I just spent the last 3 and a half hours working on a oekaki, it was fantastic, it was awesome, I've never done one that good before, I'll probably never do one that good again. It had TWO EYES! Eyes that LOOKED LIKE EYES! I never do that! Then I hit save and FOR NO APPARENT FUCKING REASON it all vanished! FUCK SHIT DAMNIT!

I am so pissed off, I actually nearly cried. I mean, I have sat here and not gone anywhere for nearly FOUR HOURS. My HANDS HURT DAMNIT! My back is killing me.

It's such a trivial thing to get angry about, but I am in physical pain, so it's allowed.

Fuck you oekaki, I'm not going back.

I cleared out nearly 200 news posts and am down to 200 journals. I've cleared people off of my watch list too, as my interests change and such. Once I'm finished, I can finally get back to actually paying attention to what people are doing. Amazing! I know!

I desperately need some critique, so anyone who has the time to look through my gallery, I'd appreciate it.

This was going to be a better entry, but I don't have as much time as I thought I did.

Anyone know any good Oekaki sites? preferable with little-to-no neopets action and friendly to beginners. I've done maybe one oekaki in the last 3 years and I was never that good to begin with. If at all possible, maybe a newer one, so it has less members and a more friendly environment, I always get iffy about joining any site that's well established.

I bet most of us out there have had it drummed into our heads for years and years now. Well, I hat to come to terms with just how true it was today.
I can't draw anymore. I suck. I've gotten so used to this 3/4 profile, turning towards the (my) left, body in a similar fashion, that I simply can't do anything else, it all ends in a big scribble. 3/4 profiles were always my strong point, but when I try to do a right facing one now, it feels like trying to draw with my left hand. It's considerably better than a left-handed drawing, but that isn't my point. I can't believe this, it takes an intolerably high amount of effort for me to draw a face-on picture, which I used to be pretty good at also. On top of this, I can't draw poses, I can barely draw someone with two arms, and all that time I spent practicing hands. Out the window, I may as well be drawing mittens. I can't do pairs of eyes, I mean I never really did, but that was because I didn't like to, not because I couldn't. Not that it makes much difference now.
I can just barely shade in photoshop now, everything just kind of ends up a huge blur of colour rather than actual shading. I think maybe I need to set aside some time for practice, eh?
