I've been thinking a lot lately. Quite likely due to a lot of things happening. Sufficient to say my life is a bit crazy yet. I'm partially through my second "official" week of school, and the outlook isn't appearing too bright. I wish it would at least put on a faux front of easiness and not immediately beat me up and take my lunch money.

Sofar I've only had pull one all nighter to get my work done, but right now that seems a bit extreme. Half of my class days are 7 hours, and the other day is only 3 hours. While only two of my classes give me any sort of homework, I'm already feeling beyond overwhelmed.

That's a funny word. Overwhelmed. Very heavy on the "WHUA" sound.

ANYHOW. The work load has been rather rough for me, though I think everyone else is fine. Not only that but after spending half the weekend and most of today on an assignment, it was given a giant by my teacher. I suppose I shouldn't be too wound up over it but by golly I am! Had I been able to gain some sort of audience with her, I could have proceeded to the final step after correcting the errors, but she was too busy spending huge blocks of time with the other students. I guess that can be a good thing, but waiting half an hour to 45 minutes just to ask something rather quick and simple seems pretty asinine (I like that word too). Not only that, I had asked several peoples opinions as to if my works fit the criteria of the project and got the . One of those was my Drawing 1 teacher, who may as well be the expert on contour lines.

Asinine.


Additionally, my new project should be done end-of-the-week-ish. Depending on how much time I get to devote to it, and how well it turns out after the scan, I'm hoping to be done with it Saturday. Oh, and check out [link]

Observation : I realized after talking to someone that I tend to fall further then off the planet during the summer. Maybe its the anti social part of me, but I enter this state of not keeping in touch almost every summer. Not only that I tend to not upload anything on dA during the summer (or if I do its what you can consider "inspired" or even "rare").


Major Change Number 2 : I'm painting my room red.

Observation : "Edgy Red" makes it seem as if a light is still on in my room. There's a constant "glow" coming out from under my bedroom door during the day. Pretty wicked.


Major Change Number 3 : I'm clearing out my gallery.

Observation : Several of the things in my gallery just don't feel like they belong to me. I guess you could say the quality of some of my older (and a few of my newer things as well) aren't up to my standards. Maybe its some sort of comparison thing for me I don't know. I go through other galleries and see such wonderful things up and when I look at mine I don't think...I think I can do better. I'll be throwing out several things, and moving several others to scraps. There will be a list at the bottom of this journal. Even though I really want to clean up my deviant art account, if someone really wants me to keep something, and can convince me, I might keep it around.


An Additional Observation : Even though I've replaced my old scanner, the new one is worse. I always hated scanning things with Richard, which is one reason I didn't upload things too often, but this is just insane. I'm also thinking of changing my avatar on here, although I'm not sure what to.

That would me that I would have to actually start posting newer things. And that I would lose any feedback that I had before. I guess I'm going to have to put this all down to turning 19. I have been trying to find out how I've improved, how my style has changed, and looking for some sort of improvement. Some things have seemed to change for the better, but I get this feeling that things I've done a year or two ago are at a higher level then what I am doing now. Maybe its because I'm trying something new, a new style or method, but maybe that just isn't an excuse. Its such a sad thing when you can see something so clear in your head and it is so completely different on paper...

It all goes back to Andy. Andy and the Guardians. I know Andy so well but, well I haven't been able to share him well enough. Or perhaps he just doesn't want to be shared. At least not yet. He is a rather shy guy. And the guardians...they are probably one of the redeeming things from this past year. The deer,the dog,the horse, the bird. Regretfully I really need to go back and revise the deer guardian's look. I think the most successful of them are the dog and the bird. I am really happy with how the dog came out, he was fairly effortless. For something that was so easy it amazed me that I was as happy with him as I am. The bird was more work but I think that is one of the reasons I like him so much. I draw him the most and ironically enough he was supposed to be the one that barely made an appearance. Ideally I need to post them all up together- a group character sheet. Let's cross our fingers for that.

I shall be frantically trying to catch back up. Needless to say break was fairly unproductive. I got a few sketches in but alas not many. The pile of things to scan and post seems to be growing daily. Even worse both me and my step-mum got the stomach flu over break, when she was sick I was taking care of her. Then I got it and we were nursing each other back to health.

In other news...
Kiribian is gone. Sadly no-one on dA got it. One of my other friends found it and won it. Grats G! Your prize shall be done fairly soon, I hope to have it finished (if not scanned) by this weekend.

Dearest and most patient Mur-kun. I am (after this journal) going to scan sweet Uranus into my computer. He's been done for a bit, I've been usually slothful lately and I must apologize profusely for it. Going to play with him in photoshop and hopefully make it worth your wait. Thank you for your patience.

Like I've said I have many things to post. Over 36 if I remember correctly, 24 odd being from my "Le Petit Prince" project, others being various sketches and so forth. I am currently planning on putting the bell dragon, the joker, and some other miscellaneous sketches into a nice sketch dump to refrain from crowding your boxes. Also have a rather large sketch of the Air Guardian, which sadly is too big for Richard to handle, so I shall have to try to piece it together as best as I can. ALSO! Good news! Andromedeus has a new picture that I will be scanning in as well! I must say I'm a bit proud of it as Andy has become one of my favourite characters. Sloth monster is still unfinished, and in addition to the other pieces I've mentioned, I've also done some mmo fanart for some of my friends which I'll be posting. There will probably be several things on graph paper thrown into scraps as well. College gave me a lot of time to doodle.

Speaking of, I got a 4.0 in 3 out of 4 of my classes! (and a 3.5 in the fourth) I'm rather excited and pleased. Grateful too...first semester was rough.

If I can borrow a digital camera, I will also attempt to take photos of some of the things I did for college. Most of them are on 18x24 sheets of paper and that is far out of Richard's league.

I hope all of you have had a wonderful break and I want to say thank you for not giving up on me. I'm sorry I haven't been posting and I hope you will forgive me for it and maybe even comment on some things if I do ever get them up.

Anywho i thought ild give yet another update on my ..erm status??

Andromedeus [link] is getting a make-over oh noes! im really working on his outfit and making it something thats easier for him to get into and out of. Hes also getting a bit of a physilogical makeover too the poor guy.

Im also working on not one, but two new charas. I know its amazing isnt it?? Im having a bit of trouble with one so Im trying to get reference sheets together and have flesh him out for me. My other is a lil beastie so hes no problem at all. Plus hes got a bit of a story to go with him so Im rather proud

Also I should be posting some things Ive done while in college this weekend. SOme linearts and other random things. Oh and now that I temporarily have a camera I might take some pics of things Ive done that are bigger then my scanner. (or ill have kristysammeg scan it for me and put it all together >:3 ) Thats only if you people are interested tho x3

Super secret project is also going through. Exceedingly slowly as I have to earn quite a bit of money to fund it all. Im rather extremely excited about it nonetheless. it wasnt a bad link matter of fact it was quite humerous and had me laughing until i almost fell out of my chair that would have been bad mind you because falling out of ones chair unexpectedly generally doesnt feel well and has one wondering why one didnt try and stay in said chair. oh and you might as well be warned that this journal hold nothing of consequence so reading it is more comparible to watching the commercials while waiting for ones favorite program to come on

now that thats out of the way watching those vids made me feel like talking in really really long drawn out sentences with no punctuation which mind you i do anyways but it spurned me to do it and call attention to it so if you havent noticed now please take the time to notice immediately

now i go on dev to make a pointless ramble and i see that one of the people i am watching mainly because i know them in real life and really wanted to be able to communicate to someone on dev that i do know in reality or at least the figment that we do call reality to comment on the random stuff on here has posted a rant about a game which i found highly ironic or is it coincidental because the funny site was all about this guy who rambled on in a interesting cynical fashion about video games and how some of them made him want to cut out his eyes with a spoon or some other dull and probably rusty utensil but thats not a morbid or dark thing because it was quite hilarious and funny but thats the same as hilarious which i dont think i can spell correctly

so basically after a long day of dealing with teachers who seem to want to pile a elephants worth of homework on me overnight and expect me to get up early so i can turn it in by 8 am tomorrow which absolutely wont happen especially with the cost of gas now and who gets up to go to school on a saturday except the bad kids and i hope im not one of those i get home and work my bum off and email the bloody paper to the teacher only to get it sent back because in my haste i typoed on the address to which i promptly resent the lovely little dear of a paper i find that friends are really a good thing great for sending you links to random sites that yould never find unless you were googling 'landscape stock photos' or something equally unrelated and happened to stumble completely unawares onto this site but in most cases look over the site because its nothing related to what youves spent about fifty million hours of your life looking for because search engines really need to be able to read minds that would make things so much simpler

did anyone noticed that the title of this journal has nothing to do with even the remotest thing that ive babbled on about like the village idiot i should probably think of a different title but as my mind is still on cynical people who seem to have it out for games i could think of nothing else save pocky and thats only because im a smidge hungry

So much has gone on. Christmas break and New Years went by so fast. Thankfully I finished up some school projects, but other then that it was pretty helter-skelter.
I had to come up with an artist statement for my art class. Honestly it was a terrible pain. I hadnt the foggiest on what to say. You cant speak too much of yourself or your works, but you cant just talk about the method either. I spent forever thinking up one. I finally managed to put together a haiku that wasnt all to bad. Now I just have to set up my showcase. Also, I hope to find a decent camera and take a few pictures of things (generally the unscannable or things that scan badly).

On another note I have met several new people. Ok well 2 is several to me lol. Both have great talent and unique designs. Check them out!

hmm lets see-whats new??? not much i suppose- i finally posted some things a bit ago (more of i finally got motivated to make a sketch)
ah i went to a uber mini art show at my local school area there were some pretty interesting things there-a lot of landscapes and still lifes but it was all good-i even had 3 of my things in there-ironically none of them are posted on here but ive said before im lazy havent i? im really happy with how the sculpture i put in the show looked when i had it glaze-fired it looked terrible the orange color came out this odd brown/yellow/blue color--- of course i couldnt stand for this so i whipped out some spray paint and gave it a makeover

me+spraypaint+ceramics=fume hazard

it was tons of fun though-and it actually turned out somewhat decent

1) i tend to to the opposite of what ppl want meh to do- i dont know why i dun try to rebel its just what happens
2)im lazy and completely unmotivated in my everyday life
3)i like to hang around ppl who make meh laugh- if i dont find them slightly funny then i most likey wont be around them
4)I love strawberry pocky.....damn that stuff is good
5)when i get really excited about something i talk/type horribly- i also tend to skip around topics when im talking because im thinking about so many things at once
6)i like rainy days

BIG thanks to Lachrymus who said to do a phoenix rather then a dragon
if it were a dragon i would of done it differently and it wouldve taken longer and then i wouldve lost interest and i think you peeps get the point
