*cracks some more bones* Ahh much better... alright where to begin...

*collects thoughts*

So where to begin? Lemme see, a while back my sister invited me, my mother and my brother up to Titusville (home of oil) for a couple of days visit and a couple of hours of horse back riding and canoing. Being someone who wants to be more active then I currently am I pounced on the oppurtunity!

I mean come on, how often does one ride a horse!

DAY 1 -> Travel Day

So Friday afternoon I started the trek up to Titusville, PA ... was only supposed to be a 3-ish hour long drive that turned into a nearly 5hr long drive, due to construction and heavy rains ... ah well could have been worse. Spent that first day hanging with family, my sister and her husband. Ate some awesome food at a place called "Perks Place" ... fantastic Philly Cheese Steaks!!!! *drools*

We headed back to my sisters house and played a few games till late in the evening then went four wheeling through a quarry and forest. Freak'n flying around a quarry rim... in the middle of the night, is a tad hair raising.

DAY 2 -> Giidy Up Little Doggy

Up bright and early for an hour long drive to the stables for our horse back riding. Weather was crappy but they were only calling for a 30% chance of rain that day, so we weren't worried (at the time).

We make it to the stables and they tell us that it'll be a leisurely hour/1hr 30min long trek through the forest. Being this my first time on a horse... I wasn't to upset that I couldn't gallop through a field . They stuck my sister on the smallest horse (which she wasn't to pleased with). We found out later why they stuck her on the horse... but I'll leave that bit out. They stuck my mother on the largest stallion they could find... WHICH WAS HILARIOUS, and then I waited for my turn...

and waited....

and waited....

Until I was the last person to be picked... brought back fantastic dodge ball memories! XD They actually had to pull up another horse from the stable because they didn't know they had so many riders. I ended up with "Blaze". He was our group leaders favorite horse. Chase, was what everyone called him, gave me quite the lecture on that I better treat his horse well (he gave the same lecture to the horse).

They warned us that the horses were well feed, however; they would eat any tall grass they saw and they asked us to stop them from doing it. Chase pointed out to me that his horse liked to test his rider and if I gave him any leway I would be done for.

So we were off! Saw some great scenery amazing forests and it was just awesome to be riding on top of a horse! As predicted, blaze gave me some light hassel. If I so much as looked away he would try to eat grass. I fiddled with my pack, to get out the camcorder, and blaze turned his head towards me to see what I was doing. Sure enough, the second he saw I was distracted he went for the grass! Man I knew horses were smart... but you can tell they're smarter and more cleaver then most people think!

About halfway through our trip it started to rain... hard! Most people were grumbling... heck even the horses got in line and traveled at a steady pace, however; I rather enjoyed the cold heave down pour. It just felt good to be alive

About the time we pulled the horses up to the stable the rain had eased. I felt fine, through the whole ride, but when I dismounted... yeah you can feel it. It was just a quick sharp pain... but no wonder people get saddle sore...

My mother, whom couldn't get off her horse, provided us with more endless entertainment. When she got off she couldn't walk quite right. She was walking around the horse in a manner that looked like she was still on the horse (bowed legs). God It reminded me of a sheriff at high noon scene. God bless my mother, she's just great.

So the rain continued, however; we decided "what the hell!" lets do the canoes in the rain! They looked a little odd at us but they took us 4 miles up stream for our little canoe trip. Just as we launched from the shore... the rain stopped. We had about 1hr 30min of just wonderful weather... little cloudy and no rain. We were so happy we took the canoes out. Me personally... I like kayaks better (easier to maneuver) but the canoe was fun. Lots of fun mixed with pain

Was fun but now I am in a lot of pain, will give you the scoops after I rest for a little while.

Was hoping to have started/finished some more art, but you know how life is... it's always getting in the way.

I'll be gone for the next couple of days, going on a trip up north for horseback riding and canoeing. Should be fun!

Don't destroy the place while i'm gone!
