So anyway Horoscopes. At work, there is this old guy who started a lil while back in a 'senior management' position. Seems he is super awesome at running companies into the ground as all his companies he has referenced are no longer. Lol plz.

So this morning, I get to work and the owner, this old guy and this new girl that started today are talking. It goes like this.

Me: No, a family member is borrowing it.

Me: I did, but the person that needed the photo taken wasnt available.

So, I got my money back? How's that. Apparently AUD$50million was swiped from Australian bank accounts, and they suspect it was due to people posing as 'technicians' for EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer Point Of Sale) terminals in places like McDonald's and Woolworths / Coles (Grocery store / Drug store / Supermarket - Gotta keep it globalised) and the silly fools that work in these places just let the imposters play with the terminals! D< *rage at dumbasses* It amazes me, continually at how stupid some people can be, like if someone knocks on your door and states they are a wallet technician to you let them look in your wallet without supervision? Moar care by those who handle machines in which we use to pay is urgently needed. So those of you out there who are in a POS (Point of sale / Retail / You handle customers paying for goods and services) work environment need to BE MOAR CAREFUL! D< Or we need finger print or eye scanning for our payments of monies instead of a fucking PIN (Personal Identification Number).

:bulletgreen: CorelDRAW® X4 - Simply the best vector based program about. It even handles a hexachrome® (6 colour process) prepress output - Something Adobe® has never done without fooling it by using specials / spot colours successfully anyway. It is prolific in the sign and vinyl industry and equally common amongst printing companies. CorelDRAW® is Vector illustration, page layout and everything in one program. The only real people who hate this program are typically those that don't understand it or are them arty-farty-design-I-work-for-an-agency-on-a-Mac types. Which is sad really. deviantART has a awesome deal with corel, you should get it - it's brilliant.

:bulletgreen: Adobe® CS4 Master Collection. Now after bashing Adobe above, I get to give it some love. Honestly, Adobe has come along way baby. Rewinding back to super early versions they trailed Quark by miles, now they have basically put them out of business. Adobe® InDesign® is the default program of choice for the print media and publication industry. No, please do not design your print media in Photoshop® or Illustrator® even. What is even more apparent now, is studio workflow - whereby before (pre-CS) the Adobe® Suite was clunky and didn't mesh well together now it's an awesome studio force. Things become apparent when you use it how it should be used. I have Adobe® Bridge as start-up. I use it as the navigation for projects. These projects are a folder. Well I now positively hate Canada. No not really lol, however I'm a little pissed off cause the other day someone in Canada decided to drain my bank account completely at some random ATM. So standing at the supermarket (grocery / drug store) I proceeded to attempt to pay for my stuff when it returns ***DECLINED YOU HAZ NO MONEY***. So, obv I was D: and busted out the iphone and logged on to see all but $16.87 missing from my main bank account. *rage*

I think I said many not so nice words and the checkoutchick (btw, it wasn't a chick - but boy cashiers are checkoutchicks to you know) lol @ my outburst, as the others all pulled D: faces at me. Got another card out paid and went on my way.

Turns out, later than night three, yes three of my cards were cancelled or suspended from use due to Mastercard International and muh bank's fruad team discovered these assholes stealing lots of peoples money.

To those pricks in Toronto who stole muh money, Imafindyouandgrrr. Lol. The bank has told me, if they get the money back from the Canadian Bank that owns the ATM, I shall get my money back. So I hope so.

deviantART is a brilliant vehicle for people to grow and learn and showcase their talent. No one will ever deny this. Over time recently, I have been watching how it all goes down on deviantART (as I've always done) and my views on everything are changing.

I have always, and always will support deviantART - without it, there would be no decent vehicle for us to showcase our work. Now I wonder why do we constantly reward and blow smoke up the ass of the same people continually?

Yes lots don't, yes lots work at supporting new talent or unrecognised talent, however it seems the same group of "me me me me" people get recognised. I honestly believe if half these people stopped trying to worry about how they are viewed, how popular they are and omgmeeeeee that this place would be better.

Examples of what I am saying? Well anonymously of course, yes here are a few:

dailyDEVIATION's
I never complain about a DD, because why would you complain about a suggested piece that has been featured, is a bit silly - HOWEVER! I do notice, the same people getting DD after DD, I know there is the three month rule etc, but really do I feel many of these multiple DD recipiants do not deserve the many they have, hmm put it better - there is probably some unknown artist that deserves it more.

One thing that is super annoying is elitism. I try and be friendly to everyone, as do most of you. If someone devwatches me and is taking the time to review my submissions to deviantART - I feel I should return this and devwatch them. I've seen a friend devwatch someone who is popular, said person only visited their page - probably because they are too good to devwatch this person. It's lame. Annoying also. Person who thinks they are awesome, you aint. Srsly, devwatch moar people - you never know what someone will submit tomorrow, next month or in two years.

Basically, when everything is "memememe" you often lose sight of what is real as you become tangled in your own little web-of-yourself. Chances are, you probably don't matter as much as you think, so why keep it up?

Its been nice to see activities that are aiming to change this, with projects all over the place - but really this all ends with us, don't feed the memememe'ers.

Go out and find the unknowns. Talk to them. Maybe this way they wont think everyone is stuck up and ignorant.

This user ~saz08 decided to attempt to 'frame me' of hacking his user account on dA. Lol. Plain and simple, lol.

Now, of course it resulted in another user by the name of =DarkSazMaster to come into dAmnU and wish t o talk to me, not knowing them, I said yes when they explained that they are ~saz08 and someone hacked their account, and it has `sentrixx on it, so it must be me. I wear tight jeans therefore I must be emo much?.

The point to this is, trying to get someone banned is silly - after all, liars get found out. I lol'd and wished to share.

In other news! there have been other recent lulz, one's in the case of a volunteer being mouthy and (in my opinion over stepping the mark that is expected of a volunteer) acting in a manner that you would hope they wouldn't - after all, they are representing deviantART, inc. (:

On a side note Many misunderstood the recent dAmnU poll, and it was about possibly letting someone have a go at running dAmnU - after all, the group is based around the wants of the users - not that of one sided control.

The hint to this being fact, would've been the changes to the Founder to ~KidneyBot and the privclasses being moved down and the destruction of GroupOps and ChatOps, and just having Ops for both.

Real life! Work has been busy which is :la: due to time travels fast. Also, Mac i7 27" iMac is my new toy, I chose this over a loaded G6 mainly cause it looks nice and is equiped better than the G6 we have already. So basically I am going to see how it goes, if its ok I might get one for home too, since I've been wanting a Mac for a while now at home. Working on some new art and the like. Will post soon.

So the weekend is here. In other news, I dyed my hair black again - lol, even worse I had to get it tidied up a lil and well my hairstylist had a bad day and did it a bit shit, like it looks ok it's just not me.

Work has been insane recently, since returning from Xmas Vacation. Everything is urgent and people are in a mad rush. The whole world needs to chill a bit, I reckon.

So I suppose, most that don't know me well wouldn't know I am a graphic designer and work for a creative agency in Sydney that happens to own printing companies and the like. Its awesome. Most of our work revolves around the fashion and gaming industries. Yes, fashion is awesome, cept most of what we do is for female brand or stores . The rest is pretty much gaming based. We do work for a few game chains and makers of games. I'm not a gamer, however the creative and the like we are dealing with is always super awesome. (Example below for the launch of BioShock2)



Note: Illustrations came from the game company, out of the UK. Would be epic if the illustrators were on dA!

Now on dA, I'm always looking out for people who are super talented because the stuff we see on dA is of the calibre of the stuff out in the industry - or better! Everyone's heard the stories of the dA kid who made something of themselves, but more should focus their energy on doing it.

I would be most interested in meeting digital artists who can follow a brief and are possibly of the calibre of what you see on gaming based point of sale displays, posters and standees. (No, Im not hiring anyone...just networking).

TwentyTen is going to be huge. Such a massive start to the year can only mean good things.

Not sure how long I will leave these images up, I was hoping to find them on google so I could post with ease - but Ive not seen them.

...well it has been well to long that I've not updated my journal. >_>

Life is fucking wonderful. If you don't like it, then shush - don't try n spoil mine. Work has been insanely busy - but that's a good thing. (I'm a rent boy if you must know, no you cannot afford me).

I just spent loads of time going through my message centre, 80 messages is lots you know. You kids and your journals and polls and stuff.

I've noticed loads of people saying stuff that is silly in regard to senior members of dA, and tbh I know exactly where they are coming from. The seniors list leaves alot to be desired (at times) but hey, bad eggs are everywhere.

The softcore launch of groups has been fun to watch, hope everyone enjoys and appreciates the hard work by the people at deviousTECHNOLOGY, especially when you think it was well underway when the worldTOUR happened.

What should we do? Think up ideas - post them here. Anyway, This journal skin was inspired as I mentioned by a ';purple-loving-hoar' and for a simple journal I feel it works well, I've noted the massive rush for overtly fancy journals is high - but simple ones can work well too.

I am working on a fancy journal currently - not sure if I want to go gruze or the old style. It will have multiple facets and be a little more involved in user setting it up. Also, if you want a custom journal coded / designed, ask - sometimes I have spare time.

It is funny how much has changed in the history of deviantART, and in world history in the time deviantART has existed. Everyday passing adding more to this epic way of life some lead. It was around this time in 2001 when I was first made aware of deviantART and usually I do not make a fuss over how long I've been around or each dA aniversary I as a user have because this website is about so much more than any one person.

However, it just is crazy actually stop and think hell its been this long. In the begining like so many I lurked in the shadows, those that know me well know this is not my first dA account. However this is my account forever now - its so hard to change usernames, Ive tried it.

..So yes, Thankyou to anyone who I have had positive interactions with over the years - you are all the best! People come and go, I've always apired to be the stain on the floor over there.

I have always been into photography of all kinds, main reason I took it at high school along with my other arts based courses. Recently, I have tried to capture the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo in many shots - of what they love doing every afternoon in our backyard. It has really struck home, what a lucky country Australia is - our creatures, the lifestyle and everything is about as good as perfect can be ('cause nothing is perfect, ok.) - I like this.

Now, I cannot just take pics of all the birds in my area, I could but I will tire of it. I will be looking to shot anything that holds still long enough, even if it doesn't stop that's ok. I want to fully explore the limits of my fairly low end Sony dSLR A200.

Street / Urban Photography will spring to life in my gallery soon, planning stuff for this.

Design well I have kept this side of my artisti life off dA for professional reasons - I rarely mix my online world with my real world, makes it easier in the long run - some will agree people can use your online fun against you in the corporate world (or personal world) and this is sad, but true. That being said, I will be putting more design based stuff up with the upcoming portfolio pages etc.

It's time, I showed that in addition to being a dAmn / Community hoar... I enjoy making arts also.

It has been amazing experiencing the world tour meet so early on, and now sitting back all cosy and warm (It's winter in Australia) watching deviants return from the devMEETs dripping enthusiasm - and rightly so, the future looks bright for us all, and hearing the HQ Team speak of deviantART is inspiring stuff - and everyone is showing this in the journals, conversations on dAmn and photo's.

Well, Monday was busy and insanely fact filled fun, and the like. Oh why? Well... Had lunch with Angelo and Heidi which was filled with awesomesauce. Was great to talk to two who put so much into deviantART and have done for a long while - plus its not everyday you get to 'do lunch' with people that live in LA.

Much was talked about, Groups and Portfolios look amazing :excited: I wont bore you with boring details as soon enough everyone will see and plus I fail at communicating via Journals.

Wednesday should be fun. I am hoping to have my own little creation for the Tour... More soon on that.

Other news, It's cold. I am working on new artworks and they shall be coming soon.
