling but it keeps me on my feet. I've also been tiptoe-ing into photography (at which, I am a total noob). If you'd like to catch me by and by, I update my livejournal quite often. I like reading blogs, so hit me up if you have an LJ too.

I wanted to start a clean slate. Originally I was going to start a whole new account, but I'm really attatched to this username. So most of my things have been scrapped, deleted, or storaged.

I kept my tutorials up because hopefully, some people will find them useful still.

2;Why did you scrap your Daily Deviation?
The Daily Deviation is one of the main reasons for my wanting a clean slate. It's not that I'm not honored for being chosen for it, I just feel that I didn't deserve it. And I don't want to be known for that drawing (I don't like that drawing very much at all). I want to continue showing people that I'm still growing and I can do better, and that my DD was just a hint of what's to come.

3;Will your drawings ever come back into the gallery?
I doubt it. I'm still a kid, and as amateur as I am now, I think I only have room for improvement. Each time I look at those drawings, I see how much I've grown up. I don't think I can "go back", so say farewell to my old drawings.

4;Will you start posting new things again? When?
I will get around to it, eventually. Some friends and I have an artbook in the planning, but the official plans won't be announced until sometime next year.

I'm also making a habit of taking progress shots for every drawing I've done - perhaps some more tutorials are on their way.

5;Commissions?
I'm available for commissions, note me.
You'll receive a 600dpi scan of your commission, and you will earn the rights to use it any way you please, excluding commercial usage (for example, you can use it on your websites, layouts, icons, LJ, but not sell it as a design for a t-shirt). You also can't claim that you drew it ;__;
Original copy (for traditional pieces) will cost extra.
