One a Day Challenge.

I managed to pick a name after spending the day staring at the list.
First, this is how I picked the names I liked. I wrote all the names that had the right meanings on some paper (without the meanings or the submitters name) I then cycled through the names while staring at the character and slowly removed the ones that didn't fit.

I was then left with a few names that sounded great, I paired them with his last name: Heradota or Cicero.

Eventually, there was one name that constantly rang and despite the meaning not being as complex as I liked the name just wouldn't unstick itself from the character.

The chosen name is "Daishomaru"
Meaning we have two main winners (w00t) as I stuck the name Daisho with the name Maru.

The winners are Tsubakiwolf for "Daisho" and Felflowne for "Maru"

Runners up are:

Jennifer for "Wenshisesh", It just sounded so cool together as Wenshisesh Heradota that it is now the name of Daishomaru's father and the leader of thier family.

Wingedmystery for "Erimentha" Which fits the crazy kid oracle perfectly.


Winners get some pimping and a free sketch! Runners up get sketches too. Let me know what you want me to draw!

DETAILS

So~oo, I made a new character and have big plans for him. Unfortunately he has got stuck with the name ‘Akito’ which does not fit him at all.


So because my life is not hectic enough I decided to turn it into a little competition. =^_^= lessee how this really turns out!

The prize will be a sketch by me of anything you ask for (with exceptions) that will be mailed to you once finished and of course a character with the name you chose. I’ll also put a little pimp out to your gallery (wherever it is) on all the places this is posted!

If some of you come up with something awesome that I plan to use for someone else because it’s suited to them and not this character then you’ll get runner up sketches too!

So, what do you need to do?

You need to name the character pictured below. There are a few rules though that I always adhere to while naming characters. (check his brief description below for ideas about his personality)

The name must be relevant to his personality: no names that mean ‘death’ when the character is a friendly person etc.

The name must be male or Neutral (eg: Sam, Ashley) No female names please.

Explain what the name means! This is really important; you must write at least one sentence explaining what the name means weather it be a translation or a description. If it’s a made up name you just thought up, then explain how you thought of it!

NO DUPLICATES! This is why the entries are going to be viewable to all. Get in quick if you have thought up something you may think will be popular. (or obvious) the first person to post the name will be the only one to be considered in the case of duplicates.

Enter as many names as you want as long as they adhere to the other rules (but try not to go overboard!)

Method

This is how I work (a brief guide).

Stages:
-Awaiting feferance -Ideas - Sketched - Preparing to ink (Awaiting feedback) - Inked - Preparing to colour (Awaiting payment) - Colouring - Finished (mailed to client)

Once your reference and request is received I will work on some ideas, I will then draw a rough pencil sketch. This will be sent to you so you can confirm it is the correct characters/pose/stuff you wanted. I will then finalise the sketch ready for inking, I will then send you this. It is important that you tell me if anything is horribly wrong! (such as: wrong gender, strange errors, silly hair, whatever.) As once it is inked, nothing can be changed.

I will show you the inks and then ask for payment ^_^

I. am a stingy bugger, and the only things I buy at cons is food and Rei Ayaname merc (And maybe some Sonoda merc if its there) But other then that it's like getting blood out of a stone and I NEVER buy from the artists alley it would take one hell of an art style to force me to buy it. (I think the only art thing I bought was a :iconjisuk: artbook.

But yes, I rarely buy things at cons as I see them as being overpriced even though they are not (I think everything is overpriced -_-) And because I would not buy my own stuff I am sceptical that other people will. So I am asking YOU the potential buyers to tell me what catches your eye and makes you want to buy art.
