Guildford Grammer Choral Showcase thingy coming up. Should be fun... rehearsal especially. A whole day at Guildford with nothing to do but sing! And muck around... 'cause that's what we do.

Founder's Day is also fast approaching... Gypsy Dance ahoy! *cough* 6/8 + 2/4 time is WEIRD!!! Liberty Bell March is fun, and the new school hymn version is weird, but kinda cool. Which is an oxymoron, school hymn, cool? That could never happen! But this is kinda a cool version. If they can learn to play it properly. Should be fun at assembly trying to learn.

Anyway, Mr Cartwright's on tour, so we have Mr Talbot for band instead. He comes out with some funny stuff sometimes:

Anyway, Faure's Death Mass was a night to be remembered, lots of fun. Despite the awful tartan vests that are part of our music uniforms. I think we could have done without those. But anyway, musical rehearsals start tomorrow, as does choir for another term. The ANZAC day service is on Friday, with choir and concert band. Be a bit of a hectic day I think.

Although I would have been happier if we were able to have taken another tympani... yes I'm still moaning about that. Gypsy Dance is hard enough, but with only two tympani! It's even worse! But moving on...

It was awesome, despite the heat. And Mr Sutherland injuring his ankle. We have to feel a little sorry for him, 'cause he organised a great camp... even if it was a little disorganised. Hmm. Organised but disorganised... But it was a fantastic camp!

My feet are still sore from hours of standing up behind the tympani. And from the cramped, ridiculously hot bus trip back. I've never had a worse bus trip. Lucky Bianca got off early. But we're back now.

Talent night was awesome fun! Go Sensation High! And Me and Greta singing Super Trouper. That was heaps of fun. If our aim was to get everyone singing Super Trouper all night, I think we succeeded.

Anyway, I really hope we get asked back next year, 'cause that would be so awesomely cool!

In other other news, going to the galleria with Julia today. Beats staying at home all day, though it means I won't be watching Stargate...

*Sigh*

It was such a fantastic trip. We drove from Auckland to Rotorua and did all sorts of stuff. Including winning a Gold Achievement Award for our music. Go us. Skiing was a bit of a disappointment, but lugeing was awesome. Overall, I would so go on this trip again if I could.

I also have to say that Mr Cartwright, Mr Sutherland, Mrs Carroll and Mrs Talbot, a.k.a. Chief Mike, Count Sutherland, Duchess Jan and Lady Talbot, did a fantastic job on this trip.

Glad it's the holidays, I just got seasons 1 and 4 of NCIS, so lots of stuff to watch.
