Saturday:
- Finished my Chinese exam, and quickly hopped down to the TCC. Was kinda sad that my Naminé and Sora were both missing, but I had a ton of fun that I didn’t mind too much.
- Met up with ~Novitano, Kev and Dave. Scary old-man Aang and cute Sakura/Syaoran at the cosplay chess!!
- Stalked people with AMAZING costumes in the Dealer’s Room. Got a picture with gorgeous Riku and Sora separately, and then heard that earlier on in the morning they got it on in front of a whole crowd of people during the KH group photo. YAOI PADDLE PLZ.
- Went nuts over everybody’s artwork over at Artist’s Alley. Picked up a little of everything, and dropped by the Cawthra table, but sadly didn’t get to meet ~shumasaharu. >__> Btw, I brought your last Ike keychain~!
- Went hat-crazy. Novi rather liked his Dumberdore one, while Kev geeked out with his Cactar hat and Dave looked like a Chinese tourist with his. Kairi tried on all hats, even the little funny headband one that looks cute but has absolutely no use. Those are WIN .
Sunday:
- Spent a while hunting for Spec Ops. Todd’s mom, stop hiding, we know you’re in the back!!!
- Patrolled around, but just generally goofed off. Creepy staff guy/stalker = not fun. Nononoes. D=<
- Vic went missing around this time, so Dave went off to look for her while Novi and I meandered around:
- Mechayard Wars, and Ed the Sock. That was some crazy SICK stuff, and I got a picture with a HalloweenTown Sora and Ed’s pretty assistant while I was at it. ^^ Oh, and the Brokeback Mecha boys were much love too.
- More costume stalking, but my camera was already emitting smoke so I took a break and started book-hunting. Kudos to David for buying me that screentones book!
- A Naruto-pickpocket was running around, so we spent some time looking for him. Couldn’t Spec Ops have been more specific? >=[

Random stuff:

A lot of people as I passed by called out “Hi Kairi~!”, which was pretty cool, but a little awkward because I froze and didn’t know how to respond. Fun stuff, though.
I managed to force two friends cosplaying as Zuko and Katara to get some Zutara-action!! ^_____________^ *fangirls* Oh, and we saw an amazing Aang and Uncle Iroh hanging around. And many Tophs. Many, many Tophs.

Quick rant here. Bare with me a bit. Okay, I can't help but feel that my art isn't really going anywhere. It's generic fanart every time I pick up a pencil. I love my anime a lot, but eh...my skills aren't improving. I need something to challenge me - maybe I should turn to realism for a while. What do you guys think?


In other news, Eyeshield 21 is THE SHAT. It makes me want to run out and play some footie right now - snow, night and exams be damned.
The characters! Hiruma totally rocks my world. He kicks some insane ass, evil little bastard. >3< Aha, I know I'm slow. This thing is so old, but who gives? I find myself grinning at the screen and spinning in my chair when they're winning. Dorkdorkdork, yes. Football + animu = pwn. End of story.
You know this is just SCREAMING for more fanart.


Oh yes, and Anime North! I'm going as Kairi, and my lovely friend Nancy and her sister are going as Namine and Roxas. We were going nuts over this today, comparing heights and making sure our stats and everything were the same. Looks like I need to grow an extra inch in 4 months.
And decide between dying my hair or properly dying my wig. It's pretty difficult to decide! See, originally when I bought my wig the red-auburn colour ran out at the shop, so I got this....weird....bright red-orange neon wig. 'Cuz I needed it for Halloween. 'Twas fun, since a lot of people thought I actually dyed my hair that colour, but it definitely wasn't the shade I wanted. Getting the proper materials to dye my wig costs quite a bit, and I'm wondering if I should just dye my hair instead, but then there's the obstacle of my parents as well... I don't think my father wants me to show up to Bible study with red "DEVIL'S HAIR OMGWTF. " (Yes, I know I abuse that emote.)

Two, my wallet got stolen. So, now I'm about 40 TradeShow bucks short, $20 of bus tickets gone, debit card/health card/library card/housekey nay. I was stuck outside freezing (so #$%^@ cold!!!) for half an hour in -30 temp.

Three. TradeShow crap. Oooo wonderful. We're at the end of her list, so we've been waiting three periods now for her to check out stuff. And when she finally does, most of the FG spots run out, and she doesn't even tell us what's wrong with out business card. Wooo.

Four. Family problems.

Five. Father is back. Wooo.

Six. Male teachers PMS-ing.

Seven. Gonna fail math (see #6 for details)

Eight. My @#%@ baritone got accidentally taken. So yep, me Ankiet and Sydney had to do some stupid Baaughchch essay because some idiot took our instruments.

So, we had the Valentine's dance today. Yeah weird, but my school always has their dances on the Friday before the holiday.
So yeah, me and my friends had a kick-ass time (for the most part), albeit some male stupidity involving a gay guy. Hm. After that, the express bus was late so we took the regular, but then we had to jay-walk BURNHAMTHROPE and DIXIE. That intersection is hella huge, and hard to cross. We almost died everyday last year trying to cross it.

Urg, I'm getting off topic. So, I went home really happy. Then I had this sudden urge to get the mail. Weird, I thought, but I got it anyways. I saw the Cawthra logo, immediately went high and practically leapt into the house, looking for a pair of scissors.

Their letter is HUGE LONG AND POINTLESS. Only about 4/5 down the page do they actually tell you that they aren't gonna accept you. Extreme suckage. REALLY.

At least I made it into Graydon - as ~rogue-alchemist put it - "ANOTHER 4 YEARS TOGETHER!!" Besides Bowen and ~WaveLight who got wait-listed, everyone else made it ^_^.

Still kinda down about the Cawthra thing though - but it's not gonna stop me from making art. Oh ho ho no. Not until my tongue, teeth, arms, legs and nose get cut off. No no no.

I'm currently applying to high school (psh, 4 of 'em....god, I'm such a nerd) so you won't be seeing any CG for a while...Not that I was updating a lot in the first place. Just sketches from my sketchbook for Cawthra. Hurrah.

My weird habbits/things:

1) I love watching cartoons! The people in my school think it's really childish..but who cares about them? I love the cute little classics, like Bugs and Tweety..

2) If nobody talks to me for like 10 seconds, I daze out and start staring at random things. Sometimes guys. Sometimes girls. Sometimes the ugly lunchtime supervisor called Mrs. Butt.

3) I love to spaz out and drone on forever and forever. A habit that i know I should stop but's it's kinda funny. It annoyes the hell out of my friends though, especially because I talk at inhuman speeds. I wonder if there's a term for really fast talking...knots?

4) I'd eat anything. Really. Cockroach, rat, paper....red ants. The rat and cockroach was gourmet food in China. the rat was REALLY good..yum. The paper and red ants were for dares. Actually, the weirdest stuff I've eaten I probably did on dares.

5) I'm maybe the only one out of my friends that don't/have a crush on a celebrity. I feel...so....alone. Very alone...

6) I can bend back and stick my head in front of me between my legs. Oh yeah martial arts!!!!

Anyways, I can't really use Photoshop right now, so, being the really weird person I am, will sumbit my many valentine's pictures just for the heck of it when I get them done. I know...WEIRDO!!! But they're so cute!..

I have a boyfriend!!! OMG I feel so giddy! Probably the reason I've been drawing romance pics non-stop for the past 36 hours. Really loving it...even though my parents will kill me if they find out. About him. And the fact that it's 12:00 and I'm still drawing pictures.

My school had our second info night tonight...I was a greeter. My feet hurt so much from standing for like 2 hours straight! My fingers have like thirty thousand little paper cuts, and I never want to say, 'Hello, welcome to the IBT info night!' again. Ever.

As if I don't enough to do already...I really would like to do a trade, or a collab with someone. Like, anything. If I don't know it, I'll research it. Once, I spent a whole night reading up what FMA was about and the characters and stuff.... Just to forget who I was doing the pic for. Stupid me.

So begging my mum is first on the list. I first gotta start going to more practices though...I can't have both. Next...Taylor, I need the lyrics dammit! I can't write the notes unless I have the lyrics! Oh yeah, I can't go to Blue Mountain, so..um...maybe, film at Jack Darling Park??

Oh..I found my old sketch book again! I'm testing to see how well I can do justice to a drawing with just pens...And I kinda need clothing designs for my comic/story thing. 4) How the heck do you do a proper cartwheel?????

Oh. My. Gosh. I never realized how big deviantart is! And the result of browing around for endless hours is my art project (as well as other homework) not being finished, a computer stuffed full with picture and my second commission being abandoned.
But some of this stuff is so awesome!!! And even though I'm a huge fan of many cartoons and anime, my hand just won't obey me to draw anything. Plus my mind is completly blank. My house is so non-insperational!!!

I am so mad at my OT!! I did everything I was supposed to do, they forgot the visual, last question, lost the rubric and didn't type up the script.
Which is totally why Taylor and I are splitting up our OT. No teamwork at all. Oh, besides the fact that we can't tolerate Asad. Sweet god that Taylor step up the meeting with Majeau, or else I'd explode halfway through the year...

On a happier note, I have my radio/alarm clock back!! My mom took mine and never gave it back... grr. It takes me a million years to wake up, and that's with my brother trying!

My art poster is due tomorrow, all I've done is the line art for the centre and the border out line. I'll take a pic and up load it later.

Speaking of uploading... I have like a thousand old pic I need to up load on Deviantart! i've been neglecting this over the summer, and now my files are stuffed full!!
