Last SketchBomb was HUMONGOUS!  We had over 65 people there.  I lost count at that point as numbers grew.  I owe a huge and emphatic "Thank you!!" to everyone who attending.  I fear we are outgrowing our current venue, but that's a good problem to have.

Sorry that the updates have been lacking lately.  Things have been busy.

In order to do a bit of clean up in the members section, if you haven't submitted any art to SketchBomb please do so.  I'll be demoting everyone in the "Attendees" section by the end of the week to "Members" if nothing has been submitted.  If you are then in the Members area for the next couple of weeks I'll just boot ya.  If you have contributed anything at all at any point then you are safe.

Also, check the countdown clock for the next SketchBomb.  I'll post a journal on it when we are getting close.

Not only is it a new SketchBomb... but it's the 1 Year Anniversary of SketchBomb!  In the last year we have seen the attendance go from 6 or 7 like-minded individuals to a whopping 30 people (approximately) on a regular basis!  Plus we've expanded from just :iconsketchbomb-sf: to also having :iconsketchBomb-sac: :iconsketchbomb-NC: and :iconsketchbomb-sea:  What?! Last night's SketchBomb was a great.  It was awesome to see so many new faces.  With next month being the 1 year anniversary of SketchBomb, it's a very good time to jump on board!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  I need everyone who is currently part of the group to do me a favor.  Please go into the Featured folder and copy your pieces into the correct folder.  That way we will have everything in the featured folder and then we will have two folders that specifies random sketches and sketches done at SketchBomb events.  If for some reason you can't move your pieces then please send me a note to let me know.

I'm proud to announce that two new chapters of SketchBomb have started up.  I started with :iconsketchbomb-sf: back in March and I've been continually blown away by the numbers and enthusiasm of the Bombers that turn out every month.  I held a SketchBomb in Chicago during Wizard World and that, too, was a success.  The energy that these successes has given me seems to have transferred a bit to those who have attended these Bombs.

What is SketchBomb?

Wizard World Chicago was awesome!  I'm so tired but it was worth it.  Met a lot of peeps I've only known internetly up until now.  It was great.

We had a successful SketchBomb in Chicago (well... Rosemont, really) and I had an awesome time.  I hope everyone else did, too.  I plan on uploading my sketches from it, and some have already started popping up from people.  Like this one by :iconspaghetti016:!:

Last night's SketchBomb was great!  We had the most people we've ever had (I think we are seriously out-growing our venue now) and a bunch of them were new faces.  Everyone had a blast and turned out some awesome sketches.  We did two free-sketches and two themed ones (Steampunk Robot and Batman).  The sketches should make it up on the group page in the next few days.

We had double the amount of people at this SketchBomb than we did the last.  It was awesome to see so many new faces and returning all stars!  And this time, I remember everyone's name!

Thanks to Emile, Irisa, Ryan, Brian, Paige, Gabe, Tanith, Ryan, Glen, Lisa, and DJ for stopping by and throwing down (I said I would remember the names, not the spelling.  Sorry if I spelled it wrong!).  We did two themes:  1) Vikings and Dragons (inspired by How To Train Your Dragon, of course) and 2) we picked names out of a hat and drew each other as heroes/villains (thought up by Glen and inspired by Kick Ass).  It was a blast and hopefully we can ]]>
