Hi, guys! Time for a new journal update
So, my subscription is running out at the end of this month. I'm going to miss the pretty journals, LoL, but probably I won't buy another one, for the time being at least.
I keep on drawing every know and then. Nothing really worth of uploading, I've just made random sketches I don't feel like doing full illustrations or complex drawings right now, but I do feel happy doing things this way
I'm starting to revamp some of my old characters, and fleshing little by little some new characters too. Hm, I should make a nice character sheet and start filling it up, and eventually post it here _{if you don't steal any ideas}

Although I feel quite unmotivated still, I've bought a sketchbook. I don't want to force myself to draw, but I'll try to sketch stuff in a somewhat regular basis. I'll try to do some life drawing too, if I can manage it.

Recently I've started to read Rg Veda by Clamp, it's very cute and bishounen-ish. Since I've finished Death Note, I haven't read any other manga, and I was sort of missing it. _{I should pick some yaoi too}

Yeah, I don't know if I should call this semi-hiatus or not. I feel like I need to make a little pause on drawing. Well, not on drawing itself, but I don't feel like doing finished pieces now. It isn't an artblock, it's just that now doing complete illustrations seems boring and tiresome to me. I just feel now like doodling and sketching, and I feel also that I need a sort of "return to the basics": working on anatomy and poses, on backgrounds, on clothing folds, and so on. I think that I've neglected them too much, and that I should get better on my sketching abilities before I move on to the next step.
No, I'm not going to leave DA I'm going to be as active as usual, commenting and writing journals. I'll post some of my BJD photos, and perhaps I'll post some of my future sketches.

Hi there! How are you doing? I'll get holidays soon, so I'll have more time for learning Japanese (I have an exam at the beginning of December), and German, and of course more time for drawing too, hehe. I'm not drawing much at the moment, but it's like I have a bit of inspiration back. I'm thinking about something Tsuzuki and Muraki related, who were one of my favorite couples some time ago (in the most fluffly, AU, and OOC way you can ever imagine ), and some L-goodnes too.
By the way, could anybody recommend me any good manga series? I finished Death Note like this summer, and since then I haven't read any. Must finish Fruits Basket, though. Some of the series I like, so you can get a grasp of my tastes, are: Yami no Matsuei, Death Note, Fake, Gravitation, Clover, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Dominion. Concerning the art, I like this sort of crisp and clean style you can find on Death Note and Yami no Matsuei. About the plot, I'm open to almost everything. I'm not very fond of cliché-shoujo-stories (I had enough with Fruits Basket, I think ) Yaoi is ok, but only if the characters are grown up men. No schoolboys, please

It seems like I'm loosing interest on drawing... I can't think of any really interesting ideas, and if I find anything, I don't feel like finishing the picture. Oh noes Since I'm improving little by little in photography, it's like doing shoots of my dollie gets all my creativity, and I have nothing left for art, if that makes any sense
But no, I'm not going to stop drawing It'll be a very stupid thing for me to do, and I'm sure I'd regret it sooner of later. So I'll keep on art anyway, if I don't find inspiration, I'll just do sketches, which is a good thing too
LoL, I hope it doesn't sound like drama, 'cos it isn't, really I just feel like sharing my thoughs about it. Probably when I find a source of inspiration I'll start drawing like crazy again.

Now working in another Sweeney Todd picture, featuring Mrs. Lovett. Sometimes I feel a bit guilty 'cos I'm not drawing much original stuff lately , but Harry Potter and that film own my soul now...
By the way, probably I'll redo my Blood picture again. I wasn't entirely satisfied with its colouring, and the background is a total failure But I like a lot how the drawing itself turned out, so I wish to give it another try.

Sandalwood was already taken, so I added 01.

03. Do you use PC or Mac?
PC.

04. What programs do you use most often?
I draw mostly traditionally, but I use Photoshop for adding lettering, cleaning pictures, and things like that.

05. Do you use mouse, or tablet?
None of them

06. What color or color combinations do you find yourself using most often?
It depends... I like using pink, purple, blue, green, greenish blue, black a lot (not all together, of course )


07. What part of a picture do you put most effort into?
Sketching.

08. How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Difficult question... Sketching takes me 2-4 hours, inking around 1 hour, and colouring half an hour or so... It's hard to say 'cos I make many pauses.

09.Do you keep your rough drafts?
Yes.

10.What font do you use most often?
None.

11. When you scan your image, what DPI do you use?
300 dpi

12. Do you do anything else when you're drawing?
Listening to music.

13. Approximately how many pictures do you draw in a month?
2 or 3 finished pictures, and perhaps more sketches.
