I'm still in shock as to what happened...

Typhoon Ondoy just came in too fast, and we were not prepared.

It took about an hour for the water to reach waist-deep in our Makati home.

I spent the night worrying about family and friends, watching the news for updates.
I spent the night worrying about and watching the water reaching the electrical outlets, for fear of the house burning down or electrocuting us in our sleep. Eep...

It was a sad morning as we inspected the damages of the flood in our house...
... but I was sort of happy as well.

I lost a lot of stuff, but I was beyond happy to know that friends and family were alive and well.

Kind of scared right now because I heard there's another storm coming (?) ...
