I find myself in need of any extra money I can get since my job has cut me to part time, so I'm doing what I thought I would never get around to doing, opening commissions.

I'd like to keep things simple, so I'm only offering a few types o' art.

I'm also only opening one first-come-first-served slot at a time. This is to prevent people who have paid for art from waiting too long to get it, in addition to other things I won't get into here.

There will be no waiting list. Because of this, I will try to open slots in various time zones, so if you want one, keep an eye out here and in my Gaia signature.

Here's how this will work:

1) When the little tick below says "OPEN" next to it, I will be ready for action. Note me and tell me what type of art you would like. (Chibi, bust, waist-up, full body.) Don't tell me who you want me to draw, those kinds of details are for later, baby. All I want to establish at the start is who's fastest with the noting. I may open up e-mail or Gaia PM initiated slots at some point in the future, but for now you need the ability to note me here to place an order.

2) I will note you back a form to fill out telling me all those tasty details.

3) You will pay me in full using PayPal. There will be no partial payments. If you don't trust me, don't buy my goodies.

4) I will get crackin'.

5) I will note you a sketch.

6) You will approve or disapprove of this sketch.

7) Steps 5 and 6 might happen another few times, but no more than three total.

8) I will note or email you your finished piece.

9) We will smile.

Here are my prices, in American dollars:

Monochromatic chibi (x): $2
You may specify an eye color and the color of the rest of the image. Technically, I should call these duo-colored chibis, but whatever. The one you actually get will be better than the example, I just don't have an example of the betterness yet.

Bust (x | x): $5

Waist-up (x): $10

Full body (x): $15

Large wings are only allowed on Waist-up and Full body pieces and cost an extra $5. All wings will be stylized in chibi art and may end up smaller than they are in-character.

You may only request one picture at a time, but each picture may have up to three people in it, as long as they are interacting in some way. For two people, double the price. For three people, triple it. Yay math.

I had like seven of them all nice and written out in a book because I was actually trying to think of semi-interesting things, but that book has been lost in this giant pile on the floor next to my desk. So, sadly, now I'm just going to blaze through it. Who knows, this might be more entertaining.

20 things about me that are true

1. Man, I love me some Chipotle. I'm eating a barbacoa burrito bol right now and it is crazy delicious.
2. I slammed my right thumb in a car door when I was like 6 or something. It's not that noticable, but the nail is all thick and split underneath the surface. Way to follow food with crusty nail stories. Yay!
3. I've only produced about 4 creativity-related things in my life that I've actually liked.
4. My two PCs and thumb drive are named Scott, And, and Steve, to make 'Scott And Steve,' those two guys from Lost. My video camera's name is Leon, and my still digital camera is called Hoban.
5. I used to really really really like NSync. It wasn't even a closet obsession. I went to one of their concerts and had all kinds of dumbass memorabilia. I still probably do, in fact. Un. Comfortable.
6. I hate parties and have never had a willing drink of alcohol since I was a kid when I sipped my father's Heineken because he offered it to me. Frickin nasty.
7. I love pens and fancy papers. Right now I'm trying to find the rest of a set called Handi Pens. If someone knows where you can get them that isn't Korea, tell me and I won't murder your family.
8. I really don't like tourists. I would write a book on what not to do when you vacation in a large city, but I think I would be jailed for threatening language.
9. I love DisneyWorld and Disneyland. If I had ever been to Disneyland Paris or Tokyo Disneysea or Hong Kong Disneyland I'm sure I would love them too. If Disney had some sort of deal where they would buy all the electronic equipment a person could ever want, I would work for them in a heartbeat. This is strange to me because see #8.
10. I have a new unhealthy obsession with The Chronicles of Narnia.
11. I went to a school that offered degrees in video game design. They call themselves the Harvard of video game design. How pretentious.
12. I love the songs "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" no matter who sings them. Why? Who the hell knows.
13. I bought a Floppy Gator at Build-A-Bear today and his name is Pevensie. See #10.
14. My current favorite Broadway show is the revival of Sweeney Todd, followed closely by Monty Python's Spamalot. I lurve me some Broadway.
15. I will eat chocolate in nearly any form and I have the adult acne to prove it! EW TMI!!!!
16. I curse a lot.
17. I also don't like people very much. They have their moments, and I like them more if they're not tourists (see #8) but I still don't like them very much at all.
18. I just got a new game for Christmas called Indigo Prophecy. Man, it's awesome.
19. I used to know someone (she died) who claimed to be descended from Virginia Dare. That was one of those Roanoke people, right? Is that even possible??? Isn't that the story of the PEOPLE WHO FRICKIN DISAPPEARED?
20. Manatees rock.
