I hope everyone who reads this steals my artwork and gains something out of it. Go ahead, make prints, make money if you can. Most of my art is either incomplete or not even worth it anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love and admire the way a lot of pieces turn out, but then again I enjoy watching a good game of Othello, Starcraft, or the efficiency of a program's code. I won't sign any my work, I will talk about how long it took though. I like the way a lot of it turned out, but now it's just sitting there like a completed jigsaw puzzle. I will deffinately make more pieces, but I just want everyone to know just how meaningless it all really is.

I remember drawing something on a whim for some art show thing on a projector, and someone commented their interpreted meaning from it. wtf, if art had "meaning" it just means the artist is full of themself enough to want meaning. God, it's just pixels. I hope anyone who gets meaning out of anything I draw just stops watching my artwork.

On another note, work has been pretty rough. I forgot just how busy I get on tour, and now that I have responsiblity over $2+ mil worth, 4 trailers (52' trucks), over 50+ people who I'm the boss of including an assistant, the load out of concessions, and if the numbers are off by even 1 cent I get an ear full of heat. During all of this, I have to argue with truckers, managers, building managers, the crew managers, security guards, truck docking security office workers, co-staff, and all the people that work under me. Otherwise, it's been fun. I haven't fired anyone yet, but I've come very close to. The 5 star hotels and all the travelling has been quite an adventure.

1 pm
The meet starts, and Boffo and I are immediately greeted by Av and others who gave us name tags that had weird versions of our names on em (she-ra and Boffoon). People there were cool as usual. Some new faces and a lot of old ones. Ninj sold t-shirt (I hate how I'm so broke...).
~3 pm
We all decide on a location and it's a neato highschool potlan knew of. We went in three groups: rz350 rode his motorbike with cosmic_bard on the back, Av connundrum potlan and I rode in connundrum's truck, and cosmic_bard boffo vince lostflock [chinese girl?] [guy that was driving?] went in a car. At this point Roadwolf had left the meet, but he said he'll be avail later.
We get to the building; it's insides looked like they had been spewed out the sides of the building to form a grandoise pile going as high as three stories all around the abandoned high school (I forget the name of it). We go around back into another lot with a muddy trail. The trail was awesome because everyone was worried the cars would get stuck. A small team of scouts first checked the building out while another team kept a close eye on a security guard sitting out front smoking a cigar. Once we found it was simple as honey roasted onion pie to get in we invited the rest. After a little while of checking crap out I told Av about a cool looking area on the second floor. I lead heading down the stairs to see Potlan just standing there. So I'm all like "dude...wtf...why are you just standing there??" then I hear "Can I help you?" in a booming voice from my left (Potlan is to the right of me) and I see the security guard standing there looking at me and Potlan (everyone else got away). He's a pudgy old man who looks like he couldn't win a race in the special olympics while on speed.
"We're just taking pictures" I say innocently.
"Yea? Do you have permission to be here?"
"Well it's for an art project for a class"
"What's the foreman's name?"
"I don't know, we're just here for the urban decay."
"hmm, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave.."
Potlan pipes up "Do you mind if we take some pics on our way out?"
"I don't see why not"
after a while of the security guard talking up a storm about "back in my day.." or "those crazy new ways of doing things..." we see Boffo and rz350 come up some stairs to our level.
"Are you guys in the class too?"
"uhm...yea.." Boffo says.
we have a bit more of the same crap.
"How many more are you in the building?"
"Dunno...a few.." I say.
Boffo gets a phone call from Av, they discreetly clear the situation with the other side. The security guard had mentioned how low the security is at (I forget the name, but it's the next place we go to.)
~5 pm
We head straight to a timmy's to talk about how the place was pretty cool and how strange the security guard was (he believed a Satanist group ran all the rullers through history). We decide it'd be cool to check out another place. I hear Boffo and bard mention a "plastics factory" and I put it out there and suggested it to everyone. Vince and flock decided to head home.
Once we get to the "plastic factory" it turns out to be some metal factory place that happened to actually be the place that the security guard mentioned. Boffo showed us the way in. It was very cool and huge, but unfortunately the sun was beggining to set; by the time we had checked out half the area it was already night. There was a working microwave and lots of power still in the building. Bard was looting and it was funny llike it was a UE shopping centre. We made our way down the halls checking awesome things out when Boffo pointed out a mini door above some stairs. I climbed up and shut the door. I then did a little act that made me look like a mechanical puppet in a haunted house. That's when we got the "wonderfull" idea to use fire extinguisher as a mist for my act. Oh god...it was horrible. One blow of that thing at me and I was caughing like mad with a tangy taste running through my taste buds like it was an olympic orgy on crack. I kept the act up despite the choking death that was fire extinguisher vapors. Afterwards we had to venture through a huge cloud of it down some stairs. As cool as it looked, it was choking death. Art thieves. By now you've probably heard some artist complaining about some person taking their art and posting as if it was their own creation. So in response to that they start getting really pissed and signing over everything they do. Jeez, c'mon people...lighten up... I find one of the biggest compliments is some artist trying to claim my work as their own. I draw because I draw. I may not be an artist so maybe I just don't understand, but I like to think about the fact that I've contributed an image or an idea to to the art world. If I draw something it was for the sake of having that image be seen and appear places, not so that people can see that I can draw well. I never attach my name to any of my art because it's art. I wouldn't feel right if I did.

To me it's like open source programming; contribute and have everyone access it. This way we can truly see the best art can be. If someone took my art and edited it so that it was better, I would be extremely happy. This is because instead of having this piece that was fairly good to my standards, it's even better now. See what we can achieve if we just work together?

I know this can't apply to every scenario. Lets say someone took your art and put it on a blog or something without giving you any credit. Who cares? I'd be complimented enough that people like it. Why do you just HAVE to have people know it was done by you? Seriously, I think it's all about greed.

Just recently, ~suprhppymgcprincesss had to put up with a warning that she is not liked because she was watching someone who had posted art they claimed was their own and it wasn't. wtf did she do wrong? She saw some good art and watched the person regardless of any other factor. Sure, the guy is a moron for posting other people's art as his own, but that doesn't constitute hating people watching him.

Just so you don't get me wrong, I think claiming other people's art as your own is just plain stupid. I play Othello (aka Reversi) often online. One day I was playing against a guy that was absolutely amazing! His moves were perfect and every way imaginable. I beat him in one game and he raved on about how impossible that outcome was. He eventually admitted he had been using a program so he could get a higher score. I thought to my self about that for a sec. I play because it's fun, not for the score, but this guy was playing for the score and not the fun! I mean wtf is up with that?! It's a fscking game for heaven's sake! *ahem*..anyway, I brought that up because it confuses me in the same way that claiming other people's art confuses me. I can see the benifits for some short term fame, but wtf do you do from there? I don't care if people steal my art, but if they stole my ability to create art I be pissed like hell (good thing they can't! That's why I feel safe). If you claim one of my pieces as your own you can't possible have a sense of acomplishment knowing that you didn't actually achieve what you're getting compliments for; and you can't really make more of the art either, so what then?

I don't see why people get so fscking pissed off when they're not going to get much. Please remember I'm referring to amatuer artists ONLY, I do understand copyright laws and the role art plays in a world of business and commercialism in general. The only ones you'll probably ever see making a big deal about it anyway are the amatuer artists.

As winter draws closer, I prepare for the battle of my life as I still plan to bike 160 km every weekend. I've been through storms, bugs, wind, heavy traffic, road hazzards, and none scares me like a blizzard. I've been in a blizzard with my bike before, it's not fun. So 80 km of blizzard will be even less fun. Nothing will stop me. Nothing will cut me short of my goals. And Sarah, I want you to know I'm never far from you.

Most of my good rides were when I'm heading towards Mac. I cross through four areas. I like seeing the signs on the way out because they've become markers on my route. I know where all the bikepaths are. I always go equiped. Passing through Bronte is fun because it seems there's a lot of cycling that goes on there, so all the roads support it. Downtown Burlington also supports a lot of cycling, I see races go on every so often. Whenever I see another cyclist they always smile and wave to me. A great ride I had was last night. I thought it would be bad because it was cold, 1 am, the trip home (of which I never find a good sense of motivation for); but it surprised me about how nice it was. My bodyheat was sufficient enough to keep me warm, the breeze was calming but I wasn't sleepy (I had gotten a bit of rest in the middle of the day), I enjoy listening to the waves on my route (I could hear them now that it was totally silent), and there were no cars on the road. It turned out to be one of my favorite trips!

Most of my bad rides were when I was heading home because I felt like I was leaving what I had worked so hard to get to earlier in that same day. One of my worst trips was when I feeling my bike break with every push. I had told Sarah that my bike wasn't going to last anymore. Sarah promised to spend a whole day with me, so I couldn't give up just because the bike was falling apart. I had woken up around 6 am (Sept 7) and I packed my supplies and head off on the road. I found the bike to be very tough on me. I had broken a sweat before I could even finish a single km of the 30 ahead. It didn't look good at that point. Upon descending a slope I decided to see how badly my bike was riding. I stopped pedalling and within seconds I went from 10 km/h to a dead 0 km/h! It was a downhill slope! Not much of a slope, but a slope nonetheless. With around 20 km to go I was nearly fainting. Panting like mad riding on a bike with a paddle bent from fatigue to an extremely obtuse angle and a bent up tire rim. My handlebars were beggining to come loose, and the brakes would hardly stop the bike. After several hours of what felt like a full on running sprint for the 30 km, I finally arrived. As I walked to Sarah's dorm I looked back at the bike and said "I cannot ride that home..." and left the problem untill nightfall. Once the day was over I got on my broken bike and rode it to the Hamilton GO. Sarah had given me some money to take it on the GO. Sarah's always very kind to me. I figured I'd ride it on the GO and get it repaired when I get home. At least the pedal, because the bent pedal bothered me THE most. On the way to the GO the pedal broke off, so I said "meh" and walked in. I asked the lady about a GO train from Hamilton to Oakville and she said there's no train at this time. So then I asked about other times and she only repeated. She told me about a GO bus I can take, but it will not take the bike. I locked my bike up thoroughly and jumped on the bus. The next day my mother offered to pick up my bike for me. Once we got to the station, to my dismay, there was no bike. I walked in and asked about the bike and the guy told me to call 911 to report the theft. My bike had been stolen!! On the way back my mother offered to take this moment to pay back for the $2000 I lent her. We walked into the bike shop and I asked for a good, fast, long distance bike that costs under $1000. The lady showed me a few models and I picked the "Rocky Mountain Metro" a handmade durable long distance racing bike with a hybrid frame for around $800! I'm no bike expert, but this bike was THE greatest bike I have ever had the pleasure of sitting on. My 2.5 hour bikerides to Hamilton quickly turned into less than 1.5 hour rides! So at that point I remember thinking "I hope whover stole my bike is pissed about it being so broken."

Now when I visit Sarah I laugh at the hills that killed me going up because I'm at least 20 km/h constantly throughout my trips! I don't even sweat like crazy, and I can't say I've been exhausted yet. This bike is a dream, and I have a dream "U" lock to go with it. The lock even comes with chords for the wheels as well as frame safety.

This week I've biked to Hamilton from Oakville twice. And I plan to do so every week until April. I even have maps that I made for my route. On my last trip to Hamilton I visited the Royal Botanical Gardens. These gardens are so beautiful! I want to get a membership for Sarah and I so we can visit often. It makes me sad that Sarah's "gone", but I think I've fixed our problems if I just bike over often. Hopefully the trips won't become the death of me. I had to try extra hard on my last trip because I had biked around 20 km of it with what felt like a migraine. I was actually keeping an eye out for safe places I can fall if I were to trip up on the bike. Well, I'm pretty sure that won't happen often so I'll still bike. Even if I thought it would happen often, I would still bike it all every week. Storms and Blizzards will only slow me down, but I'd keep going. I have tools that can fix almost every problem on my bike making my backpack weigh 20 something pounds. Nothing will stop me.

Sarahs gone to a cottage and then to uni. :'|
This is that point in the summer where I care about nothing. I'm afraid this'll hurt me a lot, but I think we can hold on still. My muscles hurt. I feel tired. My motivation is beggining to detract. She's been gone a day, but already I am feeling sick.

I'm sorry for my lack of participation in anything except my workout plan! I don't draw much. I don't want people to think I draw often. Some think of me as an artist, but I do not consider myself one.

Recently I have joined the GIMP group here on DA, unfortunately I don't know how to make little links and I doubt html would work. The very nice leader of the group had featured my artwork in a journal of theirs as well! It's great to see other supporters of the GIMP for genuine art. If you want to go to their group I think it's "~the-gimp" or something.

Visit Epilogue.net! I only got one pic in the sci-fi section, but I drool over EVERYTHING on the site! I heard they had pop-ups and banners though. I never see any pop-ups or banners on any site ever so I wouldn't know. :\
