Monday-Mid morning, closer to afternoon actually. Aleetha is in the living room watching Sesame Street and I am currently looking up Victorian Patterns and corsets. Thisa (my best friend) is officially on board for The Labyrinth of Jareth's 13th Annual Masquerade!!! Heather -we'll see, she will be having a baby next year and I totally understand how that can be. We can always go the year after that!
I have been super busy lately. I'm currently making fliers and ad's for Jose's Party that I will be bar-tending at on Halloween. I am also doing a couple pictures. I think I will be also creating an image for and I am also working on my Halloween image-it's Japanese in style, but solemn and dark.
Aleetha and I are getting along better, I am being more patient, she is bending-lol which is wonderful. I love being with her everyday, we have so much fun!
I am also getting ready to move. Where you say? Not sure yet lol, we're still looking, there are many homes we like, but can only choose one, so still looking, but we have to be out by Oct. 31st. Matthew and I have decided it will be a couple weeks sooner than that. That way we have plenty of time to move in, clean the apartment, and be comfortably settled in time for Halloween. We have a lot going on at the end of October-moving out/Halloween Party-and the very next weekend we are going to Las Vegas for Thisa's birthday! Crazyness! So as for now I am boxing things up, throwing out old things we don't want. I mean we're no Hoarders lol-but we do have a lot of stuff accumulated over 6 years of living in this apartment. 6 years wow! I am a Leo-always ready for change, I love it, and I am beyond excited to get out of this apartment and into a nice big house. Aleetha can have the back yard she always wants to run around in, I can have a nice big kitchen and 3+ bedrooms yay! It's really exciting for us!

So all in all, life is looking up, considering just 4 months ago, Matthew and I both lost our jobs, no hope, no money, it was looking rather dire. But now things are looking up and I couldn't be happier! I do hope everyone is having some type of Joy in their life.

Is anyone else watching Vampire Diaries? I know- I shouldn't even be admitting I am, but I can't help it, it's my guilty pleasure. And since True Blood is over what the hell am I to do with myself?! I don't watch many television shows, the only one I find interesting is Hoarders on A&E. And now the CW just had to go and give me a hotty vampire like Stefan. I read the books-years ago, before Twilight, so if I keep hearing people call it a bite of Twilight I have to disagree. Vampire Diaries was written back in 1991! Twilight was over 10 years later, so....yeah. Yes I think it's sad they brought it out AFTER Twilight, but look what its done, it's caused an epidemic of Vampy wannabe shows! I've seen many people and writers say that the Vampires are back in style and haven't been since the 70's, but whoa, wait a minute, what about back in the 90's? They were around than, I think Vampires-every 10 years have a big show then they climb back into their coffins to wait another 10 years-and every hiatus causes people to create a new and more sophisticated vampire. I do find that part interesting and original. I mean who wants the same boring Victorian vampire every 10 years-they have to re-invent themselves too lol! So yes my guilty pleasure is a beautiful-teen-angst ridden-vampire love story. What can I say...nothing.

I can actually write this because my daughter is in the other room sulking. We haven't been getting along very well recently. I'm a new Mom, I mean I've never done this before. And I'm a new housewife too. I've never stayed at home and taken care of my child. Normally I work 40hours a week, drive about 2 1/2 hours back and forth to home and work, and we spend time until she went to bed. But now that we're both home, she has gotten quite unruly. She doesn't listen to me anymore, it's a lot of "I don't want to, NO, I can't." It's becoming really frustrating and really exhausting. I just want to cry. I spend hours with her in her room, playing with her and then I have to take care of chores. She gets mad when I leave her and she finds anything to get my attention (or I assume to believe is done to get my attention). First I had to take all her crayons, washable markers, and paintbrushes away because she used them on the walls. Now she has lost all privileges to my computer because last night whilst watching "Kipper" she somehow found a Hello Kitty bobby pin and proceeded to engrave into my brand new 22" monitor. I was beyond furious, but all I could do was be shocked. I had just checked on her! It was very upsetting. My husband consoled her and put her to bed and I just sat down on the couch wondering what the hell I did to get this? I know it's not her fault and I know it's not completely mine, "kids do this" they all say, but you're talking to a woman who's spent a great deal of her twenties working full time, in a relationship 6+ years with no children. Some day's I tell my mom, "I don't feel like I can do this." And she smiles and tells me I can. My husband always helps out, and always gives me very positive feedback, so I have strength all around me, I suppose I just haven't enough on my own. I know it's hard, and I'm sure it's much harder for those of you who have a few kids, you're probably thinking, "Honey, that's a cake walk" and you can go ahead and say that, my Mom use to because she had two little kids 19 mos. apart. But the multiples aren't for me. One is almost too much for me. SO, there's my rant. I love Aleetha with everything I have, but sometimes...I just need a break.

Sometimes I can get up early enough, help my husband out the door to work, make a cup of coffee for myself and sit outside for a little while and my daughter (and the rest of the world) stay asleep for just a little longer. And it's always nice. It's a time I like to take and attempt to meditate as best I can. A practicing Buddhist monk once told me that to meditate is to release all thought from the mind. I often grew frustrated after attempting this many times. He would smile and continue on as if nothing happened. Finally I told him there is too much in my mind for me to think about to clear it all out. He said it is far easier to say then to do. -.- So sneaky Mr. Monk. He really was. Anyway I decided that instead of pulling off the impossible (for myself anyway), that I would take one positive thing to think about, something generic, like sunshine, or the ocean, or a smile, and reflect on it, think about it and all it's positives. This was far simpler a thing to do. And it is what I attempted to do this morning. I believe I succeeded, for all of maybe 15 minutes. But I did try. I do believe I will be giving myself a reading today. I need to brush up on my tarot, study my cards more. I will be learning here and there, and my grandmother would like a reading, so I figured I shouldn't look so neophyte lol.

I do hope everyone has a wonderful Monday morning, no matter if it be busy or lazy. Let's all have a good week. And I leave you with a nice song by David Bowie-Never Let Me Down:

So now that I have more time on my hands I have decided to play dress up. Or more like Dress maker. I am going to start sewing. The way I have always wanted to, costume dress making. My grand mother is going to teach me. She has done some beautiful gowns for my mother when she was in high school and I would like to attempt a couple for fun. Then I would like to try this after my few practice runs:


Pretty eh? I love Victorian clothes, so beautiful, probably my very favorite. And if and I decide to go to Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade, then we need to look the part! I think I can do this!!

Then after making a couple of these and some other items, my goal is to attempt this one:




After I feel confident I am able to complete these, I may make a few to sell. I mean HELLO I went to Fashion Design school, all I really sucked at was draping, but I think if I apply myself I can do this. And with my grandmother and mom teaching me, I think I can do this!! Plus I can make pretty dresses to wear yay! I love dress up, and I can make some for Aleetha too! So wish me luck, it's my newest endeavor.

Last night I went to the Grove in Anaheim and watched The English Beat and Reel Big Fish. They were sooo awesome. I love The English Beat, they played Tenderness!!!! And of course some new stuff which I thoroughly enjoyed!! They also played the infamous Mirror in the Bathroom and that brought the house down. My best Friend Thisa, my Mom, and a few other of my friends all joined in and we danced till I swear my legs were ready to fall off. It was so awesome! My husband drove us there so we enjoyed more then our fair share of drinks, but it was all totally worth my minor hang over this morning lol! Reel Big Fish was awesome, they played their first album in it's entirety! I haven't danced like that in ages, ska is just too fun, made me remember when RBF came out in the 90's and I was in high school, too cool, good times! And that ends my Birthday weekend of excitement in turning 30! Here's to a wonderful adventure in my 30's and another 10 wonderful years behind me!

So turning 30 wasn't as critical as I thought it would be. Just like every other year I did not spontaneously combust, I did not cry my eyes out feeling sorry for my lost youth. Although it did make me reflect. I had fun with my little girl, then I went out and had drinks with some friends, came back home later and had some more drinks with friends and we watched old episodes of True Blood haha! It was fun. Sunday night I go see Reel Big Fish and ENGLISH BEAT ahhhh, I love English Beat, my Mom, friend, and best friend are coming with, I am so excited for that too! And I must thank my brother for his present, he got me some Itunes! Yay! And you know my first buy? David Bowies-Never Let Me Down Album. La~pleasure! It's my fav album and I had an old tape of the album, I remember I got it from my mom when it first came out, and I played it TO DEATH!!! My fav song is Shinging Star (Makin My Love)! My husband found a new job, and I have decided to go back to school to get my bachelors in Graphic Design. I know this is what I want, where I would like to continue. Life is good, I have many plans for the future. Some old friends have continued on with me and new ones have joined and I couldn't be more blessed.

So far this month has been nice and hot. I've been to the pool many times, burned a few times, but all in all I'm tan (yay), and Aleetha is learning to swim really well! I'm sure we'll go to the beach soon, I mean my god we only live 10 minutes from it lol! I just hate crowds. It's my 30th birthday this 30th of July ( o.o ) yeah I know SCARY!!! I'm old!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol j/k. I'm taking Aleetha to Disneyland that day, should be fun! And I'm also going to Dave & Busters that Friday night with friends! Whoo hoo, way to get plastered on my b-day lol!

ON a more political note, I know not everyone has the same views, nor do I expect anyone too, I couldn't live in a perfect world, but I have to say I just wonder sometimes why people are driven to a socialist point of view. I want the freedom to choose where I work, how I spend my money, and what type of healthcare I want. People who believe that this idea of Universal Healthcare is a good thing are IMO very dense. This will only become like many other countries that have this type of care. And it isn't pretty, believe me I know. Do you have friends in Canada and/or other countries with similar plans? Ask them, they'll tell you. Unless you live in some small town with a population under 1200 you're not going to even see a nurse for hours, and by hours I mean double digits, and I'm not lying about this! I guess in my heart of hearts I want people to be able to take care of their own, as my signature states: A government that can give you everything you want, is a government that can take everything you have. We are in a precarious time in history, I hope those people who've placed such blind unquestionable faith in this leader don't see their "hope" and "change" turned into nothing more then a terrible nightmare that we can't wake up from, this is reality and it is beyond important for people to give a damn! Please don't be offended by this if you are of the other decision, I know many are, and I'm no bleeding Republican, I am of neither party, but I do care what happens to myself and my family, and the future does not look bright, in any manner.

Good Solstice Everyone!
And Many Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! Love you Dad!

So yesterday I went to the Irish Celtic Fair in Irvine, it was pretty cool, we watched Sheep herders herd the sheep with some ultimately trained doggies, they were pretty awesome, we also watched many dance routines, it was funny all the girls wore silly hair pieces full of bouncy tight ringlet curls, we weren't sure the reason so we surmised it must be for maximum bouncyness lol! There were many vendors but I'd seen all the same Celtic jewelry elsewhere, some was just straight over-priced. I bought a new Pendulum while there, this lady had many of them, even a Jade one, and although I love Jade, it doesn't hold a charge well, I felt nothing from it as it was, but a very interesting agate type stone was literally humming to me the entire time, I took my time looking them all over, but that one was the most vocal, it was like "pick me pick me!" So I did. Now I have a beautiful pendulum again, and I cleansed it last night, Donna seemed to like it. Donna also brought some Tarot cards for I had forgotten mine, but I never got around to doing a reading for Christy, I needed my book anyway, so perhaps next time. Anyway we had much fun, it was nice to hang out with the girls again, I think we are coming together again to go see Harry Potter when it comes out!

So I'm sitting on the couch this afternoon, reading my book, and my daughter comes running up to the end of the couch and hugs my arm and she tells me, "You're my best friend Mommy." Nothing could make you more happy to be a Mom, she's happiness and sunshine all in one.

So I've been watching the E3 on G4 for the last couple days and I have to say the things I was most excited about were Assassins Creed 2 and Final Fantasy XIV. I have to say I love SquareEnix, they're like, yes we know our newest series from Final Fantasy isn't even coming out until 2010 but we wanted you to know about ANOTHER game. -.-

Come on man, stop freaking teasing me!! RAWR! I want a new game bad, and after beating Tales of Vesperia (which rocked by the way) I want something new. I want Final Fantasy 13! But the #14 in the series will be an MMO like 11, and that sounds exciting, considering I was a huge fan of the MMO 11. It was fun and Jax and I played for like what? 3 years? At least I did, I met Jax on that game, I think it was like my first day hahah, and I thought she was a guy, she showed me to the outside of good old San D'Oria and we fought together. Instant friends! Hee hee. So anyways 14 looks promising, cannot wait.

Now Assassins Creed 2 we don't have to wait so long for, end of the year. Yay, cuz that looks awesome, the first one was amazing and my husband and I still play it, so I can't wait for that. I saw a new game for Silent Hill, it will be on DS/PSP/and PS2 I think, I'm kind of uninterested, especially since I haven't beaten 4 yet and I need to buy the homecomings one for XBOX360. I think that will be my next buy. ^.-

I will be attending the Irish/Celtic Festival this month (hopefully), and I will also be going to Disneyland with my Bro and Aleetha, that should be fun. I'm currently watching an excellent Un-licensed anime called "Kuroshitsuji-Demon Butler" it's awwweesssoommmeee! And Sebastian (One Hell of a Butler) is hotness! so go check it out! I'm working on a pretty little Labyrinth sketch right now, it's just an image of Sarah and Jareth, his giving her a sweet kiss, as I was drawing it, it reminded me of some pretty little 70's fantasy art, hopefully you'll see that too hee hee. So did anyone see the preview for "New Moon" okay let's face it folks Sintar has not been interested in anything remotely Twilight as of late, but this latest preview swayed me just a bit...a tiny bit, the wolves frickin rock! Jacob looks hotter and tastier then Hot cross buns, Mmmm yum. Yeah I'm swayin towards team Jacob, I'm such a traitor, hahah I can't help it. Although I also can't help but think, omg I'm such a frickin pedophile.hahah! Anyway hope all is well with everyone.

So today I went to the Scottish Festival in Costa Mesa. It was very fun. Many clans, many Kilts, many Scottish accents, and plenty of drunken Scots lumbering through the crowds. lol.
We walked along the entire festival and watched the bands practice their bag pipes, and we walked through the vendors too. I bought a nice Blue Celtic bag with a dragon on it. And a nice Celtic necklace. My Granny bought Aleetha the most adorable little kilt with the colors of her Daddy's Clan. I ordered some information for the MacAlister clan and my Mom bought this awesome double crest of her and my Dads names. It's pretty cool. I would have gotten one for Matthew and I , but they don't have his last name. I can't find "Portune" anywhere, it's obviously French, but they couldn't find it anywhere so, oh well. Anyway, we watched the little girls do some Highland dancing and watched a few other people play Fiddle and we watched a really handsome Scot play a Hammered Dulcimer, he seemed quite taken with Aleetha, while she danced and bounced while he played effortlessly, it was adorable. She seemed very popular at the festy lol, all the older Scotsman came up to her and gave her praise, she was beside herself haha, at least as much as a 2 year old can be, although, I was quite taken with the charming candor of them too! It was nice and I really felt like my husband should have come with me, I think he would have really enjoyed himself. Oh well, perhaps next time!

So every year in Orange at the fairgrounds they have a Scottish festival. I think I shall go with my friends and I may take my daughter, hell I'm even going to try to get my husband to go, he should, he's half Scottish himself (that's why he's so damn attractive lol, my own little Braveheart). Anyways so it's this weekend. They will have vendors from all over, I would really like to go, I think it would be fun, so hopefully all will go well and I can go. I viewed Star Trek last week and my was that an awesome movie. I advise anyone who is even remotely a Trekkie fan to go and see it. I myself am an avid Trek fan, not as determined as some, but damn it I have seen them all, the movies, the shows. They so rock. It's really all about Spock and Kirk and Picard whoo hoo! lol. The actors did an excellent job and I do hope to see another one on the big screen again.

Hope all is well with everyone. I am working on some more pictures, I will be doing another one of Rita Mordio of TOV, in her additional Mage outfit, it's too cute, I even like the yellow one she gets from the stage show they perform on that little island. Anyway, hit me a line or two k peeps!

I am so freakin ticked off!!!! So I ordered DirectTV satellite for our apartment, and of course because we live facing North and the satellite doesn't and our stupid freakin landlord won't allow us to hook the stupid dish to the iron railing on our patio we can't have it. UGH, so the guy that came out to do it wasted his time, what a bunch of shit, gawd was I pissed off. I hate apartments, this will be the last one we live in. You can't do shit in them and there is so much wrong with this one it's not even funny. So in my childish retaliation I am going to start having them come in a fix all the problems with this place, starting with our dish washer-it sucks and sometimes it smells like rancid water, so that's out in with a new one, next I want new blinds, they are falling apart and nasty, next will be the bathroom sinks, they have tiny leaks, that will all be fixed or I will bitch a fit like no ones business!!! Huh! Still angry!!!!

I just got back a couple days ago from my trip with my dad to Arizona. We were there to assist in cleaning up my grandmothers room and bathroom. I have to say it was very nice to take a road trip with my Dad. I didn't always have this great relationship with my Dad, when I was a kid I was always trying to be tom-boyish and cool like to get him to notice me, or give me some type of praise, or at least be held in the same regards as my little brother. It was all in vain of course. And rather stupid now that I look back on it. He always loved me, just in a different way, that's how fathers are I guess, and daughters will continue to strive to be Daddy's little girl. I love my father very much, and I think we have a better relationship now that I'm older then we ever did before. (Gets me all teary-eyed thinkin about it lol) Anyway so we're driving the 4 hours to Kingman AZ in Golden Valley. My grandmother and uncle have lived there for like, ever. They live in the farthest oldest part of the valley, near the ridge of beautiful red rocks and mountains that surround the valley. It's really a beautiful place. So quiet and all the wild life, just amazing. My Dad and I rented a Dodge Journey for the trip, it was a little small for my Dad but we made due. We listened to classic rock the entire drive on my ipod, and watched tumble weeds fly by due to the high winds. When we got to my grandmothers place that my Uncle still/now resides in (alone). We noticed he was asleep on the couch. He stayed up with us for a little while and then we took our rooms. My dad stayed in his moms old room. I stayed in my great grandmothers old room. To say it was strange is an understatment. The room was untouched. My Great Grandmother had died in January, and the room still held all her jewelry, her clothes, and things. It looked as if she was on permenant vacation or something, but that she would be back. Kind of sad. So I grabbed my duffle bag and placed my blanket on top of the bed spread, found some clean sheets in the closet for the pillows and laid on top of everything. My Uncle wasn't running the air and I'm a wuss, so I opened the small window and let the semi cool air that occasionally ran down the valley into the room. I laid down in bed around 2:30 am, I couldn't sleep. It was too damn quiet.
Can you believe that? My ears were ringing because of how peaceful it was, now don't get me wrong, I don't live in the damn city, but I'm use to a fan, my computer and a few cars going by occasionally. But you won't hear that in the valley. Not when its 10 miles just to the main road, and about 7 of those miles are on gravel dirt roads. So I turned on the small tiffany lamp beside me and looked at all the old portraits my GG had hanging on the walls, I looked at some of her old ear bobs and necklaces and then grabbed my phone, thanked the gods I had reception, and proceeded to read some fanfiction lol. At about 6:30 I heard my Uncle rustle out of bed and listened to my favorite sound, one I wasn't sure I would be getting out here (thank my lucky stars for small favors) the grinding of fresh coffee beans. I jumped out of bed, still in my clothes from lastnight and headed into the bathroom with my bag full of toiletries and freshened up. After having about 3 cups of joe I sat outside and enjoyed the cool fresh desert air, the sun comes up on the other side in their house...I mean his house, so I watched the blue sky grow brighter against the red rock mountains. Stunning. It took my Dad and my Uncle a while to get their shit together but after awhile we took off and headed to the Mortuary to pick up Grandmas remains. My Uncle demanded we stay in the car and he would go pick her up. It was a solemn moment, uncomfortable, and then he was back. We proceeded to the
market to buy some groceries. My Dad and I had not had breakfast and it seemed too late for anything decent so we splurged and grabbed frapps at the local Starbucks. We headed home and I made fresh gaucamole and my Dad prepared his famous Chili.
While that was cooking my Dad and Uncle told me to go through my Grandmas jewelry and pick some items that I wanted. I took alot. It was hard sometimes because I swore I could hear my Grandmas voice- soft, feminine,telling me to take this and laughing that I liked this piece and that. I almost cried a few times, it's funny I honestly could hear her talking, she always had the prettiest most girly voice, it wasn't high pitched or syrupy, more like soft and soothing, and just very feminine. Some people had already gone through her jewelry including my mother, but seemed to leave all the costume jewelry which is what I collect so I loved it. I also grabbed many pieces I knew my Mom was just too upset to have noticed when she was here the first time, it was too fresh and she was very distraught. Remember when I spoke of the death of my great grandmother brown a while back? Well...her daughter just joined her this afternoon...

Although I was not as close to her as I am to my other grandmother, I have to say I most cetainly got my love of reading from her. And she also taught me how to sew and she always bought me books. My very first book, "Wuthering Heights", was a gift from her. So I say thank you Grandma Connie for my love of reading and introducing me to wonderful stories and classic literature. Thank you for thinking my warped little "tea" outfit for my bunny was cute. And I cherish every beautiful Christmas ornament you have given me for every years Ive been alive. Thank you. I will miss you and always remember you.

Isn't that all we can do when those we love pass?

As I grow older...especially now that I'm turning 30 in just a few months I realize that this will be a continuance. And it scares me, and it saddens me. It makes me ask silly ridiculous questions like, why are we here? What the hell is the purpose? But I already understand why I'm doing this. I'm just upset and stubbornly not accepting of lifes finale. As the famous quote bears:

"All things must come to an end"

Sometimes it does anyway.

I can't say all I want to right now but things have been difficult. And eventually when the air has cleared I can be less stealth-like in my communication. But for now just know that updats will be slow and not as often. Although I will try. I've got a lot going on, and yet not enough, if that makes any sense at all.

I am attempting to write a novel, have been for a long time now. I think I may be making a bigger dent in it then I have in years. All the while I continue to read all the books I can. It certainly helps.

I will be adding some new wallpapers soon. More sweet cars, and I'm even going to do a couple of "Fast and Furious" although I didn't go to see this latest one, I have seen the first one, thanks I'll wait for the netflix lol. My husband and I did watch a funny Korean film called "The Host" on netflix, it was pretty weird and funny. It's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. Very typical of Asian films. I think the strangeness and the WTF endings have really grown on me haha!

Anyways, other then that I haven't been too busy. I'm going to see Star Trek this month so expect a full review on it. I am also going to Ren Fair for the first time! That should be fun! Also my birthday is coming up in July and I think I'm going to go get my tattoo I created finally! Thats what I want!

Random Thought!: I also really really want to go to London, just for a little while. Who wants to pick me up and take me around town, I have the time, oh wait, need more money lol, I don't know if my husband would allow me to go, he thinks with all those handsome british men and their sexy british accents I may not come back hah! He's probably right! LOL

Dude I can't believe it. I love Korean Dramas, they just sucker me in like nothing can, but omg I'm so sad to announce today that one of the beautiful girls off of one of my fav shows "Boys before Flowers" committed suicide by hanging herself Saturday night. She was only 27 and so beautiful, I don't understand sometimes why these people do these things, se had so much going for her. She wasn't in the show that much, but I still liked her. Breaks the heart. May she rest in peace now. [link]

On to more positive news:
I'm watching another Korean drama called "Terroir" and it's awesome, I love its funky-crazy main star, her name is Woo Joo. It takes place in Korea, but also in Paris too. Terrior is a wine restaurant and Woo Joo comes to work there, the owners name is Tae Min, and then there's his (Taes) woman Ji Seon who's an interior designer who wants to work for Tae Mins grandfathers company but Tae's Grandfather doesn't like Ji because of some type of plagerism she got caught in a while back and he doesn't think she's right for Tae and then Woo Joo shows up and wins the heart of Tae's good friend Jo Yi, but Woo Joo has found her way into Tae's heart too, and who knows who Woo Joo likes, I think its Tae cuz she's competely oblivious to Jo Yi (who I like), and keeps getting caught in less then good positions with Tae (oh did I mention she lives with Tae hahah)and Jo Yi has a deep secret about the death of Tae's parents and omg ultimate Korean Drama insues! Okay it's time for my new rant, and let me tell you it's far overdue!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to start bashing on Stephenie Meyer and her hugely successful "Twilight" series. But I am going to give my opinions and comments on her damn fans. ESPECIALLY her older ones, yah know the ones between the ages of 30-50!
Now I enjoyed the books, they weren't the best I've ever read, her writing isn't the best I've ever reviewed, but it was a good story. The movie, was not so great, but I really liked it because I got to see lot's of Rob eye candy, (although his performance was lacking) it was funny and enjoyable. Whatever.

Now I've been reading Vampire chronicles since I was 12. 12! I started with the beginings, like The Vampyre by John Polidori, and my personal favorite, Wake Not The Dead by Johann Ludwig Tieck, then I went on to more contemporary like Rice and Hamilton, and others. So I consider myself a seasoned Vamp reader. But all of a sudden women are joining forums they have never heard of until now, which is fine and I think it's great the Twilight series makes them want to read more vampire novels. BUT MY GAWD PEOPLE, when you start threads that only have to do with Meyer, her vampires, or Edward himself, I start to wonder where your damn sanity has gone?! When I go to the romance and horror sections of bookstores to look for new books to read I am literally bombarded with middle-aged hormonal women attacking me with the reasons I should read Twilight, and if I state (nicely) that I already have, I am attacked with questions and thoughts on the damn series. Look people, the books were ok, but they're not a damn life style! They are not real, they do not exist, and no there is no Edward out there. From most of my conversations with people I can understand teenage girls liking Edward, and expressing their desire for a man like him. But when 40 year old women gush to me about Edward, I have to wonder whether you fell off the truck or not? But whatever, I know I'm going to get hate mail about this and I could care less. I myself really enjoyed the hype and thought it was cute. But now it's disgusting. You have invaded my private time in bookstores, invaded forums where I have been a member for a long time and enjoyed the threads about all kinds of books. But now it's all about Meyer and her perfect writing and her perfect vampires and how rich, and sexy, and perfect they are. Seriously people. Give it up. I'm not jealous, I'm just sad, I mean there are other authors out there who deserve to be given a chance. And when I offer some up, people come back and say, well it wasn't like Meyer, and no Edward vampires. WTF? Of course not, ::::shakes head::: see how I can be annoyed. Anyways...yes I need a break from the Meyer-so-called-vampires.....

If they don't have fangs, it just doesn't do it for me. lol

Ok end of Rant....let the hate begin....le sigh

Sometimes I just don't understand people. Not that I've ever really wanted to, and most times it's virtually impossibe anyway. But there are people in my life, people that are my lighthearted, witty, friends that I do enjoy. And then they go and get all cryptic on me and I am so confused by the last conversation that I think, what did I do? Is this person mad at me for some reason, I mean what have I done, especially considering I rarely speak with this person? Are they messing with me? Or are they truly upset with me? I mean the conversation is so cryptic Im not sure if were friends still or what? I suppose I shouldn't be so upset over it because honestly, if you can't be the kind of light-hearted friend that doesn't take life too seriously, then perhaps we shouldn't be friends, let alone acquaintances. I have a life, a family to take care of. And I've changed nothing about myself in such drastic measures, or done anything to be deemed an oucast so suddenly. (Watch this all be some big ass joke that this person can laugh at, for the fact that I overreacted.) Well I suppose I'm done with my rant, that most likely made no sense. It just really irks me when people act all fucking melodramatic and mysterious, it's like hey idiot, I don't have time to decipher your inane behaviors, go find someone who has time for your melodramas. I think I'm more upset over it, because I've had couple people do this to me. One in my personal friendship and another just a long time online friend recently. GAWD people are so WEIRD sometimes. lol. My husband would laugh right now and say, "Well it was nice knowing them, but whatever" lol. I really need to take his advice haha. So yeah, whatever. lol High School's over.

***I think I'm going to attempt 's contest for the coming equinox with Jareth! We'll see how well it comes out, it's pretty smexy, but I like it!!! I'll post it as soon as I'm finished!

She was very old when I came into the world. But I always thought she was one of the loveliest nicest ladies. I remember coming to her farm in Madera California and enoying some of the best home cooked meals I had ever had in my life. She was from the south and cooked southern and creole food everyday. Her waffles were the best thing I had ever tasted and I always boasted about them! She had this neat room in which my brother and I stayed with neat African Dolls hanging up, which at first scared me, but then became a thing of familirarity, and the blue room with the home made blanets and sheets, and all the dolls and dresses she made me. Still beautiful, I always took the ones she thought were ugly! And that chalk board in the kitchen that I drew my pictures on that she forbade any of the other cousins to draw on, a thing that made me feel so special considering how much family their was. She was funny and endearing and always said Honey Child, and just Honey with that southern drawl. It was wonderful and I will never forget it. I have to say that as family is considered, this is the first time someone really close to me has ever died. I've had friends die, and friends family members die, and it was heartbreaking then. This time I'm not crying at all, and I feel diffrent because this was someone I knew since I was born. And I think it's because I knew she was ready, she waited in the hospital till her daughter, my grandmother came to see her, then she breathed her last breath.
And so with this remembrance I say to you Grandma Brown, Peace be with you, may you now see Grandpa up there, I hope he's waiting for you right when you left. I didn't get to say goodbye, but I will always remember the times I had with you. Thank you for telling me I have such a gentleman for a husband, he truly is. Thank you for taking the time to come see my newborn daughter, the only pity I reserve is that she'll never know you, but I will always remind her of the very last Raggedy Ann doll (made the old way) for her.

I'm a Cardinal's fan can't yah tell? Actually I'm a total underdog fan but since the Ram's played like shit I had to root for someone and I've always been slightly pissed for the Ram's trading Kurt Warner and giving up on him, I think he's an explosive QB and people thought he was done. Well well isn't he showing you! I mean don't get me wrong, I love the Ram's, have ever since they were here in Anaheim, mainly thats why, it's why I love the Angel's baseball team! Gotta love the home team. But when Kurt came to the Cardinals I got excited finally a team worth rooting for! And now they're gonna play the Steelers! Gonna be a good Superbowl! Football is like the only major sport I really enjoy and get all excited about! Baseball is boring to watch, and basketball is cool, but I don't have any real team loves, just any team that whoops the Lakers, cuz I can't stand they're vanity. But football, full body contact, man it's awesome! And I bet at the begining of the season people were like yah I see the Patriots, maybe the Broncos going all the way, but not the Cardinals! And I like that! It's the unexpected!

Anyways so how is everyone? I haven't been on much, been veddy busy looking for a new trabajar. I want something fun that pays good. But of course in this economy that's like asking for a miracle, so pray for meh lol! Is everyone ready next week for the inaguration of our new President, President Obama? I am thinking positively about the whole damn thing. After he met with Repulicans like he said he would I was very impressed. And as long as he doesn't listen to that bitch Pelosi, then I'll be fine. Gawd I can't stand her. Anywho I gotta go, gotta play My Little Pony with Aleetha! Hope all is well with everyone!

Well the one and only is 62 and still rocking my socks. It's funny, have you ever been through a hellish day, be it work or just with a bunch of dramatic friends and their bullcrap. You get into your car and you turn on the radio desperatly seeking solitude and relaxtion and suddenly their he is, his voice runs through you like soft skin on silk sheets, like cool water sating your parched dry mouth he gives an irresistible tremble through your veins that leaves you sighing in ways that most only do after a good orgasm. Yeah thats David Bowies voice, and what he does. NO one, I and I mean no one can duplicate that sultry voice that resonates seduction in all manners. There is no one like him or ever will be. Thank everything that's good hes still around to bless us with a few small words or songs to entice into more. What an enigma that man! I have been listening to him all day and now I'm listening to some new music so I don't go crazy hahah! Hope everyone is having a good week. I just wanted to talk about my little crush I've had ever since my Mom bought me the Never Let me Down album and I was 6 and running around my room singing his music! Don't worry David you've never let me down!

Well the holidays are offically over and I have to say I am happy and relieved. For myself anyway, it means it's time to get down to business. I'm going to start waking up even earlier then I have. I always liked the fact that my Mother is always awake a few hours before she heads into work. She's leisurely about her mornings for the most part and I like that. Work out; have some breakfast and coffee, watch the news, then get ready for work. I need to do this, I know it will make me feel a whole lot better!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's! There are many things I am looking forward to this new year: ALL my favorite authors have books coming out soon! Like Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, Karen Chance and Laurell Hamilton! I am also excited because the new season of "True Blood" starts up again in the summer. I'm such a book worm I am always looking for something to read, and for the past couple months I've had only 2. I'm almost through The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. It hasn't lived up to it's name (sorry to any fans). I just don't see the point of it all. My mother who is an avid fan, states that the first book lays out the main plot and all it's chacracters and backround. The next one gets really good. (le sigh) I have heard this before with Anee Rices books. And although I am no stranger to her work. I have been disappointed many a time with her stories. I read the Vampire Series until Memnoch, then I stopped. She changed Lestat and he grew weak. And that wasn't Lestat. Anne has this tendency to grow weary of her characters and thus they grow weak and tired. She doesn't seem to have the finesse to retire them with dignity. I'm very happy she's found the Lord. Let's hope she doesn't weaken him too much in her stories about his life LOL.

So any who. I hope to have my peice on Major Kusanagi done soon. Gawd she's taken me FOREVER! I really hope you guys like it. I'm doing it comepletely without line art. Well the finished one anyway. I can't wait, but there are soo many details and it's time consuming! I'm also supposed to finished the sketches for a possible book cover for these two girls. It's Yao-ish, which I'm not fond of, nor do I read, but I'm open to suggestion lol, and never mind it, just don't care for it. Louis and Lestat is about as Yaoi as I get LOL!

I do hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. They aren't over yet of course! There is still the new year to ring in! I don't know what my husband and I will be doing yet. And I don't have any resolutions planned. Every year when I do that, I never take them seriously enough, or it just doesn't happen. So this year I just want to enjoy my last months of being 29 and enjoy my family! Too much planned is a life not lived for me.

Umm yeah, and I'm sure there's things I'm forgetting but whatever. Anyways I don't have much to say except that I do wish everyone a splendid Holiday season and that (for me anyway) this season I don't have much money, but damn it, Matthew and I did the house up in lights and decorations like we never have before. I'm spending as much time as I can with family. And watching a ton of Christmas movies with Aleetha! So you could say, without the presents there we are doing our best to celebrate this holiday with cheer and happiness for just being happy with our lives. I even sat Aleetha down and we went through all her stuffed animals and toys and she picked out the ones she didn't like anymore and we are going to donate them to a Childrens Charity center!!! I have tons of clothes to donate too, because I know there are plenty of people out there in worse situations, and what could be better then to give to those who do not have. I hope everyone gives a little this year. It means so much to those who cannot give to their children, or those kids without parents, or abused children, etc etc. So give ok!!!

Anyway in the spirit of Christmas and giving and all the muchy stuff!! Here's my tribute to all those wonderful Deviant's and the're wonderful Christmas Artwork!!!!

I can't believe November is almost over!!! Where the hell did it go. I think for some of us (or perhaps myself) I was so busy waiting for the 21st that every other day seemed so unimportant haah. So I went on Friday and saw "Twilight". At first I was ready to tear it apart piece by piece, then almost exactly as that fire began, it faded with basic intellect explaining that like most books, it is very difficult to adapt a book to movie. It just is, and although avid fans would love for every part of the book to be expressed, that would be one long ass movie! And due to time constraints and budgets it simply isn't possible. And so, with thus expressed I do think they did a very good job with what they had. I do think it was rather entertaining that the most erotic parts I found humorous and uncomfortable. I'm still iffy about Bella, the girl who plays her lacks the emotion I was looking for in Bella. And well Rob, you did me in, you looked great, but lessen the eye widening so much, it's killing me haha. And the white make-up was a bit much at times. I loved Carlisle and Alice. I think the baseball scene was my personal fav and I truly missed a few parts that would have been nice to see, like Bella in Edwards lap saying I love you!! But all in all, I did enjoy it and it was lovely to see my Rob!! Hopefully the DVD will have extras whoo hoo!!!

Now on to Trueblood!!! OMG what it's over for the year?!! I am so sad. But luckily it will be back in Summer of next year, THANK GOD because I was gonna have withdrawls!! The last episode was crazy awesome. I wasn't expecting Bill to walk out into the sunlight, and at first I was like, if you guys kill him off I'm going to bitch....seriously, I LOVE BILL!! So anyways, I can't wait to see what Sookie thinks of Bills new vampire he made, boy is she annoying lol. And Sam, what has he got himself into. And let us say goodbye to two characters that were great in this season: Rene, well for us fans of the book, we knew this was coming. And Lafayette, damn it all to hell, he wasn't much in the books, but man did they give him something in the show. I'm going to miss him, really miss him, he was too good!!!
So I can't wait till the nest season, so glad it was a success!!!

I haven't been on lately because my husband and I have been playing Gears of War 2 like everyday, it's such an awesome game! Yah I know, I'm a chick who plays shooters, big whoop! But now I'm on to say I'm still alive, I've just had so much going on!

On Thursday I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my entire family, including my brothers new fiance and her daughter, that should be fun. This will be my first time, so of course the Mom and Granny will be helpin me out. And I might drag my bro's finance into the kitchen too, hell we all need to learn! So you probably won't hear from me in a couple days after today. But before I go!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, no matter where you're from! I am so thankful for all my friends here on DevArtm thank you for always being so kind, and funny, and well... just you!

So it's November!! October flew by, and many things happened to me. Some I can discuss, some are top secret FBI stuff I can't! But I can say that everything happens for a reason and I am still happy and things are good~!

First things first, so let's get to the main topic at hand! So next week is Twilight and I already have a big group of people going Friday night! We're going to the AMC theatres at the Block at Orange and then out to dinner to discuss the movie! Basically this is my Vampire Novella group, we all work together and we exchange good Vampire and Witch chronicles to read! So we're going, I'm mostly excited because I finally get to see my cute little sweety Rob Pattinson get some on-screen heat. Perhaps except for a minor sensual part in The Haunted Air Man, Rob has never really had any on screen smoochiness, and since I'm a total cradle robber, I really want to see it! Hee hee. He's just gorgeous to me, and he's so humble, talk about rare to find in a Brit lol j/k! Anyways, I would love to know if other people have a crew for Twilight's opening? If anyone is in the area I would love to have you join us! That would be so much fun!

Now on to other things. I have finally written a Laby fanfic, it's pure fluff and soapy drama, but I hope everyone likes it! Check it out on Fanfiction.net it's called "Against the Grain". Hopefully I can get some art work out soon, I've been incredibly busy but still check'n up on everybody else!

Fall is here and I am so happy! October has been my very favorite time of year ever since I can remember, I love the cool breezes, the hot chai's at Starbucks, the skirts with thick tights and light sweaters, browns, golds, greens and burnt reds. So beautiful! And of course we cannot forget Halloween! I love Halloween. It's even more fun that I have a daughter now, and this year she will be trick or Treating for the first time!! Yes I will be taking lot's of pictures. Oh and I can't forget the Pumpkin Patches, such an event in this house. We go every year to this one patch in Irvine and she rides the ponies and we go through the haunted shack and read the tombstones for funny reads, we buy a couple small pumpkins and a few big ones and just enjoy the cool breezy weather!

This weekend my husband and I drove over to our beloved Anime store "Anime Nuts" to go plunder their DVDs and toys because...because they're going out of business wahhhhh! So sad! So right now everything is 50% off and so we started looking around, we bought pretty much all the Death Note we could find, they had more of the collector editions left so we ended up buying those, they were kind of cool because they have "L" and Rem adn Misa in them. I also bought that adorable little Peach dude that is in my webcam pic, he was too cute to pass up, We also bought some other anime, but they were already really picked over.

I'm gonna miss having the store around because as much as I love a good deal and there are websites galore selling this stuff, it's always nice to be able to go to your local anime store and just kind of browse yah know? So Anime Nuts, you will be missed. It's funny I heard these girls talking in front of me about DeviantArt and I was about to say "Oh hey I'm on there too!" And then realized these little 14 years olds would probably be like, ummm yah your like old hahah! So I just remained quiet and my husband and I bought our goods and left.

I am hoping to do some more art this month. I really really want to finish my Ghost in the Shell image and I DO plan on doing a Halloween picture and I also plan on doing a fall image of either Kagome or Tohru, haven't decided who it will be. I'm swaying towards Tohrui though, haven't done any Faruba in awhile. So this month is about getting back into the art, taking some more pictures and just being relatively happy right now! yay!

I managed to have some free time during working hours, go figure. It's been a rough last month. And a rather quick one too! The longer one spends on this planet the shorter time seems to be for one designed with an expiration date. Ugh that sounded rather gloomy. I am not in a gloomy mood today. I am sitting here listening to my itunes delicately waft the sounds of Nobuo Uematsu's Final Fantasy x soundtrack. I love his piano work, a true genious! I'm going to pull a and add some pictures to my journal, I'm going to do a theme of final fantasy. Because it's one of my favorite rpg's to play. It reminds me of the first time I ever really sat down and watched it being played. And that was with my husband. We were in the early stages of our relationship, playing those silly anniversary games, it was our 1 month and he bought me this beautiful Sailor Moon watch I wanted and I bought him Final Fantasy 8. And every night in his room he rented from a friend he would play and I would watch. He couldn't get over the fact that I loved to watch him play. I found the game so fascinating and wonderous. Even the monotonous fighting was awesome to see. And thus began our love of playing Final Fantasy Games together. It was a shared interest, and soon after we moved in together we plurged on our 2 year anniversary and bought a playstation 2. We ended up playing FF9 almost everyday. We didn't have any cable, so we didn't really watch t.v., so video games were the way we spent our time! Then we were walking through Toys R us one day and spotted Final Fantasy 10. At first glance we were a little perturbed, like who's this funky kid on the cover. But we had to buy it, cuz well it was Final Fantasy damn it. So we take it home, start playing it. The opening sequence had our hair on the backs of our necks sticking up and goose bumps running down our arms. We felt like little kids. Intelligent garble such as "Whoa and Cooool" rolled across our fevered lips and we stared in awe as the drool puddled in our laps. My husband and I are such suckers for good CGI. And after spending about a week playing he beat the game and we were in awe still. It was by far our very favorite one! We played it over and over again, leveling our characters getting all the aeons in the game, all our charachters had all the most ridiculous weapons and gear we could get them. It was so much fun. Then FF11 came out. The first completely online FF series. About a year after it came out we gave in and bought the stuff to play it, we hooked our PS2 to the internet and started playing, and then we loved it so much I bought the game for my computer so that my husband and I could play together. This game is where I also met Jax!!
We played for 3 years. But afer Aleetha was born we just couldn't find the time and/or effort.I actually got a DS for my birthday and have played the old Final Fantasy's on it, like 1 and 2, and now 3, they are the originals brought back for the DS!The first one I actually played on my own was Final Fantasy X-2, and I loved it! Now we still buy the FF series, we bought 12, it was ok, we were more disappointed with the fact the story ends so quickly. 13 will be coming out soon and on Xbox 360 so that will be cool!
My main reason for bringing this up was the music, but it's funny because the reason I am playing this music in the first place is because my husband and I are playing the FFX again! And I find the music from FFX to be so peaceful and calming, I can listen to it all day and never tire of its symbolic voices, earthy drums, and enchanting piano solos. Nobuo really emits passion and emotion into each song.

So if you've never played a video game, try a Final Fantasy, you might like it. I love all our FF's, they are my prized possesions because it is the time I've spent with my husband, lazing around the couch watching him play, or lying on the bed engrossed with the latest level, or sitting on the floor of our first apartment because we had no couch and balling my eyes out at the ending of FF9 because I was so happy!

It all may sound corney and perhaps a little cliche to some, but these rather ordinary and blase moments are cherished, sentimental, and very wonderful moments to me. I like sharing them, if only for my own enjoyment. So if you thought my little trip down memory lane was fun and interesting, well...I'm glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed remembering it.

So I've been reading like a true damn bookworm lately. And I've been reading books like they're going out of style. I've finished all of the Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris, and I have to say ABOVE all it is my favorite vampire series EVER! I know I know, and I read alot of vampire novels and this one just does it for me. I like its humor, southern flare, and sex appeal. Too much sex drags a plot. Too much shit going on makes me forget the original plot. So I have to go with Sookie! I can't wait till September when "TruBlood" shows on HBO! Whoo hoo!!!My husband was so awesome to be allow me to order HBO, he always does such nice things for me, I am so lucky!
Now I am reading Twilight, now I was and have been skeptacle about this series for awhile, because like Harry Potter, it's in the kid section. But after many people telling me it's awesome I finally gave in. And in some ways couldn't be more pleased. I like Bella, she's sweet, but too easy to please for my taste. She's young and far too easily swayed under Edwards spell for my taste, although Edward constantly tells her to stay away from him all the while yearning for her. Thats the part I like, it's so delicously bad to be with him haha! He's very sexy, I'll give him that much. And well, although he's 17 in looks, he's older in reality, so he's not jailbait hahah!
Anywho, I read Twilight in about 6 hours and I bought the next one. So I'll keep you installed on whats up! I'm more excited about the next Sookie story!!!!!! I thirst for more good Vampire books. If you know any good ones lemme know. Nix Anne Rice/Laurell Hamilton/Charlaine Harris/Kim Harrison/Steven Green/All the Classics, I've read them all, theres some more in there, but I forget.

Normally I don't write two journals in one month. Shows my laziness lol. But I just had to blab about the latest Batman feature: Dark Knight! One of the best films of this summer! Heath Ledger, my hats off to him man, and I really looked at this at a point of who the joker really should be, and how well he played the character, not his death. He IS the Joker. He doesn't have a huge amount of time in this movie, actually I think everyone is evenly placed within the movie, I don't think one role has more then the other. Kudos to the editor of this film, they rocked, and you can see how well they did it!

This movie had a lot of hype and I was (as I always am) afraid of the possible disappointment. But never fear this movie delivers on soo many levels. I am a huge Batman, ok maybe not huge, I don't like own a bazillion comics of it and shit, but I do love Batman, I liked the Animated series very well, and I love the old sixties show too. Which of course was more comical. But Dark Knight returns to it's origins, to the original created comic of 1939. And I love that. It's gritty, it's dark, it's psychotic. The Joker is definately what you always thought he should be. Batman is now torn between the desire for the life he wants, and the person he needs to be for Gotham. This type of self-sacrifice reveals itself towards the end and shows a more darker view of the life and future of Batman then other films before it.

I don't want to give anything away, but we do see Mr. Dent and Two-Face, which was the only part I was slightly disappointed with. I won't say why I don't want to give anything away, so let's just say that the transfer to good/evil was too abrupt for my taste and not as believable. But I can overlook that. lol.

So bottom line is: Go see this movie. I know, I know, it's 2 1/2 hours long, but it's awesome, great, it's edgy, it keeps you gripped on the edge of your chair with it's tension and aggressive story line, new scenes are flying at you with non stop action and suspense, it's killer. The surprises and gasps and claps will be heard round the theatre!!

So what the hell are you still doing reading this, go see the damn movie?!!!

Actually my Vacation was pretty cool. It all started with a dandy 7 hour long drive through the good ol' California highway system. Most of the time I read a book, played with Aleetha, and/or listened to my Ipod. When we arrived the Lake looked beautifully placid, and ready to be jumped into! The sky was a clear blue and wind was blowing a nice cool breeze, the pine trees swaying, the blue birds chirping away in the massive trees, and the beatiful aspens flickering a dapple of sunlight here and there. All those wonderful things you expect of a summer in Tahoe.

The next day was the same, and we went into town, I think it was Tahoe City, I do not have great knowledge of the area. I know we stayed in Dollar Point at Kings Beach. The cabin/house was very nice, my husbands parents gave us the master bedroom, which was very very nice!! We had an awesome California Kind bed, and a bathrooom. It was also the only room with a TV which was nice considering my husband and his brother did nothing every night but play Guitar Hero 3 hahah! Aleetha and I would get up early every morning and I would make freshly ground Kona coffee. His parents loved it, and damn it I should think so after always drinking that instant shit!! Ugh who could drink that crap?

The weather got bad on Tuesday. Smoke and more pollen. lol.

Anyway on Wednesday myself, my husband, his brother, and my father-in-law went to Truckee river and rafter down. It was totally fun, the highlight of the trip, and the funniest part was at the end there is a decent size rapid and if it wasn't for my husband I would have fallen into the river, we slanted to one side and I was about to go over lol, it was funny, right at the end, all those guys that worked for the rafting company from Austria (lol or at least they sounded like they were from there) would be waiting for us to take the boat while laughing at me, and all the people at the BBQ grill place would too haha! So it was a relief. After our near death experience we toasted the time to drinking some good ol fashion beer. Now everywhere we had been was really big on serving this Micro brew called Fat Tire from Colorado. We got some on tap. Damn that stuff was good. Good to know its available down here

The last few days we took walks and went to the pool, but that was about it. The fire from miles away, somewhere near Sac was really bad, so the air quality sucked, not to mention the terrible pollen, we had to hose down the patio everyday. And the air was really dry so it sucked the moisture right out of your skin.

The last night I was there we fed the birds some bread, and then a Racoon came and chilled with us for a bit. He was soo cute!!

So now after a much shorter drive, a nice evening in my own air-conditioned bed, and a relaxing Sunday, I can say that I had a wonderful vacation. And my parents (this time) have a new one set up for us next year at Moon Beach in San Simeon. That should be fun!!! So moving right along, how has your summer been so far?

Anywho, how is everyone? I have been well. The weeks have turned into months and I have finally decided after a friend made me realize how very lazy I was becoming. ^.- (you know who you are).
So I decided that I would let everyone know what has been going on. Sadly, very sadly, nothing very exciting. My life has become rather blasé as of late. BUT! I did enjoy Phantom of the Opera very much, yah indeed. My grandmother and I went out to dinner, Italian of course, and then we headed off to the show. It was wonderful, the seats were great, the music spectacular! And the singers were wonderful! Now if any of you have seen the movie, then you're in for dissapointment, at least in the way the Phantom sings and acts, he is not so angsty and rageful as the Phantom of hollywood. He is more desperate and psyhoctic, like he is supposed to be haha! So it was very well done. I think the only down size was some of the people we were surrounded by. I created within my mind prizes for the most idiotic and trashiest people within our midst. Third Prize goes to all the Orange County women that came dressed like they were going to a fair; skin-tight jeans,breast bursting tops, and flashy bags that blinded me from time to time, I mean come on people, this isn't a matinee, this is an evening opera, at least have the decency to come in a low skirt and a nice blouse, not clothes that look like you just came from the beach! Second Prize goes to the couple behind us the yelled to the children and said children's parents regarding talking while the show was going on, expressing their distaste with the families etiquette, and how they paid big money for those seats...ahem...practice what you preach dearies, you've just blown your cover, white trailer trash (NOTE: Due to the fact that I have family that reside in Riverside, I have retracted my previous statement of considering Riverside as the haven of White Trash. I do hope this curbs the hate mail that I have received from my family. Thank you), you can stay there please and now shut the hell up. I never heard the damn kids in the first place. And the Grand Prize goes to the severly obese women dressed in skin tight spandez pants (blue colored) with her fuschia colored shirt to cover the rest of her girth, frizzy hair that seemed to electrify whilst yelling at me to back off because she was in line first to buy some items from the product line. I simply stood back away from the foaming beast while she whined about the over priced items while her daughter stood a mere foot away from her. And all I could do in my shocked stupor was think, is this the type of behavior you desire to share with your children. Then I felt pity for the child to have such a mother. And then I bought my $150.00 key chain. lol actually not really it was only $10.00! What I really wanted was the monkey music box that played "Masquerade" while chiming his cymbols. But alas I asked for the price and the man said, "that is $75.00." My eyes bulged. 75 dollars!
.....excuse me I have to leave now lol. Thank goodness for the internet. I found it cheaper lol. But I ended up not buying it because it doesn't play it like in opera. It plays the song too fast. Boo hoo.
So that was my experience at Phantom. The most special part was taking my Granny, she loved it and we had a wonderful time!!!

But please folks, don't forget you manners, be nice, dress decent, and don't yell at others, ask kindly I think it takes more to be angry then nice...doesn't it?

Other then that nothing going on. At the end of June I will be going on Vacation to Lake Tahoe, so I will let you know how that goes! So tell me, what is going on in your life? Hmmm....?

LIKE ZOMG! I bought tickets for my Grandmother (and very awesome and free babysitter of my daughter) and myself to go see Phantom of the Opera at the OC Performing Arts center in March. I am talking about it now because its about a month away, its on the first weekend night of opening week, and I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!! My Granny loves Phantom and so do I, ever since I was a teenager I have wanted to take her and I to see it. And since now I am a adult and can spend money and whatever I want, I bought the best seats I could and were gonna go see it!!!! She was very excited, we get to drive there in my new Audi A4 and you know I'm Valet parking that shit, and we are gonna have a wonderful time!!

Anyone else a Phantom Fan? Come on I know there are some!

Happy 2008 everyone!!!

This year I have decided not to have any new years resolutions, I am going to take care of the things that I need to take care of in a responsible and sensible manner, certain goals are never good for me to write on paper and make sacrosanct, only because I end up becoming very frustrated towards the end of the year if they are not accomplished. So no promises this year, just take it with ease. I think thats will be my Taoism for the year.

Now I did give serious warning in the Subject and Header regarding this journal, so let's just dive right into the subject said above.

VAMPIRE KNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter 34/35 WAS LIKE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so first off you know we were all DYING to know what happened to Yuki so long ago, but I don't think I was ready for what we found out.

So there she is with hot-sexy-I-wanna-jump-his-bones-right-now~Kanami, and he takes a bite and drinks her blood right? Our hearts are skipping a beat, we are beyond excited, it is finally happening, because we can't imagine anyone else's lips and fanatically HOT fangs sinking into our neck but Kanami (okay maybe Zero too). But THATS NOT THE POINT! And I'm getting away from the subject, ahem, so hes drinking her oh-so-deliciouso blood and he can't take it anymore, his frustration and openness is visible all over his face and we just wanna jump into the pages and eat him up, ahem. So he cuts his wrists with his fangs (so reminiscent of one Lestat the Vampire offering his life blood to Louis) and he places it to her beautiful and waiting lips, she drinks.....he takes his wrist away...and....and...

They Kiss!!! Awww we swoon and squeel like the true fangirls we are!!!! Life is blissful, the moment has come and we are beyond giddyness! Yuki awakens, she places her delicate hand on his face, he asks her if shes remembers him...the memories come flooding in.

Then Zero (our sex-pot-doesn't-want-to-be-a-vampire-but-is) man comes on to the scene, smelling Yuki's blood because he would know that delicious smell anywhere. Points his Bloody Rose at them and screams "The Presence of two Vampires" baring fangs and all ("Umm excuse me, you're one too)

Ok sorry so anyways. Kanami holds Yuki closely and Yuki is struggling to demand that Zero stop,(but only with the calling of his name)....Zero is about to shoot, and you know who he's pointing to first....Yuki hesitates....the scene changes are dramatic....and Yuki adds the FINAL BLOW!!

---MAJOR SPOILER---

"He...He's my Older Brother!!"

WHAT!!!! The fan girls are screaming, no longer in squeeling bliss, we go through many emotions: Shock, confusion, we quickly begin thinking back to chapters past on Kanami's interaction with Yuki, and last but not least we think, "Ellllwwwww" she macked with her brother. GROSS!!The fan girls become uncomfortable with this realization but before we can really think on it we are sent into Yuki's past... So a few more pages go by, Zero is just as shocked as we are, and somewhere between her announcement and the last page Yuki has collapsed/fainted and Zero makes the only necessary remark..."Brother...and Sister?" (he's probably thinking the same thing we are, elllww). And then Kanami brings us back with his simple "Psh"..."I would have been happier...if I was born as her real "Brother".

The fangirls release a breath they didn't know they were holding, the scene is quiet, we are once again shocked and mesmerized, and once again we are comfortable with their relationship, why you ask? Because they aren't blood, and we are happy fan girls again! Hahahah. Matsuri Hino has done it again, she has mastered this type of service! I bow to thee Matsuri-sama!

I do believe I will be coloring a scantalation soon...

Yah know, its always alittle disappointing when you've worked so hard on something and then you enter it into the contest, and the people have the audacity to ask you if you made it!!

I lost the calendar contest because the people at my company do not believe I created this image:


Well whatever, I have the original sketches that shows I completed this at work and scanned it and re-did it in photoshop, if you don't believe someone at your work could create this then screw you. What a bunch of jerks. But alas I am only more proud of it knowing that it was done so well that they assumed it not to be mine. They can kiss it!

My office asked me to create a calendar for our office alone, they were all pissed that I wasn't even placed in the calendar at all. lol. So I thought about it, and thought it would be cool, so I'm going to do it I only have a few weeks, so we'll see if I finish in time lol. Of course all of the pictures I will place on here Some may be ones I already have on here

I think being positive about my artwork is key, and being happy with what Ive done because it was fun is all that counts I don't plan on making a career out of this, at least not right now lol.

Umm Aleetha (thats my daughter in case you forgot or I don't talk about her enough hehee) she is like WALKING NOW, ZOMG!! Yah she walks all over the house causing a things to topple over, she dances too!! She loves those little mechanical singing plush bears and dogs that you can buy at the Hallmark store, omg its soooo funny, I will have to post some pictures ok!!

Also, my friend is dyeing my hair sorta blonde on Sunday ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Ive never been a blonde in my life, Ive spent all my existence making fun of them, how could I be such a TRAITOR to the smart sophisticated BRUNETTE! Man we are having the craziest Santa Ana winds, nearly blew me over walking to work this morning. And the fire in Irvine Canyon is blazing out of control, all the black smoke and ash is covering my apartment complex, really nasty stuff to breathe. Although I'm kinda use to it considering this happens every year. Although this year is looking pretty bad. We have fires burning all over, reminds me of '03 when all of So Cal was aflame and the sky rained ash for like 4 days.

The weather is so dry and windy right now that when you walk outside the very moisture within your eyes is sucked out debri is left in its place. Its rather horrible. So we don't go outside unless necessary and we don't open any windows, its air conditioning time. I really hate the fact thats it late October and its 80 degrees F. And 0 ( I do mean ZERO) humidity. ugh!

So anyways, hope I don't get blown away!!!!!!!~~~

OKay so Number 16 of the Manga has got to be my all time favorite of the series, even beyond the future ones. Why you ask? Because I absolutely ADORED the story about Kyoko and Katsuya, Tohrus parents. I cried, I seriously cried after that chapter. THATS ME!! Me and my husband!!! I couldn't help but draw direct correlations and the idea of losing my husband, forgetting everything, and then remembering, I am needed, that little someone we created needs me. OMG, I was balling by that time and my husband was like... o.o

Are you ok? And I was like OMG ((((I LOVE YOU))))!!! And he was like >.>

Yah, so ummm it was awesome, I told him to read it, and I read parts out loud. I got an aww and hmmm from him, but his smile was the most generous. Thank you love. <3

Anywho, I just finished reading the last 2 books, yes I'm behind, so sue me. And yes I kind of sort of already know whats going to happen, but I do enjoy reading them when they come out.

Well I just found out today that I got the job with a new account. I am very pleased that I got this new job. With it comes new responsibilities, new people, new stress haha. But thats okay I am ready for anything. I have worked at a certain mortgage company for the past 3 years and it was getting rather stagnant, it was most definetly time for change. This new position will take some getting use to, but it will be a nice chance for sure. I get bored doing the same thing year in and year out. I could never be one of those people who stayed in my position for 10+ years, honestly it would drive me nuts. I am excited and I'm happy. Glad to have found a job close to where I previously worked (no lie its across the street) and my main boss has stayed the same (she moved to this new company before me) I really like her so it was really cool that I will be working with her again. And my direct manager seems really nice and down to earth. I think she was shocked with my blunt honesty, but it got me the job haha! Anyway thats all for now. Currently I need to email the crap out of my current company to announce my leave and who to conact and yadda yadda yadda. Yah good times. ^^b

So I'm sitting here in my office and I'm slowly melting. Is it hot outside? No actually its a cool 75 degrees (28 degrees in Celsius thank you). But the problem is inside. Its hot, when the air isn't running in an office building, at least a decent sized one, (like the one I'm in 11 floors) then your gonna fry, even in winter. Why? because theres no damn ventilation. And that sucks. Rooms get stuffy, offices get clammy. Yah its a no bueno. SO! I thought I would sit in my office and write a good 'ol journal. Oooooh the air is back on. Life is good again.

So anyways back to my journal. So Ive been messing with different mediums of artwork. I desperately wanna attempt to continue drawing anime. I wanna be to a level I can appreciate. When I look at my work, I am none to happy. SO! back to practicing more.

Boy am I glad its Friday. Why you ask? Actually you probably didn't ask because you probably already have a pretty good idea of why. But anyways, Im going to tell you. XD

My mail office moved. And I did alot of the moving myself. It was back breaking and tiring. I am about ready to fall asleep at my new posh desk. Thats about the only plus to this new smaller mail office. I call it a mail office, because it cannot be deemed a "Mailroom", because it does not have any of the requirements to BE a mailroom. So anyways, that what it is, an office. We are merely here to recieve small things and deliver. Well the other employee is. I receive everything and sit in the posh office ha ha ha. Ive never had such a big office before. Its bigger then my boss's. Its funny what things boost my desire to work haha. I think if we gave everyone their own personal offices, that people would be alot happier. But I am sure that not as much work would get done hahah. No actually Ive gotten alot done today.

This weekend I am going to clean my house. Go to the dentist ><, and spend my weekend with my hubby and my baby . Yes indeed, sounds like fun to me. OH! And sleep in, till 7am anyway, thats as long as 'Leetha will let me sleep in hee hee. Anyways, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and remember your sun block.

So lastnight Aleetha wasn't being her normal perfect-baby-self, hehe, not that she always is, but lastnight was rather difficult, it took alot of screaming on her part, and a lot of patience on my husbands part (I had lost mine), to finally get her to fall asleep. So needless to say we didn't get alot of sleep. Now I woke up far too early this morning due to the fact the said baby was ready to take on the day.

So I get ready, I'm wearing my biege khaki pants and we walk out the door, ready to face another day. Now like I do everyday I start trudging over this hilly slope that divides the car park from the apartment complex, with 'Leetha in my arms. Not realizing that the slope consisting of dirt and grass is slightly damp, we descend at a rapid rate to the ground. I pull Aleetha closer and I fall backwards on my tail bone, she's crying, Im wincing. >< 'Leetha is okay and so am I to an extent. My lower back is killing me and my neck is feeling too swell either, I think I snapped it back during the fall. GAWD do I feel old. My freaking pants have the nastiest grass stains I haven't been able to rival since when I was like 8. XD Good times.

Anyway, from now on I'm taking the sides, no matter how far away and stupid it is that they aren't in the middle also, I don't want to place Aleetha in that kind of danger again.

On another note. Everyone missed my kiriban. /sigh

Man, sometimes work can be so damn boring. Once again I have been sent to a new and rather dull site. I basically sit. And sit, do some emails, scan some items in, and sit some more. Ive been catching up on my fanfictin stories, which I have to say is a plus (+) because some people are really writing some good stuff. I haven't finished the chapters for ~Melodic Memory, my beloved Sess/Kag drama, Im so critical of it, sometimes I feel like taking it off all the sites and re-writing the entire thing. But whatever, its only fanfiction. And speaking of that, Ive gone and done the most crazy thing, Ive gone and written some Labyrinth fanfiction, yes yes I know, how effing lame huh, well whatever, with Sesshoumaru and Jareth visions dancing in my head I can't really complain. Yah know I realized today how much they have in common; they are both arrogant, both strong and powerful, both the villains but not really, and both HELLO effing gorgeous!!! Haute, Hot, Hawt!!! I want some right now. Can I have both served on a platter, ala carte please. ^.^;;; BTW, have ANY of you people while reading a Sesshoumaru fanfiction ever placed a rather sophisticated british accent on Sesshoumaru? Come on you know you have!!

Stupid I know. But I just looked at my little baby age reader, and I was like, jeez, I remember when my daughter was only at the begining of the little thing, and now shes getting past the middle , so yah, its just ugh, crazy. Sometimes I wish time would just slow down a little so I can freaking catch up! And although I am in high spirits, I am slightly perturbed. Perhaps I need a vacation, far away. I will think on this later, for I am in too good of a mood right now to get all distracted by things that will only upset me later.

Well Im doing as well as anyone can expect to be doing I presume. Aleetha is 6 months old 0.0 I know, time flies XD, I will post pictures soon!!

Ive been working on little things here and there, but nothing that great, Ive actually been going back to basics ( I guess one could call it that), Ive been working on creating better body structures and drawing hair better. And Ive also been looking for some good downloadable brushes for PS CS, cuz I just can't seem to make my own like everyone is does. ;;

Hope everyone is doing well!!! I joined a new Club! A Labyrinth the Movie club!!! I love that movie, and I don't care what anyone thinks, David Bowie is hotness as Jareth XD :::swoons:::

Happy New Year my fellow Deviants, Its a new year full of new creativism, new experiences and most of all NEW ART! haha.

I am very excited about this year, theres my daughter, my new job, and plenty of new art peices I have yet to work on. I want to work on creating better artwork, spending more time and effort on them.

I am hopeing for constructive criticism from my newest works because I truly want to get better. I am also going to attempt to be more productive within the clubs that I am respectably a member of, because a whole year went by and I haven't participated in a single contest. Juggling my marriage, my job, and my daughter has been quite an experience but totally worth it.

Anyways, enough with that. I would like to offer my next Kiriban (which I haven't done in like FOREVER) @ 5,555!!! So the person who gets pageview 5,555 on my page, print screen and then send it to me as proof, and I will do a Fairy or Anime picture especially for YOU!!!! Hope everyone participates!!!!

Yah so I was bored and finally created a music video using footage from one of my fav episodes of Inuyasha. It's ok, for 30 minutes. If I actually took the time I think I could make a pretty decent one, perhaps if i gathered all the Sesshoumaru fottage I can grab from all my videos, gawd that would take forever, but it would be fun. Maybe I will, and I'll do it to a really great trance song, or trip-hop, yah!! *Sin gets ideas*

So today totally sucked!! And when I say totally sucked I mean I was a crying balling mess!! Why you ask?? I did the unthinkable.

I hurt Aleetha ; ; (not on purpose of course)

I had just given her a bath and I was cutting her little finger nails with the tiny nail cutter (which I have done previously with no issues) and BAM, I clipped the top of her index finger, and blood was coming out. Sintar began to panic and I cried, she cried for a moment, but then eventually fell asleep. Matthew (my husband) had to run and get the first-aid kit as I cried and freaked out. OMG I never want to do that again, and I know it is inevitable that she will hurt herself, but when you accidentially hurt your child, omg, you really feel pain and sorrow, and you beat yourself up about it, I don't care who you are
So needless to say things are better now, but that was my first panic mode issue. It was scary and Im glad she's ok now ; ;
