Just created my account today. I've been wanting to join for a while now, as many of my friends locally are active on deviantART. I guess I should start by putting friends onto my watched list, or whatever the free version of the friends list is called. (such as Anne: a good friend, and the one who first linked me to this site way back when).

There are numerous other artists on here who've caught my eye as well. deviantART is home to some of the most talented artists I've ever had the pleasure to come across. I can't wait to discover more, as the stream of talented artists never seems to end. It's more a matter of, "Can I keep up?" ^^

As for putting my own stuff up, I'm not sure what to do. I love to take pictures, and photography has always been a love of mine. However, I have not had access to a sufficient quality (and/or SLR) camera in many years. My last one was stolen in 2000, so the only replacement I've gotten since then was a really low quality point-and-shoot digital camera.

This might change soon, though. And if it does, expect lots of pictures. Otherwise, I suppose I can always put up some poetry or writing. I've been in a creative slump lately, so maybe something like this will spark me to create again.
