DON'T LISTEN TO THE NEWS. THEY LIE.

when people found out i was going to israel, everyone asked if i was scared or told me to be careful, so i was expecting to enter some warzone ... and now that i've been there, i see that it isn't like that at all ... israel is an extremely beautiful and peaceful place ... we only hear about the few incidents of war that happen, so we see israel as some scary place, and it is not ... sure there are soldiers everywhere you go, but they are young and they are just going around the country like anyone else, plus the people like having them around everywhere and support they greatly ...

so anyway, about my trip, it was amazing ... i met great people and saw gorgeous places ... i covered myself in mud at the dead sea and hiked through a swamp ... it was just such a life-changing experience, especially meeting people from all sorts of backgrounds and seeing how alike we are ... also, the partying was great

so i'm back, with over 500 photos ... and i wish i was still back in israel with all those people that i got to know and love within those 10 days ... but it's over, and now i have the memories and the newly made friends ...

perhaps i will put up a photo or two, though i didn't take many artsy photos ... we shall see

so guess who came into the movie theatre right before the previews began ... well, did you guess? WRONG! it was willie brown!! our (not-so)-beloved mayor!!! heehee ... and someone yelled out 'we love you willie!' so he took off the hat that was covering his face and everyone saw him and hooted for him

so then, nick and i went to union square macy's for some food and guess who we saw right outside? it was this posse of people, and one guy took out a fucking huge wad of hundreds and gave some to another guy, so i was like OMG IS IT SOMEONE FAMOUS?! and it WAS!!! i recognized him from mtv (he was even wearing his tennis bandana headband thingy that he always wears!) ... so i couldn't remember his name, and now i came home and researched it a bit and i know why! i never knew his name! lol ... it was chopper from p diddy's DA BAND!! (in case you don't know who chopper is .... [link] he's the guy in the back on the left w/ the blue headband) ... this is the first time i've ever seen a celebrity (not counting robin williams since he lives here and gives out candy on halloween)!!! go me

not sure you like the idea of stem cell research? think about this:
1. stem cell research would ELIMINATE OUR NEED FOR ORGAN DONORS because we could grow organs for the specific people that need them. people would not have to wait dying in a hospital until there's an organ available, and there wouldn't be any fear of the organ not working in that person because we would grow the organ specifically for that person and their system.
2. stem cell research would ELIMINATE OUR NEED FOR PROSTHETIC LIMBS because we could just grow the limb that the person is missing right onto them. it would be like regeneration, but for humans!
3. stem cell research would MAKE PEOPLE FEEL BETTER ABOUT HAVING AN ABORTION because they would be helping someone else out. for example, if someone's son died in a car accident, it would make the family feel better knowing that the son's organs were donated to someone and helped someone else live. same with abortion. an aborted fetus would help the research and would provide the stem cells needed to grow an organ or limb for someone who needs it. so the woman having the abortion wouldn't hate herself for it. also, maybe stem cell research would make abortion a more accepted procedure. (and no, this all wouldn't cause more abortions because it's not going to change someone's mind about whether or not to kill their would-be child.)

if thanks to stem cell research done so far we can grow a full, real human ear on a mouse's back, just think of the possibilities!!!

well this past couple of days have been excellent! i've been quite happy ... not sick anymore, just a bit of a runny nose ... none of you guessed that i was thinking of scarlet (red would've sufficed) ...

i scored a 10 for my group on a quiz in bio lab today ... that's the most you could get, so *happiness*

i start school on wednesday! i'm actually kind of excited ... new people, new classes, new things to learn ... plus i'm taking all classes i think i'll like except one (which i hope will be fun too) ... for anyone who cares (or for myself, cuz i care! heehee) i'm taking calculus II, organic chemistry, biology + lab, critical thinking, and women in american history & society ... guess which class i'm NOT looking forward to!!!

and another thing ... i've got all these ideas for photos ... but with the gym and work and going to sleep late and waking up late and hanging out and stuff, i've no time nor energy nor inspiration to actually go out to take these photos ... plus all mah friends (girl friends) who are willing to model are up in santa cruz ... namely lisa and sophia (CRY, I MISS YOU GUYS!)

so all my ideas for photos are just sitting around ... yap ... i'm sick and tired of photos of me honestly ... though i've still got to take a couple of photos of my back w/ my tattoo for because well, i owe him at least a couple of photos lol ...

friday is zee graduation after party...
