After a month long seclusion in a bakery with nearly no other contact but my boss and co-workers, it was really nice to geek out with people.  I also had loads of fun doing commissions.  I was lucky this year to have minimum commissions involving 18+ content and a whole lot more original characters and some long out of touch fandoms (from me that is).

In recent events, I finally acquired time to work on commissions.  As to why!  I am done night school and now only have to focus on my work schedule and the two remaining bridal shows in Toronto!  There's only two more to go and I have more cake designs to finalize before the month is out.  HUZZAH!

I'm also doing work for the local anime convention's mini event for halloween.  So my schedule since the weekend until thursday will be looking like something like this:

Anime Syracuse is a one day convention in Syracuse, New York.  I had the privilege of attending it last year and returned this year to participate as an artist.  The convention was held at the State Fair grounds and has a very friendly setting.  I guess that's why I came back again this year.

Lately, I've seen some really strange ones that ended up being really meaningful.  My two favourites would probably be a series that came out just last season called "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai" (Anohana in short)  and a somewhat older series called "Angel Beats!".  Both were recommended at random to me and both were surprisingly good.
