first thing I've read on dA today was a journal by my homeboy :icontfdc: about one of his old logos being ripped by some whackass car decal company. that totally sucks, even thou this one was also kinda funny IMO. At least he got his logo printed on fresh cars, lol.

I am currently trying to create my portfolio page and since I want some extra freshness to be added, I might need some minor coding advice/help/support. If anyone would like to help me (it ain't that much work, really...), just hit me up.
As I want to add some eye candy, I decided to go with jquery. Would be cool if some of you are familiar with it and could give me a hand.

short summary of my trip:

Singapore - awesome, artificial, expensive, chinese, delicious and sooo freaking hot!!!

Malaysia - soooo much better than I'd expected. Kuala lumpur kicks ass. I have to check KL out again some day! great people, great culture, great sights, great shopping.

Indonesia - Bali has so many great places to check out. I loved Ubud and the surrounding sights, Seminyak was great, too. as the title of this journal already revealed, I will be the Supa-lucky-Pinz travelling to New York City for a few days in April. Me and my girl found very cheap flights and spontaneously decided to go for it. Hoorays!!! This will be my first time in the states.

I am currently enjoying my holidays in southeast asia. after spending a few days on the lovely island of phuket in thailand, me and my girl moved to saigon, vietnam for two days. i am sorry but i must say that saigon sucks hard! most of the city is dirty, even many of the few sights. people of saigon are very unfriendly and only interested in money and cigarettes. that's what i felt, at least. i really expected more from this 10 million city...
anyway. after these two days we moved on to seee the beach of Nha Trang which is a lot better than the city life we encountered before.

guess what, Ima go on holiday vacation starting by tomorrow.

We´re gonna head from Frankfurt to Bangkok (Thailand fyi) and then towards Phuket and stay there for about five days. Just chill out at the beach, you know.  After that we will move to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC, better known as Saigon, in Vietnam) over Bangkok and make a sponatneous backpacker roundtrip through vietnam for about 12 days. Then it´s time to move back to Bangkok again, stay there for 6 more days and find an appartement for my girlfriend who is gonna work in bangkok for the following two months.

I will be back at october 17.

as I told you before I was participating in a logo design contest.
Today they chose the winner and it was not me :(

well okay, i din´t really expect to win this - there were 406 submissions. I sent in 3 designs.

I should be really happy because i made the second place - hooray!!!
Usually I´m not a bad loser. The best should win. But when i saw the winning logo i really got angry because in my oppinion it is not a good logo. and when you look at the shape of the icon you might recognize that the circles are not even round - that´s bad work I think.

I got news. I just got myself a new monitor - and it´s HUGE!!!
It´s a 24 inch Belinea o.display 4.1 in white.

Until yesterday I worked on my liyama 17 inch beautiful grey gaylord screen.

just to let you know...I´m finally back from my short trip to italy now.

What can I say? It was some good but also some bad experiences I made. As I mentioned in my previous journal this was the first time after 9 whole years for me to go to that part of south italy again where my fathers family lives.
The good part was just seeing all of my family again after so much. To see how they´ve changed and to just talk about life. Refreshing my italian was also quiet positive.
Nevertheless it wasn´t all sugar and candy. I just wanna tell you peeps that I have got a Nintendo DS (with R4 - which is the best fucking thing you can buy for you DS) and many cool games but not a single "friend" for online games.
Right now I quit with Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Phoenix Wright) and started playing Zelda - Phantom Hourglass which has got a real awesome multiplayer mode I´d like to play with you :D

right now I'm chillin in one of Bangkoks internet cafes. It's pretty full inside because midterm break vacation started and school children play online games everyzwhere.

I gotta say that I really enjoy my holidays here in Thailand.
First I was staying one week on the beautiful island Phuket in a really great small family style hotel. Me and my girl had lots of fun playing with monkeys on a hill temple.
