I think I've improved a lot over those years, even if I'm still not very good in the grand scheme of things.

My colouring is, I think, the thing that has improved the most. My proportions have improved quite a bit, too, although my hands and feet are still awful.

New Trials is still my most prolific subject, but Yuffentine has made a come back today!

I may just buy a subscription to celebrate 4 years of dA membership! I've threatened a few times (adverts...I hate adverts) but I have another reason, now!

Unfortunately, my scanner ALSO doesn't work with Vista. So I'm stuck doing sketchwork directly onto the computer, instead of working from a pencil sketch.

I've sketched a new Sakura picture and a Sakura/Syaoran one, but I already don't like the Sakura/Syaoran one...I also have ideas in my head for one Yuffie/Vincent picture (I did a inked drawing a while back but it needs redoing), a Sakura, Tomoyo and Meilin linked set of pictures and a few characters based on New Trials (I found some old sketches the other day and one I liked muchly-may upload it later).

I'm really disliking some of my older pictures now (even some of my newer ones). I think I'm getting too picky, but there is so much good art around that mine pales in comparison! I also installed my snazzy new A3 scanner today! Yeay! (Hence the sudden upload of three pictures). It only cost me £80 and it scans quite well (better than my Dad's HP 4 in 1 printer/scanner/copier/fax thing anyway!).

I have two complex pictures in the works. I'm CGing a picture of Vincent and Yuffie in DC clothes (I've already posted the line art) and I've inked a picture of Sakura and Syaoran ready to Copic when my new markers arrive.

The Vincent/Yuffie one I haven't done anything to in 2/3 weeks (since I finished putting all the base colours in). I've been busy at work, but I really should get working on it again before I never finish it and waste the 20 odd hours I've already spent on it.

The Sakura/Syaoran one is a redesign of a previous pose (Sakura in front of Syaoran with Sakura holding her staff behind Syaoran's head and Syaoran holding his sword in front of Sakura's body). I've improved the pose and features (Sakura is no longer anorexic although Syaoran still looks younger than I want him too!) and given them new costumes (the most complex costumes I've drawn). What I am currently scratching my head about is how to trace/copy/scan my latest picture. Why? I drew it on A3 paper instead of A4. It looks great because it bigger and I could get all the detail in, and it's probably big enough to copic well...but my scanner is an A4 scanner. I might take it into work and borrow the photocopier. I can at least reduce it to A4 size so I can scan it in (if I'm lucky I might be able to feed A3 paper into it so I can copy it to copic it without having to touch the original).

I have small feet (UK size 4 EU size 37) so I buy childrens socks. Childrens socks in that size tend to be pink.

Imagine the shop assistant's face when I brought a pair of pink thermal girls socks to wear when I drive my forklift truck at work!

Yeap, I drive a forklift! That in itself tends to amuse people (since I'm 4'11" tall, female, petite and feminine). But the pink socks are a little too much for some! I swear the mans eyes were bugging out!

Yeap, I paid an extortionate amount of money for the full blown Advent Pieces collection!

But AC is so stunning, I'm glad I updated by graphics card to a top of the range model not to long ago, because I was able to take advantage of my top notch computer to drool over the DVD instead of having to negotiate time with my parents to watch a non-english language/subtitled on the main TV.

I WILL however make them watch it when it's released in English. They aren't too interested in Anime or games (although I have made them sit through enough FF playing for them to recognise most of the items that appear-nothing is weirder than my 60 year old Dad telling me I need to use a pheonix down on a fainted character or an ether on a character that's run out of magic) but they WILL watch it (and my Dad will probably enjoy it a little-he likes it when I make Cloud use omnislash so I'm sure he'll enjoy the full blown AC version of it!).

Oh, and as a Cloti fan, I LOVED the ending! I know the triangle is still open is some peoples eyes but, in my opinion, Cloti is highly favoured.

Not that we normally need to BEG for rain, but a nice washed out Oval test match would bring the Ashes home! :-D

What am I saying, the Oval test match is gonna be the greatest Cricket test of all time! Win or Lose! Bring it on! (Okay, maybe not win or lose, win or draw for certain!).

Vincent is too good looking for my own good! Making me want to draw him!

I may get back to the CCS fandom soon though...eventually...I do have at least one picture planned! (Although the urge to draw Yuffentine is only slowed by lack of creativity at the moment!).

Just like my CCS work is inspired by one fanfic (New Trials) my FFVII work is also inspired by one fanfic (Faith and Feather). Perhaps I need a new fanfic to give me a new fandom to draw for! (Or new chapters from either story to feed my inspiration! ::hint::hint:: LOL!) ]]> *selenityshiroi
