Something about DA makes one think that they can go a few days without dealing with the inbox and tricks you into thinking it's not nearly as much as it actually is. Well, no time like the present to work on clearing this out (and so, apologies to people who get comments several hundred thousand days late).

Did I mention I quit my job? I did and it felt good, because he was trying to tactfully fire me at the time. The letter I slapped in the table with a cheshire grin was short, mocking and sarcastic and I don't care, because I knew everyone was planning to quit within a month and it was all his fault for being a bad manager.

OH! I just found out yesterday that someone I despise is losing his job and his car is broken beyond repair and I laughed and laughed and laughed, and then baked a cake to celebrate. It felt damn good, because it's about time Karma snuck up and gave him a surprise ball-wrenching *snrk*

22 is not all it's cracked up to be and...wait, is it cracked up to be anything at all? No? Oh, okay, nevermind.

Great news! The school likes me so much that they called and offered a small job for a weekend, overseeing some other students do their work. "It's twenty bucks an hour, a do-nothing job, sweet deal," they said. And so, I accepted. Sitting perfectly still in a task chair. And silent. From 7:30am to 5:30pm. For two days. Needless to say, I had to work extra hard to stay entertained so I didn't lose my mind and wire the entire fucking building with explosives. I'm sure that what I'm about to say will shock and alarm you, so I hope you're sitting down: TEST PROCTORING IS FUCKING BORING! I know. I was just as dumbfounded as you are. Feel free to take a minute to catch your breath.

It was like I was in hell. And hell was sponsored by the NCIDQ.
I know that if it weren't for Ali sitting next to me, an endless supply of sudoku puzzles, and a ream of white paper and a pen, I would have taken a bathroom break to run outside and decapitate a child. I suppose what I'm getting at is: what are your favorite pastimes in moments of unbearable boredom?

A couple months have passed in which things happened. There was a conflict, an antagonist and a love interest. There were definitely people, vicious letters, and violents outbursts. There were moments strung together. Then it ended.

This is pretty much how my life went. The Boy became The Situation With The Boy, which became The Boy is an Unconscionable Monster DIE DIE DIE. What makes it so easy is the abundance of flaws he was plagued with, and the myriad of ways I can do better (something I knew at the time when everything was roses, even. ZAM.)

Enough with the drama. I am working on a fabulous project for ~massgrfx and it'll consume my life until the first week of September, after which I will tackle my finally organized piles of works in progress. Unfortunately, it's made of equal parts original work and gifts for other people. I never forget things owed, but I get such ADD when it comes to art that i just panic and get nothing done. Le sigh.

Holy monkey, I kind of forgot DA existed XD
Hmm, as for the summer, so far, so good; graduated mid-May and spent the next 4 weeks or so helping to design the school catalog which was a blast. Also went to Las Vegas for a weekend with my lovely friend Merimask to meet with her brother over a cool illustration job. It's happening and is a giant, epic, beautiful thing, that'll hopefully keep me more than occupied this summer.

Let's see, what else...my tattoo sketches are coming around bit by bit, and I'm leaving tomorrow morning early (8am, ew) to go camping with The Boy and his cousins for the weekend <3 <3
Because the last semseter of school was so busy I didn't get to draw at all, but now that that shite is over with, hopefully I can sit down and really finish all the things in my progress pile *crosses fingers* Will also open sketch commissions again if anyone is interested.

Another year here, hot damn! Well, I'm back in school and not much to say except I LOVE my shiny, 2 day schedule! It's fabulous having so much time free because then I can actually work on fixing all the old work in my portfolio instead of panicing at the end of the semester. *sigh*

Got 600+ devs in my inbox to sift through, because they're all so wonderful, but it's taking so long. Slowly but surely!

OOH, also had an idea that can use input: was chatting with a friend and the idea of a drawing round robin came up, and thought it would be cool to have one based on original characters. Someone starts by throwing down on a blank canvas and passing it along so each person can add their char to it. until epic drawing happens. Hmm, it was a lot mre planned out in my head earlier XD

Ho ho ho, what a month! With Christmas coming up I've been wicked busy making cards (handmade? whose bright idea whas that?! oh...right), shopping and carefully balancing avoiding certain family members while trying to contact others. Huhuhu-I am stealth.

This month in this small corner of the universe:
Had my portfoio review which went very well (though I never get to show much of my drawings. Oh well.) and the week of panic that cam beforehand, which was less good.

And I got a Wacom Intuous 3 for my birthday! *happyjoy* God I love my mum, it's so incredible and makes life *that* much more awesome :3 (Plus I turned 21, so that was a plus!)
And what better to break it in with than a copy of OpenCanvas Plus from the bodacious ? Nothing, that's what!

With my new arsenal of Cool, I'm actually on-track to do an xmas picture if I can weasel out of some sort of gathering on Sunday. After new years, I'll probably open a freebies sketch/drawing list if anyone is interested. Happy pre-holiday weekend, ya'll!

School's keeping me busy and we've had some major techinical issues on my laptop resulting in some corrupted photoshop commish files (sorry sorry!) and some anatomy issues when it comes to my wrists. Doctor says coloring with a mouse any longer will ensure I don't have a future, but I think she's lying.

+ I was all psyched to hit up Anime Boston this year but being nastily ill kinda put a huge damper on things. SO NOT SMASHING.
+ I used a tablet for the first time this week and I. Fucking. Want. One. No more digital coloring with a mouse, my wrist sounds like a fecking corn-popper. So now I'll be saving up and puttign commission cash towards one, because DADDY WANT.

+ Virginia Beach was fantastic, and I am now not as pasty white as I usually am
+ Going through my sad collection, realized I have doubles of some manga and so will put those babies up for sale. I'm too lazy to post about them now, but will update when I do. HOORAY for utter sloth.

Also, what the hell is this meme-thing that creeps up now and again that's supposed to "find out who your true friends are?" It claims to weed out who's a real watcher and who's just friend collecting. Now excuse me for a moment, but (a) that's fucking ridiculous and (2) that's not how it works here like it does in LJ. No one cares about how many people you're watching. Being watched has no negative effects on the watchee, in fact, it's more troublesome for the watcher because they're the ones who have to troll through a million deviations. Personally, I have a hard time limiting who I watch so my inbox doens't make me run screaming to the nearest gaping chasm of Doom. Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is: that's really dumb.

Anyways, I'm out tomorrow morning my my official "I hate all of you, get away from me" trip that I had to organize during portfolio reviews because stress really sucks and it made me hate all of my teachers. Well, school's been out of session for a few weeks now, but I'm still all pumped to go to Virginia Beach for lots of sitting around and doing nothing but order room service, watch anime and cheesy action movies, and drink and eat. It will all serve to soothe my soul and ease the choking hatred of my chi :3

Should get on my giant FFVII commission but...you know...the laziness.....

6 weird habits/things about myself that you don't already know:

1.) I really enjoy cleaning my room. Really. It starts off as a dance party most of the time.

2.) When I'm exhausted, I see things in the corner of my vision that always scare the hell out of me. Especially when it happens in the shower or in the hall in front of my place.

3.) Stacked into one pile, my manga tower would be 128" high. For those of you fumbling with the Accessories panel to get to the calculator, that's 10' 8". Yikes.

4.) I have a serious love/hate relationship with my body. I love my hair, having big feet (yeah, you just TRY and knock me over on the train), my calves, the one rib that cracks everytime I laugh really hard, my forearms and nails. I hate the chub, scarring easily (my newest addition starts in my bellybutton and curves down and outward thanks to my cat), really terrible eyesight, hips fit for bearing triplits and wide shoulders that would qualify me as a linebacker fior the Lions.

5.) I have always been a lucid dreamer. To be able to control so much in your dream is totally badass. Not everything can be,but enough so nothing bothers you, like this: "why the hell am I being chased by some psycho on top of the train? Well, I'll just slow down time, spread some wings - no, purple ones - and fly away" and then do it. It's fucking amazing, and you can do some weird shit to people you hate. :3

Never has a simple train ride to school been so fraught with peril and strife and loss of innocence. It began when I espied a vacated seat and I, being a delicate flower of a woman in need of constant luxury and comfort, barreled through the crowds like a linebacker running for daylight towards it. Unfortunately, in the seconds before my ass was able to bask in the pre-heated glory of the cushioned seat, it was challeneged by one belonging to an elderly and infinitely cranky Russian woman who made the insinuation through her garbled speech that, as an elderly Russian woman, I should give a shit. Rather than act on my first impulse, which was to heave my bag at her face screaming "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING HOR?" I was able to keep a straight face while sliding right in in front of her like I had no idea what I'd done, and wasn't laughing derisively at her on the inside. It's disconcerting when I run across those very few people who have yet to learn that rush hour on the train is a balls-to-the-wall, every man for himself ordeal, and no manner of crippled, elderly, or raging fires will get me off the car.

In other news....actually, I got nothing.

Whatever. I bought a ton of new supplies including some Dr. Ph Martin's ink, which I'm aching to break in, and a canvas to dick around on, because I really liked painting when I tried it. Still deciding whether to do oil or acrylics. Probably acrylic, becase when I work with oil, I manage to spread it all over the place, and the smell of it makes my tummy sad.

I need to stop eating Christmas chocolate. (but it's so damn good!)

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...

Started my birthday list already, because I'm sure to forget the stuff I want when the time comes (-_-') I'm sure to recieve none of it, and therein lies the novelty.

In other news....hmm...I may be going to Providence this Thursday to get a tattoo done, but we'll see. I have class that day at 5, and it's an hour commute each way, so I need to do a bit of time-crunching to work it out.

Also, some huge, drunk dude mooshed my arm on the train and now my wrist is all shakey and not-working when it comes to drawing. It has also apparently afected my ability to type proper sentences. (T_T)

Been slowly exploring the DA communities and clubs and really had to limit myself on joining every single one I love. Because I fangirled violently when I saw Howl's Moving Castle, joining ~HMCC was a give in and I really need to get on my submission for ~eerie-queerie. But I've been berating my muse more than usual, and the heat wave is over so drawings are slowly progressing. I lost my to-do list which SUCKS becasue I list every idea along with dates of when I list it and when I complete it, because I'm hopeless when I need to organize my artsy life.

Oh, if anyone has any really good recipies, send them over, because I've been cooking like a madwoman all week for no reason. Maybe the air conditioning froze the rational part of my brain? Anything at all: soup, dessert, whatever ethnicity, just no seafood (not for me).

Art History final tomorrow and then FREEDOM LIKE NOTHING ELSE. Will spent Wednesday sleeping and it will be good.

Because going alone is NOT an option. Now that I think about it, I have to work in the gallery someday that week, I should probably check to make sure it doesn't clash. And if it does, hard cheese, I'm going.

Debating who to go as, if anyone. It's a toss up between Mugen (Samurai Champloo), Blue (Wolf's Rain), Misao (RuroKen), Miroku (duh), Kagura or Nataku (Saiyuki). Eek, why are half of them guys? Whatever, they're just easier. I'm leaning towards Nataku (love the outfit, but the hair would be a bitch for me) or Mugen (because it would be so simple and plus, he's amazing) but we'll see. With the workload I'm struggling under *is ready to burn down the school* I might not have time to finish either one, but there's always next year!

We're also thinking of posting in the AB05 forum to see if anyone would be interested in doing a Friday night dinner at Fire + Ice (at Arlington) to just hang out, stuff our faces and do what we do best: fangirl and fanboy! It would be so much fun to chill and socialize with like minded people, y'know?

After spending a few hours with my friend's snake, I've decided to get one. I've always wanted one and almost got a Ball Python in 7th grade, but the tank got badly cracked and if I wanted to upgrade to those HUGE tanks, it would have been a few hundred which, back then, was beyond the moon for me. Met Zoe at Central Square at 7:30 where we were immediatle accosted by one of many vagrants who reside there. Excusing ourselves (running away) we made a hearty meal at Burger King...shut up! You know you like it! and waited for Gianna. We still had time to kill and weren't in the mood to stand at the door for 45 minutes, so we proceeded to order more fries from a place across the street. We sat in the window where we able to watch (mock) all the scene kids who were hanging around outside being scene.

I. Hate. Scene. Kids. You're 23, GET A JOB. Friggin...grrrr. Blah blah blah, stood in line and the only exciting thing that happened was I accidently kicked some guy in the ass. burn. On our way downstairs, we caused holdup while eyeing a poster for Shonen Knife. Totally going to see them, who cares if I have an 8am midterm the next day? Puttered around as they got their shit set up and then LOVE. Jack comes parading out looking for all the world like a vampire. A really gay vampire. Red contacts, black lip and eye liner, and just being my favorite ugly-hot guy. What is it about him?! Didn't mosh (not a major mosher) but did rock out on the outskirts right next to the 9 ft wall of speakers. I could feel my jacket flapping in the wind from that thing. Several songs from their newer CD played at the beginning, but then their good ol' oldies including Just The Best Party, Ancestral Homeland New Jersey, Heartattack '64 etc etc. And I must say, I really miss singers that give a little intro between sets.

I started to get really dizzy in their last songs so I had to ease up on the rocking. They also ran over their time becasue we all kept crying our for 'one more! One more! One more!' and Jack hates to let his fans down. Afterwards, we chilled with the drummer (the hot chick, not the other one) as we got ourselves some water (yes! My first show where there was FREE water. Who knew?) and she's amazing. Also sat with Jack and tried not to kidnap him since that would probably upset his girlfriend, but settled for shaking his hand. We didn't stay for New Model Army since the fries my friends ate earlier were apparently laced with strychnine and giving them cramps, hopped on the Red Line and had an unadvernterous ride home. Yay! Good times riddled with racy comments, lewd bahavior and overall obnoxiousness...I miss these days.

I've been having sparatic artistic moments, which comes out in really weird ways, namely doodling on the train on my way to school. I've been really wanting to do some oekaki lately, but methinks I should spend the free time I have on finishing all the sketches that're creeping about. Have all the Watership Down chars (that I like), the rest of the IY sins and other random stuff (including an almost nekkid yaoi thing if *Kuniicha is still interested in a collab) sketched, and an incomplete cute Hamel-ness to keep me busy.

Decided against a 3 day registration for Anime Boston unless Em decides to come back early, because it would rule SO much. I am going to pimp out the dealers room like nobody's business! *drools in anticipation* I think that it's during my portfolio week, so noooo classes!! Just anime! Speaking of which (sorta not really), am kinda pissed that Miramax bought the rights to 'Tale of Two Sisters' because every remake of Japanese horror movies suck. Hard. Saw Ju-On more than a year ago and then BAM! Something vaguely familiar with Sarah Michelle Gellar. And then, before christmas, I watch Tale of Two Sisters and now "oh, let's make a shitty simplified remake of a really creepy complex story so our thich viewers can understand it." Myeh. I have a prediction!! Next on the chopping block will be The Eye, The Eye 2, and oh, let's say Ichi The Killer. If there is a loving god, they will never ever redo Azumi, Casshern (fabulous movie, I watch it almost every night) or Legend of Zu, which is a remake in itself (-_-')

Going to the MFA for a Western Art field trip, and we're gonna check out the work of Damien Hurst and I'm really excited to see it. Dead animals in things! I picture a very Burton-esque event, but maybe that's just me getting my hopes up.

Had my first day back today with my first class at 8:30. Incidently, I've been waking up at about 1:30pm for the past month, but you know, I'll work around that. I was out by noon (thank god) but wait! I had a dentist appointment! And not just a normal cleaning, which I wouldn't bitch about, but a filling, so I was the lucky girl getting a NEEDLE IN MY FACE I DON'T LIKE THAT SHIT.

Whew, that felt good.

I have a huge list of shit to draw, and a lot of stuff I did over break needs to be scanned and/or tweaked. becasue I'm such an uninspired procrastinator, I have to really have to sit myself down and tell myself exactly what I need to do. (on another note, I actually found myself saying "we" instead of "I" today) However, when I read or listen to certain things, it'll juts strike me and I'll doodle something to finish later (never). A good example would be something I started over summer, drawing the characters from Watership Down as humans, but then I got distracted as I'm wont to do. GAAAHH!!

Well, I'm sure that once I get back into the school groove, I finally get soemthing kindof done.

As it turns out, tracing and stealing characters is okay on DA!

I do not support this policy AT ALL, nor do I support DA's intolerance towards homosexuals and male anatomy, which apparently still stagnates this site.

Basically what that policy above states is if some little asswipe sees your art, prints it, traces it, and posts it on DA as his own, there's NOTHING you can do about it. What. The. Fuck. COPYRIGHTS As a victim of art theft in the past, I cannot tolerate this attitude by any means.

There's a fine line between learning and outright stealing. TRACING TEACHES YOU NOTHING EXCEPT HOW TO TRACE. The best way to learn how to draw anything is by looking up examples/drawing from observation. Not tracing. No qualified art teacher anywhere will tell you tracing is a good habit, nor a proper way to become a great artist. If you feel you must trace, what's the point of posting it? It's practically not your art. What, are you proud that you know how to use tracing paper?

If more people knew about this subtle policy, I have no doubt that thieves everywhere on DA would gladly take advantage of it. It's unfortunate that many honest artists do not know of this policy. If they did, I wonder how many people would stay here at all. And who knows? Before you know it, there'll be rip offs of beautiful works by frail and pu-sama everywhere and nothing will be done about it. I know my art isn't much in comparison to those two (out of countless other amazing artist folk), but for all I know, someone's posting tracings of my art and my characters in some obscure corner of DA at this very moment too.

What kind of art site promotes that kind of "learning"?

I must also ask those reading to NOT flame SaddenTiger23. People have been coming down extremely hard on her (which was amazing and I do not feel bad) but it caused the DA mods to come raining down in a fiery ball of copyright law quotes and horseshit. They're sticking up for her becasue they say she's learning and that DA conists of gaggles of fangirls (and boys) who follow talented artists and don't think for themselves and will start flamewars for their idols' sakes. Well, I say that DA consists of bands of limp-wristed, cocksmoking fucking wankers (that's right, ya gonna censor me now too?) when it comes to this subject of what they believe constitues as ripped art.

Heeding nekou's advice, I've checked out and joined SheezyART, which is an awesome place.

I encourage anyone to post this journal on their page as well, in whole or in part to just spread the word.

I finally fixed my computer so that that it's not being a gaytard about clicking 'favorites' anymore. Before, whenever I tried, the thing would explode in a mushroom cloud and laugh at me. But seriously, it would 404 up on me. So now I'm gonna go around and pimp out all the awesome drawings.

Also started a new drawing series, but since I'm horrible about working in a timely fashion, I'm gonna wait until I have at least 3 of the 7 done to see if its actually gonna come through.

Still cashing in with the holiday spending. I gotta say, I love CD Sins, so much used anime after the christmas rush. *sighs dreamily* And I bought a Jaken plush which I have a big crush on!

I didn't ask for anything becasue I'm not wanting for much at this point, just supplies for my classes. That was my Thanksgiving present actually, a G4 laptop, from mom. And a guy in my class gave me the Adobe Creative Suite, so I can do all my homework AT home now. Maybe this means I can sleep during the week.

Big ass joint project with the interior designers is due soon, and I'm turning into such a stress mokey over it, cause I got a lot of shit to make. But, with four more days of school, I thinkI can make it.

Been struggling to fix this one piccie for my LiveJournal. Decided to post only writings and art there, cause who the hell cares about my day? I sure don't!

On a slightly more serious note, I haven't updated in so long becasue, lets face it, schoolife is sucking out my soul. Well not really, but I have barely enough time to do my work, eat, and catch a few hours of sleep. But my classmates rule, so it's all good. But I am working on about 15 pieces, on and off.
Only request: to ~Agonyrocks, I made a sketch of said bishie after you mentioned it, and I inked it last week, but then I ran off to do other things. Gomen!
I've also been revamping my story (again. this is like the 40th time since it started back in grade school) to include new characters, change some old ones and all that good shit. Someday, I might post it, or parts of it so people can find out why some of my OC's are the way they are. Wait..no one wants to know or cares!! heh..silly me.
Sorry this is so damn long, but I have the day off with nothing to do but update this and sign up for The Facebook ([link]) which is pretty cool.

I've waited my whole life, and we finally won! Not just won, but SWEPT the Cardinals off their feet. Not to mention it was coming back from a 3 game loss to the Evil Empire, so a total of 8 straight wins to be World Series Champions for the first time since 1918!!

It took 86 years and a 30 year-old kid from Brookline to do it, but we did.

Sorry for the rant, I'm a little ecstatic right now. And if you'll excuse me, I need to go to Fenway and party!

On other notes, sorry to anyone I promised drawings to and haven't delivered. I'm uber busy with schoolwork and barely have enough time for personal drawing and writings and such. Urk. Okay, I think that's all.

I have a ton of new sketches I should be finishing, but..eh. I'm generally uninspired and lazy, but if you want me to draw you something, I'd be more than happy to do so. Get me off my lazy butt.

I am an anime fiend. I've been an Inuyasha fan since 1997, and it's my love for the purity and integrity of the series that makes me say I hate Inuyasha n00bies, and have no problem harassing the stupid ones.

What a freaking day. Me and a friend drove around downtown to go to all the art stores to buy tons of supplies we don't need. Then off to her house to eat massive amounts of food and watch anime! Tonights features were Perfect Blue, Devil Lady and Azumi (which isn't an anime, but japanese, and AWESOME). You should watch it.
