Today I intend to do some photography, im awaiting a battery recharger from ebay so I doubt I can take many shots.

Theme of the day - Flowers
Todays intention is to take some photographs of flowers and edit them using digital techniques.
Today, I have found some free software that let you make some interesting effects. One of which is called Apophysis, the only downside is that it takes some time to render the work you have created. Im currently reading up on if work that is created from this software can be used for commercial use.

I currently have a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ8 which has 12X optical zoom and is about 7MP. When I shine it to the light I get weird lines down the LCD which isnt very nice. Although it still takes nice pictures.

Ive gone out and bought a compaq camera for when I go on holidays, this one is a 10MG 5xZoom called a Samsung s1050 which is really nice. Takes stunning shots and easy to manage. I needed to get one that had the option of manual exposures etc. I like doing all that stuff myself.

Anyway, Im not sure If I should sell my panasonic and save for an SLR because ill be without a camera with a large zoom for some time. Being student and all.

My conciderations are the Cannon 350d, 400D or head towards Nikon. Looking at a budget of around 300 to 400 smackers.
