So let's just dive in this freshman's first weeks of high school.

Well, the first two days totally sucked (so badly I was considering quitting band...), but the end of the week was awesome, and in band (I'm in Symphonic 1, and we have 7 clarinets- 3 freshmen including me and 4 upperclassmen) I beat my fellow freshman and made 5th chair. ^_^ But damn, our music is pretty hard, and since my private lessons teacher has been having health problems (which really sucks and I hope she gets better because she is AWESOME) I haven't had a lesson in over a month...and I really need one.

Oh well, choir has been a lot of fun and my choir director is uber nice (unlike my middle school choir director) so that's a plus.

My Pre-AP English teacher is also cool, and I'm loving her class. The first Friday of school we had to write an essay in one class period about an important topic to yourself and how it is important to you, the community, or your generation. I really wanted to write about how prejudice is wrong and include fighting for LGBT rights, but I wimped out and wrote about helping the environment (which, don't get me wrong, I'm big about helping the environment and am highly against animal cruelty). Yet, I couldn't possibly write a paper about prejudice in just one class period.

Anyway, on to FRENCH! French is fun but sometimes hard, especially remembering how to spell the words. They make no sense to a native English speaker (no offense), lol. So...how about I practice for a tad bit of this journal? Qui?

So yeah, we had a quiz yesterday in French and I'm really nervous about what I made. Looking back, I already realize one question that I know I missed and two words I might have mistranslated. I did my best though. We shall just have to see.

Now, I am going to skip to yesterday.

Yesterday we had a pep rally and I was late because I went to my regular lunch so I slipped under the railing to where the band was in the gym. My section leader found me and asked me what happened and told me to next time ask my teacher if I could leave class for band. She also said sneaking in was a good idea, lol. That was a time when it was good to not be noticed, lol.

Unfortunately, I screwed up again. For the game, I went to the stadium and waited for the other band members. I was actually supposed to go to the high school, and after we practiced a bit, we went by bus to the stadium. So technically, I was uber late. Luckily my mom and her husband especially, are very convincing people, so I got off the hook. Still, it was really embarrassing and I don't think anyone will ever forget it. Then again, one of the main people who saved me was one of the drum majors who seems to like me. THANK GOD THAT PERSON SAVED ME!

As for the game, the first part was kind-of bad, because I was thirsty and felt somewhat alone and for two other major reasons:

1. I brought my flip folder since they asked us to bring the music we play for the drill team, but we not supposed to so I put it under my clothes. Because of that, I had to make my horn angle kind-of bad so my flip folder would not fall out. Luckily it did not fall out, but I probably got some looks putting it under my clothes. Sigh, lol.

2. When I blew air to play my first note, the note did not come out because somehow my reed was so chipped that it was like I didn't have a reed on my mouthpiece (I'm so glad I brought extra reeds though so I could play for the rest of the game atleast). I REALLY, REALLY wanted to play so that sucked. I also landed out of line on a set, AND since a move in the second movement changed (I assume while I was waiting at the stadium), I almost ran into someone. Yet, besides all that, my family was like OMG YOU MARCHED REALLY WELL!!! HIGH SCHOOL IS CONFUSING. Then again, hell, maybe I did look good. IDK.

The second part of the game was awesome though! There’s a tradition that at every game, the clarinetist freshmen have to eat a pickle in less than 10 seconds. I didn’t eat the pickle in less than 10 seconds…well, I somewhat did. I took a bite and swallowed and then shoved the rest in my mouth. Afterwards they took a pic of me with my mouth open (seriously, eww…lol) and then people were giving me high fives and saying I was really cool, lol. So I guess I redeemed myself from earlier, XD! Lastly, at the end I thought we were going to lose, but in the last few minutes, we secured a win! ^_^

Well, when it comes to art updates, I have been working on a submission for 's contest. Besides that, I am working on writing my book, so I have time for about 2 requests or art trades.

When it comes to life lately, on August 3 I shall begin band camp and it will go on until school starts, so I am going to be pretty busy.

Anyway, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of my watchers and supporters because I have absolutlely loved these past two years here on dA! I hope that as time passes, my time here will get even better! ^_^

So blah, now to talk about how I have been. The end of school went pretty well, though I hated saying goodbye to my band directors and my Pre-AP English teacher. THEY ROCK!
As for my sucky choir teacher...I didn't say goodbye to her and when my fellow 8th graders took our final picture with her, I didn't smile. HA! That was my way of flipping her off. ^_^ PWNAGE!

So yeah, IT'S SUMMER! And the most exciting thing that I have done so far is go to a meet-up for this livejournal community ontd_startrek. I only met 2 other people there, but they were awesome so it was great! Plus seeing Star Trek again made me love it more! XD

Hey everyone it's about freakin' time I UPDATE!

Anyways, the time since I last updated has been okay I guess. First off, when I went to the dentist a few weeks ago, I got 2 cavities filled and a very lovely root canal. Let's just say I learned that you REALLY should brush your teeth the hard way, lol. It hurt, and it sucked to be able to eat only on one side of my mouth for 2 weeks. Luckily I got my crown last Wednesday, and I'm used to it, so I'm ok. Also, I finally started really playing Pokemon Platinum and it's AWESOME! I do not care how old I get, I WILL ALWAYS, love Pocket Monsters! I still remember when I was 5 when I got my GBC and Pokemon games- and sadly enough, I actually have not beaten them yet! XD But, I’ve beaten all of my Pokemon games besides my Red and Yellow (except for Platinum, which I will beat soon).
It's not that it's uber hard, it's that I really didn't understand what happened at the end of a Pokemon game when I was 5 and 6. OH, and also, another funny thing about my old Pokemon games is that in my Red, for some unknown reason, my 5-year-old self named my Charizard COOOOOOOOO. What the hell was I thinking, XD.

Anyways, at the Peak Music Festival, the band I'm in, Honor's Band got all 1s (that's the best you can get).

In speaking of music, my choir trip to San Antonio was cancelled because of swine flu. UGH.

Lastly, today I'm getting a small Bamboo Fun Wacom tablet! I just hope I won't fail with it because I drew with a Cintiq tablet at Micro Center, and it didn't look as good as my drawings on paper do because it was kind of hard to draw straight lines with it. Luckly, I've heard that since the Bamboo Fun is textured, it feels more like your drawing on paper, whereas the more expensive ones are flat screens.

But anyways, I didn’t get in the talent show because I found out that the uber rich kids whose parents have connections and are in the PTA got in the show. I SERIOUSLY NEED A FUCKING BULLSHIT BUTTON.

Oh well, that’s the price I pay for going to a school in a rich school district and not being rich. Ugh, it makes me want to rant about how REAL musicians are all about the music and NOT the money. Oh, and did I mention one of the judges was my choir teacher? I used to kind-of like her, but now I have a hard time stepping into her classroom. I mean, she gave me a solo in the concert for God’s sake (even if it was short, people loved it)! I know I’m a pretty good singer and the only reason I am not in Girl’s Select Choir is because last year and the year before I wasn’t in choir so I didn’t audition. Plus, my teacher is breaking a UIL rule- she is threatening to not let some people go because they can’t sight read very well and because of behavior problems! According to rules, the only way you cannot let someone go is if they are failing a class. *sigh* I just hope that my high school choir teacher will be a good teacher. Luckily, I think that she will because she apparently does not like my current choir director. And inspeaking of high school…

I admit, I am kind of scared about going to high school, but I do have some stuff to look forward to. Like marching band, French, and a new choir director. Plus I won’t be hassled by seniors since a have a good friend who knows some of the soon-to-be seniors. Yet, I’m mainly scared because…well… DAMN, I am growing up and I don’t want to grow up! I have been so used to being a little girl for so long and I like to pretend to still be that little girl. It just feels weird being regarded as a young woman now. Especially with me looking like I’m 16 and being able to possibly pass for 18! Four more years and I’ll be an adult. Where has time gone? Time seems to be going so much faster nowadays. It’s, just…something that makes me sad and disappointed. I love being a kid. I couldn’t possibly imagine myself any other way. Ugh, I think that I need an inspirational speech spoken to me right now, lol. It’s just so hard to except the fact that I’m going to be all grown up soon. Oh well, I WILL attempt to enjoy it while it lasts.

Lolz, but I’m lucky because before the surgery my appendix did not burst. Thank God, because one of my great aunts died from appendicitis, although it was in the 1940s when it happened. And my grandma on my dad’s side of the family got her appendix removed when she was 15 after it burst and she survived (but she died before I was born- same with my dad’s dad.) And since most people who comment on my journal I know in real life (and I know I can trust my dA friends I don’t know in real life…right? XD) I’m 14. So blah. That’s it, no more personal info, okay? XD But whoever guesses my full b-day gets a virtual cookie. Lol.

I got my appendix removed last night.
Okay, it honestly was not that bad, but it was my first surgery since I had tubes in my ears when I was a baby. I'm in the hospital right now, but I'm going to go home today! ^_^
And I just got my lunch. CLEAR LIQUID DIET. Ugh...
But I am not allowed to go to school again until next Monday! Yay! But boo, there goes perfect attendance.
AND, I can't participate in band, choir (NOOOOO) or drill team (YESSSS) for atleast 2 weeks. BUT, I'll never have to deal with that stupid appendix ever again!

Anyways, I just finished reading The Amber Spyglass, and it was awesome, though the ending was sad. Plus I apparently have the censored version, YUCK. Seriously, there are YA books that have sexual content in them, yet if a book describes a 13-year-old girl's incipient sexuality, they HAVE TO CENSOR IT!!! Okay, where's my BS button? I guess it’s because some people think that they are kids’ books. WRONG! You have to be at least 12 or 13 and have some brains to read His Dark Materials and actually understand it. That's why I want to go buy the British version of His Dark Materials. In speaking of that, can you buy items from a foreign Amazon store? At the American Amazon store, the British versions of HDM are uber expensive, but obviously at the UK Amazon store, they are cheaper. Any suggestions on how to get the British version of HDM? Anyways, I just finished Northern Lights (AKA The Golden Compass) and I LOVED it. I bought the other two books in the His Dark Materials series, but I can't read them until I finish my summer reading...

I also downloaded the first episode of Star Trek: TOS on iTunes, and I loved it (if you're wondering, until now the only trek series that I watched were TNG, Voyager, and Enterprise).

Anyways, in other news, last night I went to a cool event at my library for the teen reading program. This percussionist guy showed us some awesome percussion instuments, and after that, we all formed a drum circle!

What's cool is that at the end, one of the guys who worked at the library noticed the Ramones wristband that I was wearing, and he asked me who was my fav Ramone. I said that I couldn't decide because they are all really great. Then he said that when he was a teen he had a Ramones lunchbox, and that he's trying to collect all their albums. Then he asked me what some of my other fav bands were, and if I've been to any live shows, and I told him about the Foxboro Hot Tubs concert that I went to. He said that he really liked live shows, and I was like "Cool!".

Also, I won a $10 Target gift card in the drawing there, and I've never won anything in a drawing before! ^_^ I'm glad that I read 13 books- for every book you got one ticket in the drawing! Of course though, I love to read anyway!

Ugh...still, this really sucks that I can't go! Especially since I've never seen PotO live before- or any musical live for that matter!

OMG UIL IS TOMMAROW! I get to miss some school because of it (but still, the stupid make-up work....) I sooooo hope that we get a 1!


Oh, and have you guys (especially the Green Day fans) heard of the Foxboro Hot Tubs? I bet you have! So what's the deal with Amazon? I guess I'll have to wait until the 29th.....

But yay, I got a 90 on my poster about Serena Williams for English class, and I finished my 2 book reports....too bad I'm about to get a science project!

Also, a few days ago in English, we watched Rocky to go along with the novel that we just read. At first I was like "Well, I don't really like boxing...or sports in general." but as I kept watching I really thought that it was good (DUH SAILOR SW, TONS OF PEOPLE LOVE THE ROCKY MOVIES!) XD

Still, UIL UIL UIL UIL UIL!
I'm really nervous!

PLUS, the TAKS reading and math are coming soon, UGH! I just hate the TAKS test. Seriously, even some TEACHERS hate it (for those of you wondering what the hell the TAKS test is I'll tell you- it's my state's required test for public schools.) Oh well, I know that I'll pass it with flying colors, it's just that it is time-consuming!

Anyways, my dad is a total ass! He is so rude and mean, and when I try to fight back, he turns me into the bad guy when in reality, I'm the victim!

ANYWAYS, the dance was okay, but it was a RETRO dance, and they played new rap and Hanna Buttana shit, so that pissed my friend and I off. Yet, they did play some retro songs like RESPECT, Thriller, Shout, Shake Your Booty, Y.M.C.A.
I was wearing a really cool black zip-up leather-like jumper with a black shirt under it, long black socks, and black flat shoes. I got a lot of compliments (XD)!

I just hope that Sam and I will have a good time. I truely love him, and I know that he loves me too (Note: DON'T START SAYING "Awww..." AND SHIT, PLEASE!).

Plus I really don't need this shit right now because I have solo contest tomarrow, and I want to definitely make a 1 (that's the highest u can get) and get an Outstanding Soloist Award.
