I did not know this before. So, I just uploaded it.

Speaking of school... I just finished two classes that I loved. I took "Digital Imaging for Web and Multimedia" and "Information Design". I loved these classes! They were amazing. I now have a little less than a week of free time which I am looking forward to. When I start back on October 5, I am taking Elementary Algebra T_T (insert dramatic doom music here). I stink at math so badly. My brain is like a sieve when it comes to math facts. I am so nervous about taking this class.

In other news, my family and I found a house to move into. The layout could not be more perfect. My mom and my grandma's rooms are right next to each other on one end of the house and my room and the guest room is on the opposite end of the house (the kitchen and living room separate them). I am going to be really excited to have my own bathroom. Right now, I share one with my grandma. It is not so bad except for the shower head... I am one of those people that like to be drenched with water in the shower because I have long hair and I kind of need it to get the soap out. My grandma on the other hand hates water and feels like she is drowning if she is drenched in the shower. So, we installed THE WORST energy saver shower head ever for my grandma. It is so bad that it feels as though I am being urinated on when I am in the shower. So, I will be glad to have a normal shower head. Anyway, we will be renting the house full time. Our landlords are the nicest people which is just the icing on the cake. We move in on October 5th and 6th.

The 5th is ironically the same day that I start horrid Algebra. T_T So, this week, I will be trying my best to get my entire room packed. I am the type of person (probably due to OCD) whereby I cannot stand to be working with a mess around me. It drives me nuts and I can't focus on my work. All I can think about is cleaning up the mess around me. My boyfriend has been nice enough to agree to help me get my entire room moved over into the house and completely set up this week so that on the 5th, I can relax in my room and get my schoolwork done in a non-chaotic environment (of course, I will be helping when I finish my schoolwork for the day). I will be helping my mom and grandma a lot during these next 2 weeks because my mom has a pain pump installed in her side which drips morphine directly into her back and my grandma is 85. So, needless to say, I have to be the one helping out the most because my mom and grandma can't do very much. Anyway, I am really excited about moving. I love the house. I hope you guys have been doing well?

I had only 3 weeks for summer vacation. The first of which, I felt like being lazy. The second 2 weeks, I was in Hawaii which was amazing! I had so much fun! My sister and I went snorkeling, flew over the volcano, horseback riding, and so much more. I will probably tell more in a future journal. I have been working so much on the computer for school that once I finish my work, I am offline and hanging out with my friends. I feel as though I NEED to get out of the house when I finish my work because I am generally inside all day. So, needless to say, I haven't been on DA for a while. I haven't been creating much recreational art either. However, I have been creating projects for my class "Fundamentals of Design". So, I will be submitting those projects.

On another note... I will be moving pretty soon. My sister is going off to college and our house is too big for just my mom, grandma, and myself to keep up, so we need to downsize. So, I will be busy cleaning out my room, closet, and anywhere else that I need to. That is really all that has been going on though. Toodles for now.

It is an introduction to online learning. So far, I like school a lot. Everything is online which is really neat. I can go at my own pace and spend as much time working on an assignment as I like (just as long as I get it done by the due date). My major is Interactive Media and Web Design. The "interactive media" part has to do with computer programing and the "web design" part is regarding typography, logo design, color theory and everything aesthetic. I am starting out as a 3/4 time student which is in between full and part time. The school year is divided quarterly; each quarter containing 2 sessions. At this school, instead of taking 4 classes at a time for 11 weeks, full time students take 2 classes per session each spanning 5 1/2 weeks. Since I am a 3/4 time student, I will be taking 1 class the first session, then 2 classes the next session thus finishing 1 quarter. I am so happy that I am going to this school.

The main reason the government should extend a "helping hand" (lol sorry, lame joke XD ) to the adult industry is because the adult industry is actually good for the economy. Yes. Truth be told, porn is "stimulating" (sorry, couldn't help myself) to the economy. The porn industry is good for the economy because it creates job opportunities and adds to government revenues. In fact the porn industry's revenue exceeds the combined revenue of ABC, CBS, and NBC. Don't believe me? Look here: [link] . Just in California alone, the adult industry provides people with 26,000 jobs. Each of these employees pay state income tax which increases the state's revenue. In the exotic dance industry alone, employees make 5-6 times the state's designated minimum wage. In fact, dance clubs bring in approximately $500,000 to local governments in tax revenues.

On a slightly different note, I get sick of people saying that the adult industry "exploits women". This is absolutely absurd because why would any women (in a country who does not force them into sex slavery) choose to willingly become an adult film actress of their own free will if they were being exploited? In fact, first off, let's just examine the name we give these actresses: "Porn Stars". This title is not only glorifying to the women but the word "star" psychologically portrays them as untouchable by anyone other than the male porn stars. This turns them into an idol lusted after by men who know that they would never stand a chance with them in reality. This seems very self gratifying to the women themselves. But the concrete rather than psychological evidence proving that the adult industry does not exploit women is that it is indeed the only industry in which all women make more that the men. In fact a well established female porn star can make anywhere from $10,000 - $14,000 per scene (depending on what is in the scene) and $500 - $3,000 per scene if they are just starting out. Men, on the other hand, make about $100 - $300 per scene if they are fairly well established (this is not including the superstars who make about as much as the women because there are hardly any in comparison) and have to work for free when they are starting out. So, who is getting exploited here?

Anyway, this wraps up my little rant. I hope you found it thought provoking if not, at least mildly interesting and/or entertaining. Sorry, I don't feel like writing a proper conclusion.

My absence began about early to mid November. My boyfriend asked me if I wanted to help him mask off a 2 story house so that he could paint it. So, naturally, I accepted. I was down there from that Sunday to Wednesday when I went to pick up my new computer (it is amazing and I love it ). Then I had to make it back up the mountain for my Speech class. One of my best friends was back in town that week so we hung out on that Friday. The same day, I got a call from my boyfriend (who was still down on the job) saying that the lady didn't like the paint color that she chose (it turned out too yellow). He had already painted the downstairs, so this was a major setback. I went down again to the job to help him. This took much longer than expected. The entire time, I was working and also away from a viable source of internet. The neighbors all had locks on their wireless routers. We ended up getting driving back home literally on Thanksgiving day.

I then had to study super hard for my written final for my Speech class and begin writing my final speech presentation. The following weekend, we went down the mountain again to the Nokia theater in Hollywood to see Celtic Thunder which was amazing. In case anybody doesn't know what Celtic Thunder is, allow me to explain. Celtic Thunder was put together by a director from Ireland. This director held auditions for the show "Celtic Thunder" and picked 5 guys (all Irish) to sing songs suited to their particular style. Some of the songs were written by the director, others are old favorites, and one was even written by one of the singers. One of the 5 guys was only 14 when the show began (now 15), another is probably in his 20's, two are in their 30's and the oldest is in his 40's. Anyway, the show was amazing! I was so glad to be able to have seen it.

I then had to work on my final Speech. It went really well. I am awaiting my final grade in the class. I was also working on my History final. Then my college finally went on winter break. Yay! (I'm ecstatic.) While all of this has been going on, I have been applying to Art Institute in hopes of transferring from my current Junior College. The person who was assigned to me as a student adviser has been less than helpful. Thankfully, I just got a new adviser and like him so much better. I am currently trying to work out the FAFSA forms. During the past 2-3 weeks, I have been over at my boyfriend's house most of the time. I have been helping his grandma clean their 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom house which also has a laundry room, office, game room, living room, dining room, and kitchen with attached bar. (The house is obviously too much for three people to clean). He has internet access on his computer, but his computer hates me and keeps freezing every time that I go on DA which is really lame. It works whenever he wants to go on DA though. :rolls eyes: I'm not sure why that is; I don't click things repetitively or do anything to mess up the computer which is why I'm convinced that it hates me. I try to feed off the neighbor's wireless router, but the signal is so weak that DA doesn't load. DX

Last week, we got dumped on by 4 feet of snow. It was falling at a rate of about a half inch every 10 minutes and the plows waited until the roads were full of cars that became trapped in the snow and a VONS truck jack-knifed on a turn we refer to as "dead man's curve" before they started to actually plow. By that time though, the roads had to be closed because it was like a disaster zone. My sister's car got stuck in the school parking lot because when we had the tires replaced, the people put the wrong tires on it and so it messed up the all-wheel drive. We called AAA and was told that there was a 3-4 hour wait for the ski resort parking lots alone and that they weren't even giving time estimates for the people stuck in town. Update: Today I finished submitting all of the pieces that I made in my first semester of ceramics. Tomorrow, I will be submitting all of the pieces that I completed in my second semester of ceramics. I promise my second semester work is a lot better than my first semester work. ^_^

Update #2: I submitted one of the pieces that I made last semester. I am going to submit the rest of the pieces later this week hopefully. The rest of today I have a friend over who will be going back down to his college and I probably won't see him again until winter break. So I'm spending the rest of the day with him. Tomorrow, I have to go down to my college to see a councilor and the following day I have to go back down again to sell my books back to the college. I live an hour and a half away from the college campus, so the trek back and forth may take all day. On Friday I get my wisdom teeth taken out and will probably be knocked out the rest of the day. But I am hoping to get some submissions done my the end of the week; I just don't know when.

Update #3: I got my wisdom teeth removed today. The procedure went well. I've responded to some, but not all of the comments, deviations, etc. that I have. I will try to get to them tomorrow but as for now, it is 10:39 P.M. and I have to get some rest. I'm also going to try to post another ceramic item tomorrow, but anyway, I'm going to bed.

A: Hell No. My body personally is extremely sensitive to any kind of toxins so I would probably die if I even tried it. My body is so sensitive that I got drunk off of Bananas Yvonne which is a desert comprised of 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with bananas,
whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and has a small amount of Kahlua poured over it. I've also hallucinated after being bit by a supposedly non-venomous house spider. Seriously, I didn't even know that I was bitten until much later when I found the bite mark. Pathetic, I know. The other reason is my family has a history of addictive personalities so I don't want to do anything that might get my hooked on it. Not to mention it is terrible for your body anyway and I would not want to put my body through that in the first place. ^^



Q: Abortion: For or Against?

A: I'm for abortion up to the end of the first trimester. I personally don't think that the soul enters the body until after the first trimester and up until after that point, it is still just a blob of cells. Plus, what if the mother was 11 and was raped? I think it should still be a choice because this is a matter of ones personal ethics. If someone not ready to have a baby gets pregnant, and doesn't believe in abortion, it is their choice to have the baby. But the option should still be there for everyone else to decide for themselves.


Q: A 2 month old child and a 65 year old man who has the cure for cancer but hasn't had a chance to announce it yet. One of them has to die.

A: If the baby's sacrifice can save the lives of thousands of people, then the baby should die. Think of all the babies and small children with cancer.


Q: Would our country fall with a woman president?

A: No. I think that she should be careful about making big decisions around ahem... that time of the month because lets face it ladies... we know how we get. ^^


Q: Do you believe in the death penalty?

A: Yes. I actually think in some ways it is more humane than life in prison because of the whole solitary confinement thing. People who are put in prison without solitary confinement, if they have done the really bad stuff, usually get horribly beat and maimed before the other inmates kill them. Death row inmates are on solitary confinement. In the state of California, most death row inmates die in prison before they are executed anyway.


Q: Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?

A: I would never do it. But, I think that it should be legalized but an age limit of 21 should be put on it and no one should be allowed to drive while on it.


Q: Are you for or against premarital sex?

A: I am neither for nor against it. I think that it should be a person's own personal decision.


Qo you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

A: Definitely. I think if two people are in love, they have every right to be as happy (or unhappy) lol JK as any other married couple in the world. I mean seriously, this is a free country and there is a separation of church and state. What right do we have to limit the happiness and freedoms of others just because some of us think it is morally wrong? I think the choice should be there. If you don't agree with the choice, you don't have to do it.


Q: Do you think its wrong that so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?

A: Not really. I found out recently that they contribute more money to the economy than they take away.

A: I think that it should be the girls decision, and no one else's. I don't have the right to judge her nor do I have the right to tell her what she should do about it. I think people can give advice or tell her what they would do, but ultimately it is her decision.

A: No. There would be too many problems that could occur from that. There are already enough restrictions on teen drivers, this would just make more. There are already enough alcohol poisoning related deaths as well.

A: I think that we should start pulling out, but slowly. We still need to fix the mess that we made over there.

My family's tradition is to open two gifts Christmas Eve, then eat a ham dinner, and lastly, open all of the rest of the gifts. Christmas day is my grandma's birthday, so we always save a couple gifts for her to open on Christmas Day. Christmas Day morning, we open the gifts that "Santa" left for us by the fireplace. Yes, I know I'm 19, but "Santa" still visits our house.

Conspiracies - Santa or Satan?

It's a worrying thought that the jolly old man who kindly delivers presents to millions of children around the world could be in fact be the Devil.

Consider the evidence:

Both use manipulation to get what they want, they just use different methods. Parents warn that if the child is not good, then they won't get any presents. Similarly, this isn't too far from religious threats that unless you do this or that you will go straight to hell.

The jolly fat man traditionally comes down the chimney. Likewise, the Red Horned Dude lives in the fiery pits of hell.

Both of their favorite color is red.

Both employ slave labor to aid their cause. Santa has his elves, while Satan has his demons.

No one has ever been to and returned from either Hell or Santa's workshop to tell their tale.

If an ordinary person were to break into a house, creep into a child's bedroom, they would be arrested and spend a very long time in jail! Father Christmas is a persistent offender and has never been brought to justice.

Finally, just to give it all away, "Santa" is a piss-poor anagram of "Satan"!

Next Christmas you may want to brick up your fireplace and poison the mince pies.
