I've just made my first book on blurb.com mainly composed on photographs that i have here on dA, taken at the Black Sea, Romania..

I just ordered one copy, can't until it gets here, being my first book, i'm really curious how it looks printed, right now the preview looks really good, i saw that some people here have some books on blurb too, so i guess they should print it ok :)

Now, i have to warn you, this is going to be a pretty long journal, filled with my own frustrations, so those whom i-m going to bore eventually, i-m sorry for that, but i have to write this :)

So, i signed up for a photography/art course which should prepare me for getting admitted in an Art University in Bucharest, where i would be studying photography for 3 years :) now, i can say that i-m slightly downhearted by all that happened there, except for meeting some really beautiful/interesting/open-minded people (some are here on dA too), i knew that i would receive critique for what i do, i know my pictures arent that great, but well, i cant accept that landscape pictures arent considered art pictures, at least from what the teachers there say, that they are commercial/"plain beautiful" photos and dont have a "story" i cant accept that, i mean thats why i started doing photography in the first place, i love nature, i-m trying to be better, i know that my style isnt unique, and i accept that, it will eventually be more "personal" with the passing of time and the more i travel, but i dont know why ordinary pictures, that record something shocking are considered art, and pictures that have maybe more to say in my opinion (and im not talking about my own here, i saw a lot of great pictures who were eventually trashed by others) are just overlooked because they-re not in the "genre"

I first read a journal made by :iconkirliancamera: who asked the question Are landscape photos art? or are they not? so i ask of you to tell me your honest opinion about that, i would appreciate it so much..

1. I like music, i couldn't live without it, i love my fretted & fretless basses, they-re a part of me now

3. I-m passionate about everything i do, sometimes that makes me exaggerate, and it creates trouble :blush:
4. I hate being told what to do, i have a problem with authority :)
5. I like european movies, they really get to me
6. I-ve always wanted to study archaeology, since i was a kid i dreamed about traveling across the world finding ancient relics or at least discovering whats left from the ancient world (ok, it sounds like a movie scenario lol, i know, but i really would like to do that one day)
7. I-m really bad at getting people to understand what i mean, i often get misunderstood, usually this is the first impression i leave, most of the times i get into useless arguments :blush:
8. I-m talkative, i can spend hours talking about something i like, i know its tiring for you people :rofl: sorry about that.. nah anyway if you see me quiet, that means i surely am having a bad day

Acum, ce pot să zic, sunt pur si simplu furios, in legătura cu ce s-a intamplat, nu inteleg cum de în secolul 21 se poate întâmpla așa ceva, și noi nu facem nimic in legătura cu asta, sigur nu mă refer la populație, am văzut ca în fiecare mare oraș lumea a ieșit in stradă și a făcut gesturi de solidaritate pentru Moldova, dar din păcate asta nu cred că ajută foarte mult persoanele care sunt agresate/arestate/hăituite in Moldova de către autoritățile comuniste..
Nu sunt adeptul violenței, nu cred că rezolvă nimic, dar in stilul asta niciodată nu se va termina, trebuie făcut ceva.. Nu sunt eu in măsură să găsesc o soluție, dar pur și simplu simt că ceva nu-i la locul lui, nu e deloc normal să stăm să ne uităm când oameni sunt abuzați, acum Voronin dă vina pe România pentru proteste, dar oare el s-a gândit, la cât rău au făcut comuniștii ? in ce stare au adus economia, s-au gandit oare, că de ce studenții sunt cei care au ieșit in stradă?
Dacă totul e invenție, de ce atunci presa este pusă sub presiune, sunt amenințați când filmează autoritățile disperate, care prind oamenii pe stradă și îi arestează
Din păcate nu mă pricep la cuvinte.. mi-aș dori sa pot exprima mai bine in cuvinte, ceea ce simt, sunt sigur ca sunt alții care pot sa facă asta, eu am incercat doar sa exprim o frustrare care o simt de fiecare dată când mă gândesc la Moldova... la românii de acolo..

Pana la urma festivalul despre care am scris un jurnal care trebuia sa aiba loc duminica, a avut loc doar simbolic, evenimentul principal din cauza ploii fiind amanat.
El a fost reprogramat vineri 12.12.2008 cu incepere tot de la 18, meteorologii spun ca va fi vreme buna sa speram ca va fi asa :D

So for those of you who are curious about the subscription, for now i did see as new options:

* seeing as thumbnails the new devs, so no need to click what you dont have time or dont want to watch :)

*an expanded view for the messages in the message box (you can see the text written by your friends, and you can reply to it)

*you can use CSS beta :)

*you have a header and footer in your journal

*you browse without banners

*you can browse more deviations and way back than before

*you have a different control panel, you can analyze much deeply your work (as people have been watching it) diverse graphs and stuff

for now thats mainly all i can say about the subscription, i am satisfied, its worth the money :)
