I'm momentaridly replacing my contest information to inform everyone that I was in an accident today. My first car accident to be exact.

The other party was at fault, they failed to yield to the right of way. They hit me near the left tire, the damage was pretty bad...but I'm okay. I just have some backpains and my left shoulder hurts.

This really sucks. I went into shock until my brother slapped me out of it. Thanks bro...

OKAY! Refrence drawings are up! For those of you who have been waiting on those, please take note that I will no longer make extensions to this contest! Find the links under the description. I will accept entries until May 28th at MIDNIGHT (When the 28th ends and it turns the 29th)!

Note that all entrees will be included in a massive group drawing including the contestants' characters, etc.

Also note that I have changed certain specifications. It will no longer be a mininum amount required to give out the prizes. I'll give them out even if 5 people enter.

Shiirumai’s Good vs. Bad Contest
That’s right everyone! The theme for this year’s contest has been decided! Its my fursona, only you will be able to decide which ‘side’ of her you want to draw. As you all know, we all have our good and our bad sides. So does my fursona. She basically turns into a gothic-looking vampire kittie every full moon. I don’t draw my dark side much, since it never occurred to me to write it into Tammie’s storyline. Anyhow, below are more details on the contest. Please read these Rules/Guidelines carefully! I am being extremely strict with the rules because of the value of the prizes. I have the right to reject entries as well, so please don't take it personal.

Rules/Guidelines
Starts: 12/09/04 | Ends: 5/28/05

All drawings must show effort and must not seem like you threw it together in ten minutes!

You will choose between Tammie and Dark Tammie. You also have the liberty to draw both, but it will only be counted as one entry. You must fully analyze the character in detail. Character mistakes are not appreciated (trust me, its happened too many times to count). Pay attention to detail!

Only one entry per person. The prizes in this contest are very high in value and I cannot afford having one person submit more than one.

The drawing must be in full color with a background. It can be digital mediums (Photoshop, Open Canvas, etc.) or real mediums (Pencil, marker, etc.). Sketches, line art, and drawing without backgrounds will not be accepted. The backgrounds don’t have to be anything elusive, they can be simple like the ones I make [Tutorial on how I make backgrounds will be available soon].

The drawing does not have to be anime. It can be YOUR style. It doesn’t really matter. Every entry has to be unique and it wouldn’t be fun having everyone submit in anime style. Be creative and stick with your style!

All entries must be submitted before midnight of May 28, 2005. Late entries will not be accepted; neither will “last minute” entries. Make sure you send me the link to your drawing BEFORE 5/28/05.

Character Information
As you know, these are two separate characters with their own unique features. Yes, they are the same ‘fursona’, but have completely different personalities and overall appearances. Below is a detailed description of each character. I will be uploading extremely detailed reference drawings very soon. If you rather not wait for the reference drawings, then go ahead and go by the description. Personally I suggest waiting until I get them uploaded. For now you can use the current drawings I have of them as reference, if you’d like. Note: Minor details to Dark Tammie’s design will be changed in the updated version. Okay. I'm still somewhat deciding on the theme for this contest. Perhaps I will make it Winter again, or perhaps Autumn. I have a lot of original characters -- if you don't know already. So I'm having another poll. This poll will begin today, December 2nd and will end December 9th; one week from today.

The poll is going to have a few selections of my original characters (with links to them) and whatnot and you will decide which character (or couple) you'd like this contest to be about. It can be because of the design, the story, whatever! Just choose your favorite, pretty much. By the end of the week I'll see who the winner is and I'll make a new journal entry describing the details of the contest.

As far as the prizes go, I've already decided on what to get each person. There will be a 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winner. Details are as follow:

1st place: 1 year DA subscription, 1 GenkiGang hat (their choice), and a custom drawing done by me (limit 4 chars).

2nd place: 3-month DA subscription and 1 custom drawing done by me (limit 2 chars).

3rd place: 1-month DA subscription and 1 custom drawing done by me (limit 1 char).

As you can see, those aren't cheap prizes...so I won't allow cheap submissions. They submissions must be in full color. Either real mediums or digital mediums. They must have a background (they can also be like the kind of backgrounds I make on my drawings) and it must be very well made. I won't allow any submission that seemed to be thrown together in five minutes. The estimated cost for the 1st prize winner is $100USD, so take a note of that.

Okay, I'm feeling better now from the last entry. Sorry if I offended anyone or freaked anyone out, but I was really upset when I wrote that. I appreciate all the comments I got -- over 50! I didn't think people cared for me that much and knowing that people do really makes me feel so much better.

Anyway, I still haven't figured out how to pay for my game or my subscription and I'm really upset over that. Unfortunetly no relatives I know have credits cards or anything of the sort so I'm screwed. *sob* Oh well...I really wanted to participate in a Ragnarok event in-game that ends November 5. >.<; Okay, well, I have a few drawings in progress -- a new version of myself and my Halloween peice. Well my Deviantart subscription expires on Halloween and my Ragnarok Online game expires this Friday. I'm so pissed off because I went to ask my Dad to lend me his credit card and he said he has no money on it. Which is a complete and total mother fucking lie. I know he has money on his credit cards, he just doesn't want to give it to me because I stay up to ungodly hours of the night. I went to bed to 6am last night. They get pissed off because I don't have a job and I'm not doing anything with my life. I'm currently taking homeschool to try to finish this fucking High School bullshit and go to college. I don't want to get a job until I finish high school, but they keep pesterming to get a job. My mom us always fucking telling me to lose weight so I can be thin and pretty. WELL I FEEL PRETTY THE WAY I FUCKING AM!! If I have to lose weight to impress boys and find a boyfriend everyone can KISS MY FUCKING ASS! Because I'm not going to fall into the cycle of this fucked up society where almost all guys are SHALLOW ASSHOLES who only want thin and slutty girls. I'm sick of this life and all the shit I get. I don't have anyone to talk to. Anyone to lean on when I need it most. All I have is myself and sometimes I hate myself for being so weak and have failed so much in my life so far.

I'm sorry for ranting, but I have no where else to express myself. The computer is my life. My friends are here. Everything I'll never have offline is on this fucking computer.

Today I had a lot of fun. I had to say it was really different from my usual and repetative lifestyle. Woke up rather early for starters (11am!) and headed to IHOP with my family. Afterward I went immediately to the mall with my mom to buy Runee-chan a birthday gift for her party later that day (I got her a Nightmare Before Christmas blankie and a Victory Secret perfume gift set). Afterward I came back home and got ready for the party. Picked up on cookies and juice at the store on the way to Runee's party. Once there I had a blast. Ate tons of chocolate, cake and punched the bajeebus outta a penata. Mwahaha!! I also met ~nanshi and ~mikaeru! Which was very cool. I also got a behind the scenes look of Runee's old art and unfished art! Also got some comics read to me by a very animated Runee-Chan!! XD Twas very cool, but by the end I was dying of sleep deprivation. LOL! Thanks for the party *runeechan~! I had SO much fun. ^_^

My subscription runs out on Halloween. Blah! And I can't ask my dad for his credit card, because I recently used it for my Ragnarok game. Oh well. Guess I have to stick to banner adds and crappy service in the meantime. x_x; Anyhow... I'm currently holding a poll that I'd like everyone to vote in. I think its time for a chance. Something different. ^^ Something that fits more to my personality~ I know many people will have different thoughts and I'd really like to hear them. But in the end, whatever I decided I hope people aren't too upset over it. Thank you in advance to anyone and everyone who votes. I'm gonna try and get my trades in and whatnot and draw some gifts and a Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas drawings. It'll take me a while, but I'll get around to it. Deviant of the Week

~lushousgirl20's style and unique colouring skills stand out like a sore thumb! Lena has insane colour cordination and all her peices have fun bright colours and beautiful backgrounds. She has improved a lot since I met her and every new peice is something to admire. She has a big heart and soul and loves to give gifts to her friends. She's definitely worth to be in the spotlight.

Deviations of the Week


Painterly Ariel by *loish: A beautifully painted rendition of the lovable Little Mermaid, the Disney classic. This peice is so unique and I love it for its smooth colouring and uniqueness. It makes Ariel seem like she can easily come to life.
Vampire by ~thee: Very sexy painting of my favorite creature, a vampire. Dark and mysterious, you wonder if he's a good boy...or a bad one. The shading is surperb on this and I love his little peeking fang. ;3
My Little Pony by ~hibbary: Did you like MLP when you were a kid? Like dark stuff now? This is a great mix of the two. Bringing together darkness and angst and cute ponies into one dark little package.

*Carrie-Phox is an extremely talented artist. I have always admired her for her talent at colouring and has a very unique style. All her characters have their own personality and traits. Everything in her gallery has hours of work put into and I really respect her for it. She's been a real inspiration for me to try and improve my own skills. Definitely visit her gallery and devwatch her! She deserved it 10x more than me!

My Angelic Phox by *Carrie-Phox: Truly a masterpeice. Wonderfully blended colours and flawless lineart all mixed together to make a beautiful peice of that thats gentle on the eyes and just plain gorgeous.
Commission 10 by *Zyephens-Insanity: Drop dead sexy. The anatomy is so perfectly drawn and the detail is beatuful. Seymour Guado pressed against cold glass is just too hot. Drawn by a very talented bishounen artist, whom has many more peices of eye-candy in her gallery.

In other news...I've decided not to quit on account of lack of comments, favorites, etc. I took into consideration what people told me about how it doesn't matter how many comments/favs you get, it counts if you enjoy art and sharing it with others. In which I do like sharing my art.

I have a few projects in progress and I got a couple of new art supplies. Hopefully I'll be getting more soon. Anyway, I've created myself a boyfriend (as in, a character created by me), since unfortunetly I don't have a boyfriend and doubt I ever will. Heh...

Hopefully I'll get some fanart when I submit too. I'd love to see Remy (new character) and Tam (fursona) together drawn by other people. ;3
