and when i sat in the counter, i accidentally gave 300 :- back to a customer (who luckily came back with the money). so later when i said to the girl who works in the fruit&vegetables area "i´ll go and see if they need some help in the counter", she responded "uuhhh no i need you here!!" even though she could manage entirely on her own with the vegetables

a few years ago my school class spent 2 days in a small area of huts called gunleudd, located near the sea. we had lots of activities during the days and in the evenings, which of course caused me to have like 15 mosquito bites only on my FOOT. it was a total nightmare.

john and petronella are so nice, they are members of the african dance group "wayo-wayo" thats touring in sweden for the moment. today my family and the organizers agreed to invite the whole dance group to our house to have some barbecue and chill out in the garden. luckily the weather turned out very nice and the evening was just... magical in so many ways. they brought their big drums and for about one hour 10 africans + 10 or so neighbours danced and sang in swahili in our garden, and the sounds from the drums were SO FRIGGIN LOUD! curious neighbours and strangers came and joined in the dance, and some people we know said that "you could hear the music and the singing several kilometers from here"! no shit.

neighbours from the whole street peeked out from their houses to see what was going on even before the africans started to dance, because they sat in the garden and enjoyed the food and talked SO LOUD and laughed SO LOUD! i was afraid some people who lived nearby was going to get angry since it was pretty late, but i guess thats a very swedish thing. like fredérique once said to me when i was worried because our friends from france were so loud: "stop being so fucking swedish!"

apart from having found some new friends, the best thing is all the african music i have discovered! "soul city", "brent lewis rhytm hunter" and "femi kuti". I LOVE IT!!! besides i got a gift from john (whos very pretty by the way), a beautiful bracelet.

its like im born all over again!

but its no ordinary weekend.. its the weekend when the seventh and final harry potter book is released! and we are going to borders or waterstone in the middle of the night and wait with hundreds of other fans in the queue and just enjoy the atmosphere and wear stupid pointy hats and cloaks and scars on our foreheads and.. basically just have the time of our lives!

i also intend to take them to forbidden planet on shaftesbury avenue, camden market (cyberdog!!), funplanet by leicester square and perhaps peek in some shops on oxford street and in covent garden. i love covent garden with all its crazy buskers and cozy restaurants and stuff

i cant wait to go back there again!!
