dude! i just had the best day EVER!

other than the fact that i had no homework and was given a few boxes of Nerds by a fellow classmate

i made a great discovery in my school's rummage sale donations! my school hosts a rummage sale two times a year, and all the donations are put in the senior hall before the housekeeping people put it into storage. so naturally everybody can go through whats there and take anything that might be interesting! well today i was going through a box of junk and found a small blue box with 26 dollars in change in it!

it was all in pre-counted rolls; two $5 rolls of dimes, two $2 rolls of nickles, and one $10 roll of quarters, plus four 50 cent Kennedy coins!

im not sure where they came from, but i found credit card receipts in the box that were all dated 1988, and sure enough all the coins in there were minted before 1988, so that basically 26 bucks thats been out of circulation for 21 years!

this is so great! and i needed the money too, cuz im basically broke

go see it, its a really good movie!

the disaster sequences are epically realistic, and they dont do the stupid ass Blair Witch Project type of filming where they shake the camera around and you cant get any detail out of it! >.< this movie is truly an example of Will Smith's quote, "you'll laugh, you'll cry, you never know whose gonna die!"

the only thing i dident like about 2012 was the comic relief; ive always hated comic relief, especially when they make it really apparent by putting it in really serious scenes! and thats one thing that they did every now and then in 2012, and it was a quite annoying

nevertheless go see it! whether you believe in the 2012 theory or not its still a freaking epic movie!

AND we were planning to go to the Oshkosh Airshow in Wisconsin if i couldent go, but unfortunately the North Carolina trip was canceled so late in the game that we missed our chance (cuz it ended TODAY) >.< so ultimately im spending another summer sitting on my ass doing nothing

and to make matters worse our food stamps apparently were canceled without our notification, so now we're basically starving to death cuz we cant go shopping >.< god RL sucks...

anyways Shark Week started today!

thats usually the only incentive i get during summer. so be sure to watch carefully, cuz you might see Sharky in the background!

]]> ~sharkplane77 huge summer vent rant http://sharkplane77.deviantart.com/journal/25442520/ http://sharkplane77.deviantart.com/journal/25442520/ Sat, 20 Jun 2009 21:04:13 PDT plus i feel somehow distanced from everybody here on DA, and im not talking about geographical distance. it could be my asberger's acting up again preventing my from effectively communicating, but i think theres something else going on. it could be due in part that my art has changed little over a year other than the fact that im including backgrounds in my more recent pics. i should try some other media to make my art just a bit more diverse, but every time i think about doing that i loose all inspiration and i get a monster case of artist's block that can last for months.
i love being a member of the living airplane community and i love being able to share ideas about living airplanes with others in the world who have the same exact idea, but i cant seem to get inspiration anymore, so i TRULY respect those who can find inspiration from seemingly anywhere and apply it creatively to a living airplane related peice of art. art trades help, but only for a short while. so ultimately im plagued with the demons of depression, anger, emptiness, and hesitation this summer, so im praying i can find a way through it before i loose all self-confidence.

i never thought i would become a definitive member of the living airplane community on DA, but thanks to everyone who took a liking to my traditional colored penciled art

i actually discovered Deviant Art back in late April of 2008, but dident really consider joining until i discovered the living airplane community in late May, but it took me a good month before i summed up the courage to join

and i was pleasantly surprised how nice everybody was to me and how acceptent everybody was of my art (cuz i usually dont get that kind of acceptance in real life) so i want to thank everybody on my friends list, especially "the big three"

who influenced me to join in the first place. plus everybody who watches me (even if i dont watch you back). and the 3 living airplane artists who joined after me!

~sharkplane77 SIU trip epilogue http://sharkplane77.deviantart.com/journal/24468455/ http://sharkplane77.deviantart.com/journal/24468455/ Mon, 27 Apr 2009 17:55:09 PDT i got up at 5:00 AM to get ready to leave for O'Hare, and got there in time to register, go thru Terminal 1's security, and wait to board! i was lucky enough to be flying on a United 737-300, so i was very happy about that!

but everything went smoothly when we left Chicago, though it was really windy in Carbondale, so the landing was a little bumpy, but that made it more exciting

unfortunately it was too windy to fly in the Cessnas, so that sucked, plus our tour group was behind schedule so we dident get to see the helicopter technologies hangar >.< but i had already seen all that on my first tour. we went through all of SIU's airport facilities and even toured the main campus! the campus tour was much better this time around i must say!

but after all that we were ready to leave but had to go through TSA security (which is so SLOW!) so that took a long time, plus i accidentally wore a shirt with metal buttons, so they actually gave me a full pat-down, which was really embarrassing to say the least

then we all had to wait 45 minutes to take off cuz the weather was so bad at O'Hare that they set up a ground lock. and when we finally took off we had to circle St. Louis for another 45 minutes before we were giving clearance to land back in O'Hare, so the delays were quite annoying, but they dident bother me that much

we landed at O'Hare 2 hours behind schedule!

i signed up for the United Airlines SIU fly-in back on the 5th and now im a confirmed participant!

i tried attending the American Airlines one back in October, but basically everything went wrong and i couldent go, so my 5 and a half month wait to apply for the next one is finally over! i went to this fly-in back in 2007, and it was probably the best day of the year for me! im so excited im giddy!

these next 3 days are going to be so SLOWWWW!!

but i do have a urgent message to spread to all of you; supposedly a super-computer worm is going to activate itself in 10,000 computers world wide on April 1st. the FBI dosent know if this is real or not, but a good portion of the computer companies believe it is true. therefore i will not even risk turning my computer on during the 24 hour period of April 1st, just encase the worm is laying dormant in my computer (which i wouldent doubt, with all the problems its been having) so i greatly urge all of you anywhere in the world to not turn your computers on on April 1st, just encase the rumors are true. better safe then sorry!!

other than that its been normally weird here, as usual. we got 4 inches of snow yesterday morning after 3 weeks of 70 degree temperatures and green grass, and the temp shot all the way up to 50 degrees that same exact day, so all the white show was melting on top of dark green grass

it was actually quite pretty, i should have taken a picture of it >.< plus i have to take the ACT test this Saturday

(American College Test) im really scared about this one, cuz my score on this test will ultimately determine which colleges i might get excepted to and which ones i might not. plus i did REEEEEEEEEALY bad on the math portion of the practice test, so thats concerning me quite a bit. im taking prep classes, but i just dont think i can do it when it comes to math, however i'll give it my best, which is the only thing i can do in the end...

as im sure you all know, i was giving a suspension 2 weeks ago for a couple of my adult plane pics that cause a little disruption among the Admins on DA!

im sure we all knew the Gyrodyne one was the most controversial, but oddly enough my Delta and Northwest pic was removed too. so it said i was suspended the first day, then my status was switched to banned for some reason after the format change, so i ended up writing a ban inquiry and got that settled in the end. so 207 deviations, 198 messages, a format change, and one K later, im back with everyone again!

it was so weird being suspended though, cuz you could still log in, read messages, look at deviations, ect... you just couldent respond to anything! so it was just like being a ghost on DA for the past 2 weeks. that or a giant eye in the sky!

lol but from now on, if i ever submit an adult plane pic, there will just be one plane posing, not interacting physically in any way. plus labeling them "ideologically sensitive" will become a norm from this point on.
i want to thank everyone who posted my E-mail or supported me in any way while i was gone

so i tried going to the library 3 days later when we finally put gas in the car, but they wouldent let me on cuz i wasent 18!

i hate this town so much! >.< but we finally paid them today, so now i can get back you all!

but i have 102 deviations, 77 messages, and 1 note, so i should be very busy for the next 2 days!

once again, i am SO sorry that i was gone so long

greetings DA, on this day after Christmas, i hope you all had fun!

i know me and Sharky did! well, sharkys still getting over his hangover though, so he's not really enjoying this time right now. but other than the occasional vomiting and splitting headache, i think he's OK!

well, it was definitely a slim Christmas this year, with the economy begin what it is, so i dident really get that much. i mainly got gift cards, and a cheep digital camera that im returning to add towards getting a more professional one. we ended up not going to Libertyville on Christmas, but we're thinking about going up there on the 27th or 26th, not quite sure yet.

oh yeah, and i want some feed back on something; i recently re-drew a re-envisioning of my 2005 adult gyrodyne pic, and i think it turned out really good, probably one of the best adult pics ive drawn in a long time!

so now im debating whether to upload it to DA or not. the thing about it is that its a little different from my usual plane pics; they arnt wearing paint, just bare skin, and even though in terms of actually seeing the penetration, its no different from my "plane romance" pic, its just really raw and looks like something that would be better off on Rule34. so i just want to know what you all think

and i'll finally be able to get into R-rated movies!!

(im so weird) but yeah, if i get some money i'll try to buy some of

the bad news is that the school i go to has put me and my sis on whats called the "work-study" program, because we are so far under the poverty line that we cant pay our tuition, so we get every single type of financial aid out there, but the school still requires you to work for a certain # of hours. so we have to work the concession stands at the girls basketball games, and even though that sounds fun, the woman who keeps us all in line is probably the single worst human begin i have ever met in my entire life. she literally treats us like fucking criminals! she has no sense of human respect and deserves to be fired. good god shes worse that all the managers i had at Mcdonalds COMBINED! so now we have to endure that devil for 4 hours every week until February! >.< >.< damn school, im so sick of high school i swear to god!!

it was crazy though! first the company we invited dident come when they said they were, so we ended up eating without them, so when they did get here we mainly ate pie!

i also re-discovered my old scooter from the early 2000s!

so i was rolling all over the house on it! i crashed once though, knocking most of my dad's tobacco on the floor, so the festivities kinda ended there!

but on another note, i am full of ideas right now, so i plan on creating a few new original characters!

i already have one drawn and ready, im just working on his personal profile. i plan to create at least 3! ^^ im not quite sure how you all will react to my first new OC, he is quite dark, but im sure you all will get used to his story!

outside of drawing its been rather dull recently, its been really cold the past few days, about 45 degrees at the highest, plus we havent seen the sun in about 3 days, so its been depressing. i manage to keep myself from getting cabin fever by throwing a rubber ball around my basement till i get tired

its a full basement, and its unfurnished, so theres really nothing to break. anyways, back to school tomorrow to begin the excessively repetitive schedule that will last till may!

ugh...cant wait to get the hell out of high school and start my damn flight training! i consider myself to be OCD to some degree, but the school schedule really gets under my skin. Stephen King once said, "Hell is repetition" and its usually around this time of year when that quote is always on my mind. my school dosent have Veterans day off either, so that SUCKS!! ugh, i really need to take a stress pill and think things over

im so pissed off! i applied to go on the 2008 American Airlines Career day fly-in to SIU, (which is tomorrow, by the way) and everything was working out until we discovered that my aunt (my only means of transportation to O'Hare) was busy that day!

and we cant afford the gas to drive out there, not to mention the cost of parking at O'Hare and what-not! so then we finally came up with this extremely complicated plan of having my uncle pick me up on Thursday, spend the night at his house, then go to my aunts house the next day and spent the night there, then have her drive me to O'Hare in the morning, then after the whole trip was over, have my uncle pick me up again and put me on a train (within 20 minutes of landing) that goes to Union Station, and catch a train that goes to a train station 30 minutes away from my town, and finally drive back home. i was hesitant on just how complicated that was, and then i discovered that both train tickets would cost me about 50 dollars, and it would be impossible to catch them anyway, cuz the union station train leaves before the o'hare train even arrives!
WTF!! is this flight gonna crash!? its like i was destined not to go!! now im gonna have to wait 6 months for the next one!

other then that, not much action, but its been really weird recently; i had to quit my job at McDonalds last month cuz i was getting behind in all of my school work, so now i got no money, again!

ugh! and heres the funny part, i was driving on the road that my McDonalds was on, and i looked over to where it was, and they completely tore it down! all that was left was the main sign, still with it's "2 double cheeseburgers for 1$" advert. is that crazy or what!? i remember before i left, the managers were saying that they were going to transfer somewhere else, but i dident know they were gonna tear the building down! lol talk about officially leaving the job! damn...i wish i could have seen the demolition.

i tried to steal a brick, but there were too many construction workers around. lol, another weird thing that happened recently was that i discovered i got a staff infection from someone, and now i got to take these HUGE antibiotic pills that are as wide a quarter!

the sores i had on my hand looked really weird though, it looked as though my skin was melting off! yuck! but now ive been on the monster pills for 3 days, so im no longer contagious. thank god it wasn't Mersa though!
well, i hope your life has been just as exciting recently, though if you ever see weird looking sores that start forming fluid filled bubbles around them, plus they ooze, be sure to see a doctor right away!

btw, here is a link to the coolest home video tornado footage ive ever seen; [link] it perfectly illustrates the destructive power of american tornadoes. but seriously, the man was almost killed twice filming this, he was struck by lighting at one point, but he kept rolling. then the tornado got so close it blasted out the window he was standing in front of, knocking him over. belive me, this video is intense!
