However, that did not come to pass... oh well. Maybe next year.

Instead, had a table next to ~blix-it! Much fun was had in our little corner of the Island Known As BB.

Got a couple of suggestions for the AA staff for how to make this a more streamlined procedure and I'll probably email or post to the forum... for all that good it will do.

Spent Sunday night in Baltimore, and had dinner at Edo Sushi in the Inner Harbor (I HIGHLY recommend the Black Dragon Roll, Sakuramaki, Asparagus/bacon yakitori, the iced green tea, and the green tea and red bean mochi ice cream.... SOOOOO good!!!! My friend Amy and I stuffed ourselves silly on ridiculously good sushi and then bought fudge before watching the street performers for a while.

Amy also got me hooked on Kuroshitsuji ("Black Butler")... damn her! I'm doomed to being suckered into another series! ACK!

Anyway... flight home delayed due to bad weather, so I worked up a couple of rough sketchy things while sucking down WAY too much overpriced airport lounge coffee.... but had seats A,B, and C of row 15 to myself once we boarded the flight. That was pretty cool.

Rediscovered that there is NO good part of Miami International Airport, but at least I know the maze like the back of my hand, so random construction and various concourse detours, while resulting in a mile-plus hike through the airport to get from my plane to bagagge claim, I found myself at the head of the expedition leading a number of lost and weary travellers like some kind of tour guide. Was rather amusing...

Home now... and have to figure out what to do about the three cons I have to mail to before attending AFO in Orlando at the end of the month since I left my entire stock of prints with ~kemonoart who was kind enough to schlep them home with him to help me make the weight limit on my luggage. Thanks, ~kemonoart!

Now? Need sleep... and to try and replicate Edo Sushi's iced green tea... not neccessarily in that order.

Good grief, I had not intended to disappear for so long!

I went on vacation to San Francisco at the end of October (had a WONDERFUL time), came back and got a new job.

So, since I got back I've been adjusting to new job hours (means less time on the devchat channel since I'm in bed by 11pm now.... *pout*), new work schedule (hell, HAVING a work schedule at all) and attempting to find SOME kind of free time in the meantime (needless to say, I have not been very successful on that last front).

But, all that said, I think I'm finally starting to adjust. Now, if I could get back to drawing, since I need to finish up my holiday card design so I can get them in the mail, all would be well... well, mostly all, anyway, but that's neither here nor there.

Quickie little post to assure anyone keeping up with me that I still live, just stOOpid kinds of busy and absent-minded.

To all the Americans on dA: Happy Thanksgiving! Go forth and enjoy the obscene amounts of turkey, stuffing, and pie and then go sleep off your tryptophan overdose! *cheers like a Muppter* YAY!

To all non-Americans on dA: Happy Thursday, November 22nd!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, no matter where you're from, enjoy your friends and family and all the good life because tomorrow is the First Christmas Shopping Day of the Year, and I have to go to work.... and I'm SCARED of all the crazy shopping-type peoples..... *scared*

I just uploaded a picture of the handcrafted suede and silver bracelet I made in memory of the mother of a dear friend. The bracelet itself is up for auction over on eBay:

Bracelet auction

As noted in the sallers note, 50% of the winning bid of this bracelet will be automatically deducted by eBay and go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

One in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. We can better these odds by continuing to support those who devote their time and efforts to making advances in early detection and treatment.

Please, spread the word about this auction, and other breast cancer awareness issues.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but the cause continues when the month is over. Please support the efforts of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and others like them. We may one day see a cure and every little bit helps.

Silvertales @ LJ

So, if you're interested, or know someone else who might be, pop on over and let me know!!! There are lots of pretty shinies up for sale that I need to get rid of. They are all in excellent condition, but I'm either not interested in them anymore or they're just taking up room when they could go to a good home!!!!

Holy Molies.... the Queen of Procrastination has actually, finally uploaded something!

Yup.

So, there are now a few deviations in my gallery (the most recent stuff), and I hope to get some more of my better stuff up sometime soon in between updating my website and attempting to work on a few sketchy-like-things.

Other than that, I'm not really sure how to treat the dA journal feature. I mean, I have an LJ and I usually post random daily stuff over there, and it seems as though most people's dA journals aren't really daily journaling-type, or maybe its just the users that aren't the daily journaling-type.... dunno.

Wish I had a cane-sugar root beer... I'll have to go buy some tomorrow. I like peppermint tea, but if I drink anymore, I'll explode.

So... about that progress I mentioned a few days ago... yeah.

As you can see, there hasn't actually BEEN any progress to speak of, but I have been So Stoopidly Busy with Real Life stuff that I have barely had a chance to even sit at my computer, let alone actually DO aything with it.

But, I got my art out the door for AWA yesterday, and I need to get my art matted to send for NDK and I'll have some time to breathe.

I certainly hope I can start uploading stuff soon (and maybe even WORK on art *gasp*), and FINALLY get around to visiting all the lovely people I've met through various cons here on dA. *blush*

YasumiCon is now over, and I met some very cool people, a number of whom are deviants, too.

Now that the con is over and I have a break until NDK, I'm hoping to update my website and upload some artwork to this account. Got to finish some commissions, too. *ack!* So far behind schedule!

So, not much really going on here, just T I R E D after the con and trying to settle my tummy after eating too much sugar today (whoa... DokiDoki cafe's cupcakes and iced cookies).
This thing on?

Anyway, I am finally going to start posting stuff to DA (once I get back from AFO this weekend, and I can breathe a bit before YasumiCon).

I met a sOOper-fabulous artist at Otakon (yanimator) who gave me so great advice on working in both PS and Painter, and I'm hoping to try this out on the next new piece I want to finish.

Dropped off a commission to blinking a little bit ago and got to catch up with her, which was fun. Hopefully, we'll have an AnimeNight after AFO so she can come, hang out, and say hi to some people.

Just kind of wanted to have a journal entry up to say hi to peoples.

One of these days I'm going to learn how to make my DA page look all spiffy with original art for my journal and an actual DA id icon.... O.o;;;;;
