So... I've been searching around my DeviantArt page and gallery for a while now, feeling rather dumb, you know? The reason is that I just can't find a goddamn link to my scraps! In the old ages, young friends, before all this sassy design, DeviantArt was an uglier, stiffer animal, BUT, and here's the whole point, there was a very CLEAR link that would take you into your scraps! Now they seem to exist on a magical limbo, where no human eyes are meant to pry. You may exile one of your lesser deviations there, but, just like dumping radioactive waste down on the Marianas Trench, don't expect nobody else to ever see it.

Perhaps this is a sort of silent but stern punishment the DA people came up with to keep people from uploading unfinished artwork?

Or maybe I'm partially blind and the link's RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE. If that's the case, help this fragile old man locate his long lost sketches and half-assed drawings.

PS: I looked in the site's Help and, according to them, the link SHOULD be here:

Well, today April's Zuda Competition ends.

The votes aren't visible, but considering the views and favs, seems that our comic, EARTHBUILDERS, is tied with the first place contestant. These last hours are decisive, and with no clear lead is hard to see who'd win. If you are a watcher and probably like my work, I'd ask you to give me a minute of your time to sign up at Zudacomics.com and vote for our comic.
Our work will be featured in POPGUN, an oversized anthology published by Image Comics, out in November! RG Llarena, Milton Sobreiro (my father) and me, after doing Living Morpheus for Heavy Metal earlier this year, got together again and did a short story called Remnants. It's a little dark fable about free will, involving a mysterious metal idol in a wasteland. I already uploaded a page so you people can get a glimpse of our work:

Here's the Amazon link where you can pre-order the anthology, but I don't think the cover being displayed there will be the final one, I'm pretty sure it will be this one:

I've been tagged by , who gave me the task to write down 10 things about my art and then tag 6 others. So, and ignoring if anyone out there would be interested to read this...

10) I always listen to music while I do it. ALWAYS.

9) Some of the many artists that inspire me for very different reasons are: Jean 'Moebius' Giraud, Enki Bilal, Mike Mignola, Simon Bisley, Frank Quitely and Bill Sienkiewicz.

8) My father, who's also an artist always supported me when I chose to follow his steps, he never pushed me towards it or against it.

7) I like to paint in acrylics once in a while, I'm not too good at it, though. I tried oil years ago but it takes forever to dry, so I never tried again (check next item)

6) I'm rather hasty when I draw, although I love to do it... even when I'm doing serious work I feel this urge to hurry and finish.

5) Among all subjects, I seem to have a tendency to draw old people, the more wrinkles the merrier. I don't know why. I also like to do monsters and such.

4) I used to HATE the women I draw, always rough-looking and wonky. Lately they've been improving.

3) Most of the time I'll be working in A4 (almost Letter-size) paper, making tiny drawings. I'm more comfortable doing even comics that small, despite the lack of details I can put there.

2) Even when I really like a drawing I do, a couple of years later I check it and usually think it's hideous and embarrasing.

1) I've always felt that I draw the way I can, never the way I want to.

Tag time!

I bought myself a new computer. I could do it thanks to some freelance jobs as an illustrator I've been doing. I worked with no time and in the end the pieces looked like shit, but the clients loved them. Here in Brasília seems like they just want to have it done fastly, not to have something good done. I'm not proud of the results, except for a couple. I also had to do " cartoony", and under-rendered drawings, so I was kind of out of my area... :S

I'm temporarily out of scanner, as soon as I can I'll upload things here.
