Panorama series is not my usual type of fotography. These shots are so much larger than everyday life, that I decided to post them anyway. They will end too soon and I'll return to architecture.

Did you notice that days are becoming longer? I get to see the last moments of sun when I get out of work.

Thank You for a barrage of comments I'm going to slowly reply to everybody as I finally have some time.

I just received my Computer Engineering Degree from University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and now I'm working full time as a research programmer. 7th story private office with a view of the city underneath is nice Being surrounded by Apple Xserve's, High End Dell's and occasional SGI O2 and Onyx is nice too But the job is a lot of work and somewhat stressful as well. Everything has it's ups and downs.

In the past few months I realized that you cannot trust anyone. People whom I have considered good acquitances turned against me for their own profit. I am facing legal problems due to a contract I co-signed with them and which they have broken.

I will come out of it fine, but I'm sorry for them. It's amazing what people will do for money and what they'll sacrifice and void.

I've just read the history of DA that was posted by Spyed. While I do appreciate the effort DA creators have put into this site, I feel lied to. I have never suspected that DA is/was part of the Disney media conglomerate. When I joined I was convinced this site was purely a grassroots effort, but after DA commercial ventures like DAprints began appearing, I relized this site is business as usual. Of course there is nothing wrong with business, but I would have appreciated honesty upfront.

One has to be a real DA jukie in order to have anybody notice their work. By that I mean one has to spend lots of time in discussions, and has to comment dozens of pieces everyday.

With so many new deviations every second, how can anybody's work be on the front page, or recently submitted works page, for long enough to be noticed by a random joe?

I feel that DA has grown too much, one can't just post their work and hope that somebody, anybody, will have a chance to see it and enjoy it. (I'm referring to viewing counts and not comment counts).

Am I the only one feeling this way?

It is a second hand 35mm camera. Praktica BC1 with 35-70 lens.

Until now I didn't realize how granular cheap 35mm film is and how narrow is the contrast range of digital cameras. I like 35mm but digital is still tops for me.

I have never taken any photography classes. Well, not anymore, today I had my first showing of photos in an academic setting. I'm taking an "architecture photography" class here at TUD... It went awesome, I had the most thought-out photos, with a very visible theme and also extremely well done technically. It was very funny, the instructors walked for a minute or two around a huge tablen where each of 20 people laid out their 24 frames, stopped in front of mine and then discussions started. They said why my set caught their attention, why as a whole it works, and then started pointing out other people's mistakes by using my photos as examples of "the right way" They were not cruel, but gave constructive criticism very freely. I'm slowly starting to get noticed which gives me even more motivation to work on improving my skills!!! Next week we will create a huge collage which will be shown in The Architecture Museum in Frankfurt(M), provided that it will be interesting.
