Speaking of music, this is the bulk of my journal entry today, I found this hilarious site: [link] about how people shouldn't be gay and they try to turn you straight but w/e. The main point is that that page says that music can greatly influence homosexuality, and has a lists of bands that can turn your children gay, and advises parents to burn their kid's cds right in front of their faces if they find any on this list. YOu should read it, it makes me lol so hard.

With no breaks in between. I half fifth lunch. D:

It's not so bad. It only means I can't hang out with my friends at lunch. But since fifth period is at the end of the day, I can sleep in on some days because my school switches period 1&5 every day! Hooray!

So yeah. That's my schedule. I'm excited for media arts, because we're starting to use the 3d animation program tomorrow. Polygons and shit, yo. Awesome. we also watched a bit of the original Tron, which I now have to watch. It's soooo awesomeeee like the first movie to majorly use CGI. It's ridiculous actually. I can't believe I haven't seen it before.

In art, we've been using some India Ink, which is now one of my most favorite things ever. EVER. I can actually use a paintbrush to make things look good with them. Then I was at 's house and he gave me his nib pen and a jar of India ink for free because he didn't want them! THANK YOU

So the next couple deviations I upload will probably be some of the stuff I've been doing with India Ink, either with a paintbrush or a nib pen.

English meh, bio meh. But in bio the second day I switched in to the class we had a mini-test assement and I think I aced it even though I hadn't been there.

So yeah. School.

MUSIC&BAND SHIT YO:

I had a band practice on Friday and we only have three people now, but I wrote a song and we ended up playing it instrumentally for like... 15 minutes. We just ended up jamming so intensely. We were really in sync with each other which I was really glad with. For example, the chorus is just a little bass riff I do for the melody where we would usually sing with the bass notes (but we didn't have a mic amp so we weren't singing that day) but it's supposed to stick out without the other instruments, and even without us communicating, we all just knew when the right time would be to play it. So like, everyone would be just playing crazy then the next bar everything goes quiet as the guitar changes to palmed chords and the drum just plays bass beats and I do the little riff by myself, then we would go back in to it crazy and the drums kept changing and ~Tempest-Fall played the best solo he has ever played in his life. Awesome. We just got in to such a good groove. Of course, I was playing the same bass line pretty much the whole time |D but the other two kept switching it up and we were just in such sync it was amazing.

But I was a bitch at the practice just besides that part where we jammed it pretty much sucked |D I take the blame, I was just really overtired, and my friend opened up some old wounds/anxieties so I kind of bitched out at her. I feel really bad about it because I'm usually never a bitch like that but I dunno... the past couple months have been really hard for me music-wise because the original band broke up, then she went with that band but she's in both, and the others formed sort of the band I'm in right now, and our keyboard just quit so there's three of us now and I've always felt really threatened by the other band because they got so much of a head start on us. Our guitarist left for 6 weeks to do a program in Europe so I did nothing for more than a month while the other band was getting paid gigs a a cafe downtown.
Plus my ex-band member said he thought our band would fall apart. That pissed me off.
Anyhow.
I've always had this anxiety that if our drummer had to choose one band she would choose the other band, because they're way more famous and more a of a music style she likes. And yeah... Those guys are the guys that left us so that's a huge ego-buster/self confidence killer, no?

We only had singers for certain songs though, so we did some crazy shiz. 'Twas awesome. We did not have our synthist or singer, so came over and played violin and synth for us!!! Soooo gooooooodddd. Rock instruments combined with instruments like violin and stuff comes together beautifully.

Basically, we're playing a song that has a lot of solos and random instrumentation in it, but we didn't have our singer so we didn't really have a "map" for the song. So pretty much we improved random bits of the song and made a cool new musical experience! I wish we recorded it. It sounded so nice.
The night before, my guitar teacher taught me how to solo horizontally with pentatonic steps (I already knew vertical) so I was soloing/doing improv all over the bass neck. SO GOOD. So happy.

We play it so crazy though. We basically like, made the song a giant string of solos and choruses and random things.

I'm really excited for our next gig.

One of the best days ever yesterday, I went out with my band to celebrate being awesome in battle of the bands. We went lasertagging!

My friend (the one in my most recent deviation and our drummer), had never done this before, so it was really fun. My other friend (our rhythm guitarist) was the top scorer in all the games! We also played games and got over 700 tickets from the arcade and bought crappy little paper fans We also played 4 player DDR on the two game spots! Oh we were devious children. Fortunately, the staff were pretty cool about it.

Afterwards we hung about a dollar store and a parking lots having some bonding time with silly string and sparklers (>:]), then we rode some buses together back to my friend's house and were going to play video games, but the extra Wii controllers were at my house so instead we hung out in the sound room and jammed/played some random games. It sucked because I had to leave first, but it was super fun.

Yeah we rocked battle of the bands!!! We need more excuses to waste money like this more often All in all, a great bonding experience with lots of fun. Also a great day for personal reasons, but maybe you'll hear about that some other time. But probably not. It is a day to be documented though!!!

popular people post crap as "art" and get thousands of people saying 'OFMGIF#$@64<3URARTZTHEYRTEHPWN!?!?!?1111ONE!!!11" when there are much better people out there who are under-appreciated. However, everybody knows this. If you don't, well here you go! I for one, always heck the daily deviation page when I come online, in the chance that there will be something amazing that not many people knew about yet. In my personal opinion, those "popular artists" get too much of an ego, and their art starts to decay without any purpose either than having their ego petted. Anyhow:

It's boring. I've been doing a lot of soul searching recently, and I've found out what I really wanted in life. It's really simple now. this life online; it's so pathetic. But I will continue to stay on because people depend on me. Plus I use it to keep in touch with old friends.

I have my ups and downs with dA, and this is just a down. I'll probably be up again soon when I am not so tired with this all. I actually have a subscription-in-pending I won from the *ShadowCatClub to use when I like, but I'm going to use it when I start using dA more again. I'm entered in another one of their contests again, one that started in august: [link] which I entered my current favorite deviation in ^_^ check it out. It's a pretty good club and the owner is really nice so feel free to drop by ^_^

I got a crapload of comics and stuff so i'll just write some things I got here because its pretty epic

Reborn volumes 7 and 8 and Rurouni Kenshin and Gin Tama and HunterXHunter (all volumes 1) from my older brother, along with some magic cards (=_= he really broke the bank on that one; apparently he wanted to outdo everyone )

I got some more awesome packs of magic cards from a friend, and this nice box to put them in too! I also got a custom page of random cyanide and happiness comics put together by my friend and a Curious George Pinata! I had lots of fun with that one...kekekekeke MMM Candy I can put up a picture it's really funny.

I got prismacolor pencils! yayayayayayayayayayayay I will do lots of funky things with those!!!!

I got this graphic novel called "Reformed" written by my idol (Christopher Hart [inspired me to draw when I was little]) and it turns out the artist of the book has deviantart too!!!! I went and wrote on their page what a good book it was 8D I also got a book of 500 liscence-free manga creatures which are pretty awesome-ly awesome! Some of them, even though they are liscenced free I can't really use because they look exactly like pokemon xD most of them are really awesome though. it comes with a CD so you can colour them on the computer! Also I got a brilliant Hedley CD all from my friend They were all playing in Oakville recently (I got moshed at that concert and lost my fedora :'( but he also got me a new one because he's awesome!)

I got the first trade-paperback of Invincible by Robert Kirkman, one of my favorite comic-authors (also the author of the Astounding Wolf-man) I read it and it was exactly his style! It's really awesome you should check out that series) I also got a pretty awesomely drawn card and some moneys along with i. Thanks !!!

got me an original copy of Batman: The Killing Joke" which was featured on the cover of this year's FanExpo Canada pamphlet! While I was there I also went to a cover-panel where the cover artist was the artist of that cover, and talked about that cover! Coincidence...I think not? He also gave me a sketchbook and some curry-dollars and some inking pens. Recently, he moved away from me, and I started running out of ink in the last pen he got me, and thought"Oh No! I can't permanently-borrow-without-asking Chris' pens anymore!!" but he had it covered

Awesomesauce. My friend also gave me an awesome handbag made of foreign coke can-wrappers that is so pretty!!! She filled it with my favorite candy too! I call it my coke-bag xD

From my parents I got a cell phone, and an Across The Universe music book so I can learn to play the songs! ASDFSFSDFASDGSAHDGF I HAVE A PHONE NOW!!!!!!!! I LUVS IT!!!! it's a motorola rokr...and it's freaking love it...

Anyhow, so I dreamed I got a DD last night =_= I was so excited. Funny, I didn't remember it at all until a second ago when I went to my page and wondered why the special was gone :C

School starts the day before my birthday, and that sucks. I am in grade 10 now! Double Digits hooray! I'm going to be super-uber sad next year because my brother will be gone from my school and off to college somewhere :CCCC because half of his friends are mine too and they will be gone as well!!

The light side is, I got lots of school school supplies yesterday. My dad wanted to be thrifty and get crappy books, but I went the extra mile and offered to pay him myself for the nice pretty ones

Also, I have to get my contest entry today or I won't be able to enter this contest I wanted to enter and already worked hard on the submission.

It was hella fun.

I went to my friend's house with my brother, and we watched "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and ate pizza. Then when it was all dark, we went outside and started a fire, where my brother first discovered my friend had a pool. xD he wouldn't stop saying "You have a POOL?!?!?!" all night xD

So we started taking our likenesses, and casting them in to the fire. My friend went first, taking the picture he drew and burning it [link] . He also burned a picture of Michael Meyers, which then flew up from the flames and floated over the the wicker chair, with everyone screaming (yeah if you say a burning piece of paper flying towards you you would be freaking out too) and trying to stamp out all the sparks before the chair caught fire.

I went next, burning a witch figure I had made from sticks and red thread, (which I will upload a picture of soon) and it took a lot longer to burn than the drawings.

MY brother burned a picture he quickly sketched of shadows because they freak him out :\ OLDER brother (haha yes he HATES it when I talk abouthim on deviantart xD)

Then we all ate evil marshmallows, imbued with darkness from the bad spirit flames of the burning stuff.
Evil is tasty.

And thats basically all we did, and it was really awesome. My friend also made me a super smash bros trophy of yellow kirby out of speacial paper. I love kirby <3

Also, my internet is messed up, and I'm really mad. i can't even access safari, and my frefox is just really really slow and I have to click things 5 times to get them to work. So thats just annoying.

Got to another level in FF3 for DS, where the Dragoon jobs and bard and geomancers are now available. Does anyone know how to hook up wifi or wireless communications on that game? Whatever. I just tried doing it with my friend and it hasn't been working.

In other words, my 2 best friends are teaming up on my other best friend because she's being annoying. Like, just doing stuff and then complaining when we do it to her. TAT* yeah I know. And the worst thing is THE INSIDE JOKES. Its like the main weapon of exclusion. My friends fight over the stupidest things.

Yeah. That all sounds pretty sucky doesn't it? Well I have some good news. For me.

Another note. I get really mad when I put a lot of effort in to my work and no one comments. That urban jungle picture is a seriously awesome shot for no editing, and full of meaning. I've done so much, accomplished an amazing amount in the past little while, and you know what? no one seems to care. I don't post things here for my health. I do it so people can look at my work, and help me improve. I for one comment so MUCH on people's work, and I usually try to say something when someone I know posts stuff, even if I have nothing really to say. Like you could say "ha ha nice" or even the smallest amount. or if you don't like it, SAY SO. just say anything....

I went with my dad, my brother, and 2 of my brother and my's friends (these guys)

there wasnt a lot of anime there, but i did pick up a copy of scott pilgrim volume four (8D) and his other random manga volume that was only 1$ so i bought it but it turned out to be a story about this chick who secretly drew her friends as yaoi fanfiction characters :\

Anyhow there was a lot of cool stuff going on. I managed to get a super-power-up mario mushroom doll for around 10$ and a limited edition wind waker/phantom hourglass link doll for 40$. Which sounds ridiculous ans it was, the person said the big one was 40$ and the small one was 20$ and i thought the one i was holding WAS the small one so i paid her 20$ and she hands me this tiny little thing ond so one of my bro's friend gives me another 20 and we buy it together. Which was really nice of him so I went looking for something I could get him and I found a Venom hat (yeah he's really obsessed with venom) and so yeah he really liked that, and I ended up spending around 40$ anyways.

ALSO, I got an inked sketch of Speedy done for me by the artist working on Teen Titans: Year One and so now I have my own original art from that guy. I've gotton Robin from the atist of Teen Titans Go! and Speedy from Karl Kerscel and so now I want to get Kid Flash. Or Impulse. Or both. So yeah my brother's friends gave these artists their drawings of OCs they have and then the artists did some drawings of them so i thought that was cool. And I viewed an art panel where the artist of xmen and the guy i got speedy from and the guy who draws invincible all drew batman and answered questions from the audience and then raffled off the drawings they had done at the end. unfortunately, I didnt win any but w/e

I also tried on a wierd bear pillow that was actually a hat and the paws with claws with blood on them xD it was all pink too xD

and also i bought 4 boxes of pocky AND OH MY GOD IT IS ADDICTING and this wierd grape gum that is not gum.

yay. I had a fun day. I also wore my naruto headband around my neck, but the only other cosplayers I saw that were not 40-year-old men were some girls my age dressed up as Matt from deathnote and a Lovecube from Portal (i think?) wearing a mokona hat.

I saw an old guy dressed up as cobra commander and it was actually pretty cool.

Oh! and there were a bunch of people around 20 (years) or so dressed in star wars costumes and with lightsabers and were fooling aorund with them in the lobby and there were a bunch of them all in this group

OH! And also I had an interview with this guy who looked like Jim Carrey about this new super hero internet show that I knew nothing about, and looked pretty stupid. They filmed it and stuff, so when i found out where it is posted, I can give you a link and you can go watch my epic-failness in answering that guys questions.

anyhow, I missed the mudkip event, so that sucks. oh well. I didnt really do anything for april fools, not even on my brothers or anyone, but i did almost get the announcement people to sing happy birthday to my friend over the announcements. But i chickened out xD

Though it would have been a great prank to do on someone else, (because it actually was her birthday) on someone who hadnt had their real birthday that day, because then people would have started walkig around telling them to have a happy birthday xD

so anyways our school concert band (oakville trafalgar) went to musicfest at McMaster University and we got to compete to go to provincials but we only got silver but we still got really good.

The whole thing was put in jeopardy because of me because there was only was one amp on stage and there were two bassists (me and my friend chris) so the MC called on her radio to get a guy to bring us another amp, and so we were waiting for a couple minutes and nothing happened. So pretty soon our conductor (and music teacher) comes up to us and says that we will be disqualified if we run out of time. so we worked it out if the amp didnt show up i would play the first song, chris the second and i the third. So I played the first song solo (except with the trombone and baritone) and by the end of the first dong, a big sweaty fat guy rushes on to the stage with another 50 pund amp and hes all puffing and sweating and i could see why because the amp was more than half as tall as me. So that was fun. So we played the rest of the songs together.

After, we were going to get our pictures taken and me, my friend Anders, Chris Marcus and Jessie (all guys btw) started not paying attention and following other white shirts. We almost followed another band on stage! So yeah we were running around with big saxaphones and trombones and basses screaming "WE'RE DEAD! SHE'S GONNA KILL US!" trying to find the room where we were supposed to get our picture taken. So pretty soon i spot the tour-guide-y-person and ask where OT concert band is getting their picture taken. She leads us to the room, but she was so slow taking us there that we missed the picture. So we became the 5 Mystery Players. Oh, and our teacher didn't kill us she just shrugged and said too bad so YAY! WE'RE ALIVE! D D D D D D D D D

oh, and in the room we were setting up in the senior concert band all the guys decided to get changed while we set up so it was me and Jessie (another jessie a girl this time) were like getting our lunches and w/e and we turn around and all we see are guys stripping around us *nosebleed*

Yeah it was a good trip all in all. I went home on the senior concert band but with the girl jessie and i accidentaly got her high on fruit loops and i misunderstood what she was saying 17 times and i finally ended up with "John Cheese" so that wont be the last you hear of him....HAPPY FEBRUARY 22ND!!!!!!!!!

oh and I went to my friend's house tonight and we watched "the reaping" (horrible) and across the universe (again ) and her mom got out all her old beatles stuff and we had a 3 woman band and played the "Hey Jude" riff over and over again together with piano acoustic and electric guitar so that was amazing fun.

oh and today in science we had a lab and were playing with gasses in test tubes and some guys' pressure in the tubes were so strong the stoppers shot out in to the ceiling and puches the tiles up :3 so that was funny

-started a nice bookmark-type picture on some card my dad found. An attempt at realism (kind of) but I'm really proud of it

-colouring on photoshop. Done in a different style, I name LOL FAIL style, which is kind of mosiac-y


so there's all that I've been doing, and all of those are actually sophisticated art works I've been doing, not loser-ish doodles.

Anyways, I've found religion. The Beatles. Watched Across the Universe last friday, and watched it 2 days in a row. EXCELLENT MOVIE OH MY GOD. Actually, I was able to sing to some of the songs, and finger the chords of some too. Man it was awesome.

Just got out of the first week of school, and enhanced english has a lot of homework T_T yes so that sucks.

I am home sick today, because I feel sick. showed me how to make flower/ninja stars out of starburst wrappers, so I bought like 8 packs and made 134435645 stars. Which is why I'm sick T_T but I was able to finish a nice drawing today, and will have it up soon, along with more stuff that is awesome

what i really want to know how to do is get the lineart off of my drawings after i scan them. Like rip the lineart in to a new layer with transparent background, so I can clean up with leisure and colour under the layer. My friend tried showing me, but I have mac photoshop elements, and I cant find the "multiply" button.

there is much stuff i dont know, like how to make a line. Yeah. I cant find the basic shapes menu. I suck.

so if anyone wants to help me out that whould be great.

This morning I found out that I had photoshop elements installed on my computer. And I had no idea where it came from. Then i remembered I got a bunch of bonus disks that came with my tablet...5 MONTHS ago. But then again, my dad installed it for me so.
