I've been trying to get out to home depot for THREE WEEKS so I can get the stuff to make my sister's birthday present. None of my car-friends have been able to take me, and the bus schedule doesn't lend itself to the life of a student- it's starting to look like I won't get this thing made at all, and it's really pissing me off since I've been planning this for months and, once I have the materials in hand, building it won't take me more than three hours or so. I thought I'd have a ride today but they left without me, so....yeah.

Sorry, sis. Enjoy your 30th without a contribution from me.

Ashlee Saysa: commision information can be found here! [link]

Just a quick notice to let folks know that I am now accepting commissions.

I will work in colored pencil, marker or digital; pricing depends on the detail of the image in question and, in the case of natural media, the cost of the materials.

Both fanart and original characters are acceptable. I'll draw anything but mechas, furries or porn. (softcore yaoi OK)

Please allow AT LEAST two weeks for a commission to be completed, three weeks in the case of colored pencil. I am in art school after all, and I've gotta make time for my homework too. ;
All completed commissions will be scanned and emailed to you. To request a commission, please contact me at Awilli30@student.scad.edu with the word COMMISSION as the subject.

I really hate people at this school sometimes.

The event that has incited my rage today is that on Saturday, a girl I know said she was going to the mall and asked if I needed anything.

"Sure!" I said. "You know what I'd love? An A/V cable! Can you see if Best Buy has one, since they're the only techie store around here, and Walmart is too far away?"

"Sure!" She said.

"How nice!" I thought, hanging up.

Fast forward to yesterday.

I go make some unrelated request from her roomate, and she hands me the cable.

"18 dollars." Says she.

WHAT THE FUCK?! Why on Earth would anyone buy an A/V cable that expensive and not ask the person who would be paying for it if they actually wanted it? Seriously, if push came to shove I would've found a way to walmart and picked it up for eight dollars; I would NEVER spend that much on such a cheap piece of equipment.

I accept the package, grim faced, and decide to call my father and ask what he thinks.

"AV cable?" Says he? "Why, we've got a pile of those here! Would you like me to send you one?"

*facepalm*

Long story short, I agree to this new arrangement and decide to tell the girl that I want to return the one she bought. I explain the situation to her, and she gives this dull, hateful look and says, "You want me to go all the way back to Best Buy?"

Why yes as a matter of fact, think I. After all, you may have bought it, but it's STILL MY MONEY, and I'm not paying for this shit. And considering it was only last night you said that you'd be happy to return it if it wasn't what I needed, I don't see what the problem less than twenty four hours later, aside from the fact that I'm sure you now see a perfect opportunity to get twenty dollars.

"I can get there myself," Says I. "I just need the reciept."

"Sorry, I paid for it on my credit card."

Um...if you're buying something for someone, and you know it may or may not be what they need, then what sense is it to put it on a credit card if you know you don't feel like helping them return it if there's a problem? At this point I wanted to crack her nose in half, but I continue with perfect calm--

"Well, I don't need it. What am I supposed to do with it?"

"You can get store credit." She says.

Yes, thank you. Store credit at Best Buy, which I never shop at because everything there is ridiculously expensive. Before you all start harping at me for being contradictory, refer to point 1: If I had known how much that cable was going to cost, I would NEVER had bought it. EVER. I figured at the very least Best Buy could pull out a cheap-o brand cable for ten bucks or less, but apparently not.

Anyway, long story short, the girl got her precious twenty dollars(18 plus tax), because if I'd spent another second in that room I would've kicked her face in. I am now stuck with a far too costly piece of equipment that I can only pray someone will be willing to buy off of me, because if no one does I am going to find a very large mallet and stake and hammer it to her door.

...Bitch.

Point number two has to do with my usual roomate issues. I am amazed at how rude she is to my friends. People will try and talk to her and she'll stare at them like she's crazy. Mind you she does that to me too, but I've got 80 pounds and 18 years of pent-up angry black girl that will guarantee her the strangling of a lifetime if I ever see her looking cross-ways at me. But to do that to my friends? Nah. I draw the line there.

Frankly, I think her problem is that she resents the fact that she couldn't get a room with her friend, and as retaliation she decided to make the room situation unbearable for anyone who was unfortunate enough to be stuck with her. I would've switched roomates, but that would have involved me moving out all of my stuff and going who-knows-where, and to be frank, I'm quite happy with the placement and size of my room. I'd rather go through the rest of the year hating every breath she takes than give up my view of downtown. *shrugs*

And that's my rant for the day. I'm off to do laundry, or punch babies. I haven't decided yet. If you hear about me on the six o' clock news, then it was the latter.

They cancelled Kim Possible? DISNEY, YOU BASTARDS! I WILL KEEEEEL YOU!

*cries*

But it was such an awesome show! I mean...how could they? How could they? Especially after that movie! I mean, the ending--! GAH! It was great! Those who saw KP: So the Drama know what I'm talking about. It can't end there, they can't LET it end there. Ugh, I really, really, REALLY hate the Mouse House.

...For those who don't know what I'm talking about, apparently Disney has a 65 Episode rule for all its shows, curteousy of Mr. Eisner. And for NO REASON other than the fact that it's reached 65 episodes, Kim Possible will be cancelled. I had no idea about this rule until tonight, but as I went through TV Tome and looked at the length of all the Disney series I could think of, preschool ones included, the number remained the same: 65 episodes.

It disgusts me. They kill perfectly good shows well before their time to meet some episode limit? What kind of marketing strategy is that? What network in thier right mind doesn't milk a show that popular until it's as dry as a the Sahara? They're crazy, crazy I tell you!

Hopefully Disney changes by the time I graduate college, because my damned inner child who grew up with Peter Pan, Hercules and Mulan won't let me give up my dream of working with them. Though at this point Disney has taken that dream and crapped on it. Repeatedly. Gah.

OMG I GOT ACCEPTED TO SCAD W00T!

Hm. Yes. A translation is in order.

Oh, my goodness. It seems that I have been accepted to the Savannah College of Art and Design, which was my first choice for a school. Rejoice.

On an unrelated side note, is anyone else watching My Dad the Rock Star? Because I really, really, really LOVE that show. I think it has something to do with the fact that the main character's father, Rock Zilla, bears an eerily close resemblance to the cartoon version of Beetlejuice. And their characters aren't too far apart, either. It's just that Rock's zaniness is tempered by the fact that he's a father, too, and Beetlejuice doesn't have much of a reason to stop being zany, ever. Still, Rock Zilla is hilarious.

In fact the episode-by-episode plot of this show is a lot stronger than anything Nick's managed to come up with on it's own. It helps, I suppose, that this show is an import from Canada. ;

I strongly suggest that everyone watch this show at least once. It comes on at 5:30, right after Spongebob. I must admit, thanks to MDtRS, my opinion of Nickelodeon is steadily improving. If Avatar: The Last Airbender manages to be as good as it sounds, then Nick will have earned itself a new regular viewer.

Now if only they can fiddle with Danny Phantom a bit...that show's got serious potential, but the episode plots need a bit more meat to them, in my opinion. I like the characters overall, Danny in particular, but I feel that so much more can be done with the ghost boy concept. I don't know; that strikes me as the kind of show that would benefit from a splash of darkness every now and then. But blame that on my manga obsession, I suppose. *shrugs*

I'm currently balancing between two fandoms, actually- Beetlejuice and the Meredith Gentry series. The former has been on the backburner for a while and several new ideas have surfaced, while the latter is a recent obsession aided by the fact that the series is chockfull of yumalicious pretty boys and a brilliant (if somewhat sadistic) queen who I've officially dubbed the awesomest character, ever.

She had to beat out Crowley for that position, damnit, and Crowley is my baby. It takes a lot to ursurp a thousands-year-old snake demon with a razor wit, a twisted sense of humor and a 1920's Bentley in mint condition from his throne, you know.

No doubt fanart for her will be forthcoming. She's got some very good scenes in the book. And she wears elaborate gothic-type clothing, which is good, because I've got about four issues of the Gothic and Lolita Bible that have been begging for some attention, and I definitely need the practice.

Also, expect me to have a website at some point in the future. I've got some...risque works that aren't exactly DA friendly, but they need to go somewhere. All this eventually, I assure you...

Bah! There's nothing more frustrating than having no one in your school of the yaoi mindset. Whilst innocently doodling some yaoi in my school sketchbook- which is probably very unwise given that people flip through it at least once a week, but eh, to hell with them- someone commented on my picture of dear Toshiya from Dir En Grey, and I in turn said he was hot, and given that it was a picture of Toshi-chan in one of his girlier moments (yeah, I know, when does he NOT have a girlier moment?) I immedietly got several strange looks from around the table.

DAMN YOU PEOPLE! No one can appreciate the infinite sexiness of a boy in drag. ESPECIALLY pretty boys. They're just so flexible and delicate and infinitely devourable....mmmm. Like Seliez from Vampire Game, or Count D from Petshop of Horrors; both of them extremely tasty boys, who look even tastier (is that possible?) when sauntering about in kimonos with the big bows and the long flowing hair and the ARG! Now I need to go read some yaoi manga to cleanse my mind. Yes, that seems like it ought to be a contradiction, but trust me, it isn't. ^^;;

The artwork was good, though the backgrounds seemed a little too...I don't know...well, maybe it was that the bears weren't detailed enough for the background, or something. The whole movie I was paying more attention to the scenery than the bears. O_o Not that it didn't have a good story, but...it's what you'd expect from a Disney movie. No more, no less. Duzzel/Rishas fanart, Vampire Game
Drawings and profiles for all my characters
And some things on my "Like to do but I don't have time list"
Darres/Yuujin fanart, Vampire Game
The first few pages of my RSOM entry, which is as of yet untitled
A group shot of boys in drag from several of my favorite manga series
Artwork to the Garbage song "Queer"
It's funny, and sad. ^^;;

Seriously, though, I'm not quite sure how to handle this one. No amount of mansex doodles and/or viewing which is usually all it takes to cleanse my mind of other males, has helped. And trust me, given the amount of yaoi on my computer, that's a BAD sign. I am torn between wanting to squeeeeeeze him until he squeals like a piggy and his face turns all priffly blue and all the air goes out of his lungs and he wilts like a flower in the sun and dies, or wanting to grab him by the neck, shake him like a ragdoll, and drag him back to my cave, where I will proceed to cackle like a woman possessed, then proceed to slowly scuggle him to death.

Or, you know, I could skip the whole Fatal Attraction scenario thing and just flirt and admire him from afar. It all depends on how long it takes for my tranquilizer darts to get here. ^_~

*****HARRY POTTER SPOILERS AHEAD******

Finished the book! *dances* Actually, I finished it at about 4:15 Monday afternoon. yup.

So, my thoughts on the ending. I wasn't really that concerned or suprised when Sirius died. His behavior in the book was a little too much like a toddler for me, and frankly, I find his character boring. The whole "Order of the Pheonix" seemed a little dull to me, except for when they do the rescue in the end.

Which leads me to the battle in the ministry. It was fantastic up until the order arrives. Harry and Friends put up an excellent fight, especially Neville Longbottom. I was actually very surprised by their performances; obviously the D.A. suceeded in its mission, at least to some extent. I wonder if it's against the rules for kids to teach at Hogwarts?

And last but not least, the scene where Dumbledore tells Harry the prophecy. I was kind of apathetic about it at the beggining, but when Dumbledore starts talking about love I could just feel the sympathy starting to ooze. It's very touching that scene, especially since it gives you a very in-depth look at the mind of Dumbledore and the grandfatherly relationship he has with Harry. It was incredibly sweet, especially when Dumbledore cries in the end...I was sniffling by that point too. Yes, I'm one of those people who cries about books. Get over it. ;P

Hm...I'd say that's about it. After that everthing trails off into Harry's homecoming. I do have one question, though: Who won the house cup? I realize in the scale of things how incredibly unimportant this is, which is probably why J.K. Rowling chose not to include it, but I'm still curious. It's probably Slytherin, since Umbrige was showering them with points every day. Ah well. Win some, lose some. I love how Rowling captured the empty feelings Harry had in the end, what with his godfather dying and the prophecy. His emotions were handled well in the book, and while I felt that he went off the handle a bit too much in the beggining, it was justified, so I can't really blame him for it. *shrugs*

On a side note, if you enjoy the Harry Potter series I strongly suggest you read the So You Want to be a Wizard series by Diane Duane. The first book of each series are similar plotwise in that the main character(s) discover magic, discover that there's a whole society dedicated to magic, and then the characters are pitted against a powerful dark force.

The similarities end there, however. Diane Duane's stories get darker at a much faster rate, and the magic in her books involves no wand-waving or magic words. It's a carefully thought out system of spells involving a language called the Speech, which enables you to speak to just about anything living or otherwise. In addition, the characters don't use magic to make their own lives easier; they use it to fight the the Lone Power, a god who helped create the universe but was cast out for making death and Entropy, the great death of the universe. Diane Duane paints a detailed, mind-bending and action-filled story that can turn from relaxed to humourous to tragic at any turn. They're well worth the read, so check it out! ******
Bravo, Weasly twins. BRAVO. Hands down, the best scene in the book so far is the Twin's fantastic exit from the school, complete with the announcement of their joke shop. I don't know if you can feel proud for a book charcter, but..*sniffles* I'M SO PROUD OF YOU TWO! Not to mention quivering with joy at the thought of the seizure's Umbrige is going to have in reaction to this whole fiasco. God, I love the Weasly twins- but Mrs. Weasly is going to flip. O_o

And professor Mcgonogall...I was hoping she was going to leap and Umbrige and start strangling her during the career interview. But the argument was great, she definitely put Umbrige in her place- I'm just hoping that she doesn't get sacked for it. *glares are Umbrige* Stupid ministry bitch...and Percy! That traitor He's another one who deserves a good slapping around. How could he betray his family, his entire ubringing like that? God, he's such an awful person...a real asshole, worse than Harry's dad in that flashback in the pensieve. *shakes head*

Anyway, I've got to get back to reading. I stayed up till four in the morning reading last night, baby. Sleep, you say? SLEEP IS FOR QUITTERS! I figure I'll have the book done by late afternoon if I skip breakfast...hm...******
Yeah, I can tell this year is going to be EXTREMELY good. I'm already ready and rarin' to roll up my sleeves and beat the crap out of some of those Hogwarts kids...how dare they treat Harry that way! But I shan't elaborate on it, for you unfortunate souls who haven't started reading it yet. My only complaint so far is that the beginning drags on a bit while Harry's with the Order of the Phoenix...again, I can't elaborate, it'll ruin it for you. Let's just say that the attitude towards Harry in the end of Goblet of Fire has carried on into this one, and it's raging full force. *shakes head* CURSE YOU DAILY PROPHET!
Gah! I can't believe what I did today! One of my boy-friends likes one of my girl-friends, which I think is positively adorable. But as it turns out, today yet another boy-friend of mine confided in me that he likes her as well. And me, agreeable cheese-monkey that I am, said to him almost EXACTLY the same thing I said to the first guy. Woops.

And now I feel so guilty about it! If the first guy finds out he'll feel so betrayed. Then again, I don't know how either of them reached the conclusion that I was the relationship confidant. I plan on being single well into my adult life, so I don't know if I'm the best one to consult about romance. Unless of course you're looking for some pessimistic, man-hating, heart-stomping, "this is real life" type of advice, in which case line on up ladies and gent's!

Yeah, but...yeah. Personally, I think the second guy would get along better with her. They've got similar interests. But then again he calls her "sexy" on a daily basis, so that might not be flyin' with her. ^^;;

Enough about my silly High School dramas! While I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of anime fans in my school, I have yet to find one who shares my level of dedication (obsession). But there may be hope! I've been lending a friend of mine copies of Mars in exchange for Cowboy Bebop ones, and today we somehow got into a conversation on whether or not Kira and Rei of Mars would ever have sex. Generally, when you start exploring the mind in the gutter topics it's a good sign you're what I'd consider an obsessed fan. Now if only I could find a fanfic writer or a website owner, I'd be absolutely ecstatic...******

*SPOILERS AHOY!*

I finally saw the Matrix: Reloaded yesterday, and all I can remembering thinking while watching the film was: I wonder if I'll get a chance to see X2 again this week?

Something about the sequel seemed too...fast-paced to live up to its predecessor. I think the problem lay in the film's composition. In the first one, the concept of the Matrix, the machines, unplugged humans, etc, was laid out gradually throughout the film, so you had at least a basic grasp on what was going on. In this one, the Matrix philosophy was crammed into three or four sentences between lengthy action sequences and a long, complicated, and far too accelerated speech between Neo and The Architect. Given more time I might have been able to understand it, but all I was really able to grasp of their conversation was that choice was an illusion and Neo's existance is necessary to restart the Matrix, the latter of which makes no sense to me at all. Don't get me wrong, the Matrix WAS a good movie. It just seemed to me that rather than carefully plotting out the Matrix philosophy to make it more understandable to their audience, it turned into a case of: "Now that we've gotten through all the flashy action sequences and steamy sex scenes, let's see how much of a REAL plot we can squeeze into this thing!"

Yeah, that's really how I feel. I know, Matrix fans will probably scream at me for degrading the movie, but they'll get over it. ^^;;

On a side note, I am confused on one subject: Did the Twins die or not? In response to a comment I posted someone said they hadn't, but I distinctly remember one twin being consumed by flames and the other attempting to escape by going wraith, but the explosion wraps his torso and he fries too. Not to mention their painful, agonized screams. Those are hard to fake.

On a SIDE side note, I'm completely obsessed with Nightcrawler now. Nighty and Storm, the best couple in that movie. I hope they flesh out that relationship in the 3rd flick, 'cause there's definitely chemistry between those two. I am determined to see that movie again before it goes out of theaters here. I MUST! It's my duty as a kurt/ororo shipper to see all the sweet scenes between those two twice so I can over-analyze them and create three-page long theories based on about ten minutes of screen time. And to catch all the parts I missed while I was taking a tinkle. ^^;;

Ah yes, summer. The flirting of spring is giving way to passionate lust; teenagers, college students, and just about anyone under 40 stand with money clutched in hand, eagerly awaiting the summer movie rush; those who can afford it are tearing their hair out as they plan for vacation time, and the western hemisphere is settling for what's pretty much a 2 1/3 month's party.

I'm in a very good mood today, and I don't know why. Probably has something to do with this being the first day in weeks that Heat Miser has blessed this dreary part of Northern Cal. with anything resembling summer weather. It might have something to do with that all-over tingly feeling I have after having finished the 2nd issue of Mars. Or it could just be that I'm rocking slowly back in forth in my chair, visions of nightcrawler dancing in my head.

I want to draw! I want to color! I want to CG! I want Kurt to whip me with that delightfully apposable tail of his! I mean,um, er....none of you heard that.

Yes. I'm just in a very pleased mood today. I'm unburdened by the horrible issues I was suffering from last week; yesterday saw the end of yet another god-awful season of survivor and I can look forward to seeing the face of my darling Clay Aikens tommorow. Yes, I'm "Aiken" for you Clay. Hehe. Marvel at my amazing wit.

If you'll excuse me, I'm off to pollute my sketchbook with doodles of Kurt Wagner (aka nightcrawler) and Rei Kashino from Mars. God he's hot. *drools*******
I'm going to Costco on Saturday to buy it; if the other one ever does come, I'll have to return it and lose S+H; effing post office; can't get their lame act together. I mean really, they have NO CLUE how to run their business. I called the main post office down the street today to find out the policy for late deliveries. Here's a transcript of the conversation.

Me: Hello, um, I was wondering what the policy for late deliveries shipped standard mail is?

Lady: ....um....there is no late policy, miss. We can't guarantee a delivery date.
Me:........(thinking: WTF?!)......Oh. Ok. Thank you.
Lady: Ya huh.
Like I said yesterday, never ship via the US Postal Service. They'll screw you over every time. I've had things shippped MEDIA MAIL, the slowest of all their crappy services, that arrived earlier than this DVD, shipped STANDARD MAIL, which I understand is a step down from priority. Never again will I waste my hard-earned money on them; I'll spring the extra buck or two for FedEX or Ups, of even better, Pre-order it from the store and buy it. I hope all my mail people- minus the nice guy who I used to see on my way home from school- die. ******
So would someone tell me WHY THE FUCK it's one week later and my DVD still isn't here? THE SHIPPING IS SUPPOSED TO TAKE 3-7 DAYS! THEY'VE HAD A DAMN LONG ENOUGH TIME TO GET IT HERE! I COULD HAVE GONE TO THE COSTCO HALF AN HOUR AWAY AND BOUGHT THE DAMN VIDEO TEN TIMES OVER BY NOW! I swear, if it's not here by tommorow or friday, I don't care WHAT my parents say, I'm calling the post office and complaining. Loudly. With much vulgarity stirred into the mix.
Just as the title says. I am a yaoi fangirl. Honestly, I don't know when it happened. It all started off innocently enough, back when I used to watch DBZ; at the peak of my obession, I happened across a few fics that suggested- of all people- that Vegeta and Goku should be a couple. At first I was horrified; Vegeta and Goku? Um, no! But then, slowly but surely, I got used to the idea; hell, I even read a fic or two about them. And then that fic or two became five or ten, then ten or thirty, and the rest, as they say, is history.

And now I've reached the point where I can't watch an anime show without picking out two hot guys and spending every episode compiling a list of proof as to why they belong together. My sketchbook is filled with long haired men smooching on like, every page. And if they're not smooching they're in bondage. Or they're getting their freak on. I mean, there are so many, it's scary. *shakes head*

It's not that I don't LIKE the canon couples (with the exception of a few). It's just that, well, variety is the spice of life, ya know? And lately, I've been more into the variety. Much, much more. The only canon couple I'm particularly fond of is Inuyasha/Kagome, and yet the only Inuyasha fics I've read have been Sesshoumaru/Inuyasha or Miroku/Inuyasa. Yes. It's sad, I know. Made even worse by me pointing out that a big factor in whether or not I'll apply to Academy Art College San Francisco my senior year is partially based on being able to attend Yaoi-con, conveniently being held in the same city. ^^;;

So that's my rant for the day. Yaoi fans of the world, unite! *waves tiny banner*

There ought to be a law against having so many incredibly hot guys on one show. I mean, look at them. Look at them. They go to battle wearing chest plates and armored bikini bottoms. I mean, DAMN. And they ride HUGE horses. If I were a guy, that's be the equivalent of a bunch of topless chicks getting into a mudfight. *shakes head* I feel kinda bad for Alexander though. I mean, he's got a serious Oedipus complex going on, minus the actual act. His mom really needs to chill out a bit. You can just tell by the way she fondles him that she wants to see him spread out naked on a rack so she can offer him as a "sacrafice". Sacrafice. Right. *cough*INCEST*cough* Now who said that? ^_~

Enough for tonight. I'm going to miss Trigun. Frankly, I think Trigun sucks so far, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Bleh. I hate that show. >.

"Come with me, where chains will never find you..."

Hm. Listening to the Les Miserables Finale. It's a beautiful song, and it seemed fitting having just finished another book for school- All Quiet on the Western Front.

This book is fantastic; it's as good as Les Miserables but on a different level; this one deals not with depravity and life in the bowels of society, but life as it is in the heat of war, where the only things you know are death and trying to stay alive, where life outside these two things becomes precious yet meaningless. It's a first person story, and it makes you feel like you're RIGHT THERE when everything's happening; you can hear the bombs whistling down, feel the shrapnel and mud and bodies flying over your head; view each death with the mix of apathy and sympathy necessary to life on the front. And when certain people die and Paul (the main character) allows himself a rare moment of feeling, it is just as shocking and confusing and all-consuming for the reader as it is for him. When I say the reader I really mean me, but I couldn't say me because that would be out of tense. ^^;;

I STRONGLY suggest everyone read this book. Yes, I know I strongly suggested Les Miserables too, but this one is just as good. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't reccomend that, but that's something I hope to rectify this weekend. Ah, god, the perfection in the pacing and the mood of this book...it's too damn great. I need to read for fun like this more often; granted, it's a book for English class, but I was bored tonight and decided to finish the whole thing rather than stretch it out over the next two or three weeks like we usually do. I'm so glad I did. For those of you into violence and gore, this book's got plently of it, along with plenty of unrefined activities that fit in perfectly with the story. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!

Gah, me mam's whining at me. I'm off to bed now. READ ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT FILTHY STINK-MEAT HUMANS!

Number one: When you email a webmaster/mistress/fanfic writer and they don't mail back. Ever. And second is when people promise to update and they don't. You know, if you say you're going to update on february second, I don't expect you to update at exactly the twelfth stroke of midnight like your site's some freaking pumpkin and all the visitors will go *poof* if you're not on time. I can understand being a day or two late, that's fine. But wat I can't stand is when here it is, three months later, with that same damned *NEXT UPDATE IN THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY!* Title staring at me in the face, taunting me, mocking me for stupidly believing anything the webmaster tells me. I can understand life getting in the way, but really people: unless someone's died or you're about to get married, there is NO EXCUSE for being that late. You can fob it off on whatever pointless crap you want, but let me assure you, you're losing visitors for every day you chip away at your own credibility. I've stopped believing the update claims of certain websites I visit; I mean, what's the point? It's not like they're ever going to do it. I'm half tempted to go ask the webmistress/master of a certain site I visit if they want ME to handle the updating, just so I can stifle the urge to take them out back and throttle them. I really, really hate it when people don't update. Yes. Yes, I do.

*SPOILER WARNING FOR ANYONE READING LES MISERABLES*

ENJOLRAS! My sweet, beautiful, sexy Enjolras! Why, why, why did you have to die? I LOVEDED YOU ENNY! I LOVEDED YOU!

However, the scene where Enjolras dies is incredibly sweet. When he holds hands with Grantaire and smiles at him- my slashy feelers went all a-tingle. They're my new favorite slash couple! And Enjolras is my new favorite fiction character, along with Eponine and Gavroche. Poor Gavroche; his death was the only other moment in the book that sent me into sniffle territory. Especially the line they say right after he gets shot the second time, the one about that great little spirit taking flight- I've read that section over and over again. Poor, poor Gavroche. Poor, poor Enjolras. At least they both died bravely. Ah well. I guess that's why the book isn't called "The happy-happy fun-fun adventures of the poor"

On a side note, for anyone who hasn't read Les Miz, you really, really should. Especially if you've read one of Victor Hugo's other novels. This is the second one I've read by him, the other being Hunchback of Notre Dame, and I must admit, Les Miz soars over the latter. They are both equal in the drama/romance/tragedy department, but something about the depth and complexity of Les Miserables makes it shine. It's definitely worth reading, and by the time you're done you'll be crying just because it's over. Les Miz is simply a fantastic book.

On a side note, my apologies to Jim and Silver, who ceased to be my absolute favorite slash couple as of two days ago. They are now in second place. Sorry Jim and Sivvy; but something about a drunkard and a graceful angel hooking up just strikes as being more romantic. ^^;;

Today has been a very tired sort of day...started off ok with Static Shock and Yu-gi-oh, then went downhill once I realized I've been missing the new inu-yasha's for the last two weeks. STUPID CARTOON NETWORK EXECS! ANNOUNCE WHEN YOU'RE GONNA CHANGE THE FREAKIN' SCHEDULE! Hm, yes. And my feedback's been low as of late- traffic to my fanfiction persona has come to a near standstill, and no one checks me out here. Ah well. No complaining Ashlee.

In other news, I've finally sucumb to the boyish charm of Jim Hawkins. Against my better judgement I am now a member of the hordes of squealing Jim fangirls. Though Silver will always be first in my heart...ah, my sexy, sexy, John Silver...*sighs*

Other than that, nothing too much happening. Ta, all...well, whoever happens to read this.
