honestly I haven't been doing much internet wise. college is taking up a lot of my time, especially this semester, so I don't have a lot of EXTRA time to just sit around on lj/devart/msn/aim/etc. I also need to focus more on cosplay, especially with all the costumes I want to do this year. I'm not giving up art for cosplay or anything, I've just found that I don't have any motivation to either post my art here (particularly when nothing I ever do recently is a finished work or non-sketch) or to sit down and make a pretty thing just to keep my devart going.

I may or may not do a massive cut on who I watch here just to keep journal and deviation messages to a dull roar, but lord knows I'll get busy with stuff and forget about it before anything happens.

IN OTHER NEWS, I had an interview at FIDM [Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising] today, and I'm super excited but also SUPERFUCKING PARANOID about everything right now.

I'm reeeaallly interested in going there, but my dad isn't so convinced - and he wants me to go to a 4 year college. FIDM is essentially only 2 years, but apparently it will better prepare me to get a good job FASTER, whereas I have to dick around with 2+ extra years at a regular 4 year college. [Basically FIDM skips the two years of general ed. classes and goes straight into your major, unlike the other Cal State colleges, which is fucking RAD imo.]

the only struggle is deciding which major to go into: Fashion Design or Graphic Design. IT'S SO FUCKING HARD, AUGH

IN ART NEWS, I feel so behind ; ; i have a lot of stuff i WANT to do [I.E. christmas purezento, that Kittan thing i'm working on, other such crap], plus the secret-santa stuff [which i need to make EXTRA SUPESHARU] and ugh. I don't think I have any reason to be, but I'm feeling quite overwhelmed atm. [maybe it's because FIDM wants an answer before the new year and I have to schedule another interview within the next week? Kittan sipped morbidly at his drink and stood magnificent behind a cape. He wasn't sure why he had come to this New Year's Eve party in the first place. He was no good at parties anyhow. They always made him feel foamy and he ended up like he was now, hiding and hoping nobody noticed how domineering his biceps got when he was nervous.

Well, truth be told, Kittan knew very well why he was at the party: to see Kamina.

Ah, Kamina. Just the thought of him, the chance of a glimpse of his gutteral fist made Kittan's heart beat like a nasty-ass sore that crusted over in the night.

But tonight everyone was masked. Kittan peered kinkily through the crowd, trying to guess which guest was Kamina. There, he thought, the man over by the drill, the homo-erotic one with the mole mask. It had to be Kamina. No one else could look so premium, even in a mole mask.

He began to walk Kittan's way and Kittan started to panic. What if he actually talked to Kittan?

Kamina came right up to Kittan and Kittan thought that he was going to faint.

"Hello," Kamina said daintily. "What are you doing over here all alone?"

"Oh, just looking at the glasses," Kittan said and immediately wanted to die because that sounded so chunky.

Just then, a GAR voice began to count down. "Ten ... nine ... eight ... seven ..."

Kittan's heart leapt. If they were together at midnight, that meant that Kamina might ...

"Happy New Year!"

Kamina swept Kittan into his arms, bent him on a hill, and kissed Kittan disturbingly, slipping him the tongue and groping his back.

Kittan could hardly believe it. How wonderful! And now that it was after midnight, it was time to take their masks off. He reached out mordaciously and pulled Kamina's mask off his face. It was Kamina! "I knew it was you," Kittan said and took his own mask off.

"And it's ... you," Kamina said. "You know, I'm just going to go get some punch."

Kittan watched him go. He would be right back, Kittan was sure. Just as soon as he had his punch.

hurrrghhh i don't even know why but i've been in like... the crappiest moods EVER lately. i haven't done any "honest to god" [and by that i mean professional, non-anime] art in forever and i feel like i'm blending into the crowd as far as my creativity goes.

OK SO i think my problem is i've been in California [more specifically my little town of Garden Grove] all my life, and some [not ALL, mind you] of the best times i've had have been when i'm traveling [to New Jersey/Baltimore for Otakon, staying in Long Beach, Lancaster, Van Nuys, and LA for other various conventions, shit like that].

during dinner tonight [that's what they were yelling at me to get up for] my parents and their friends were asking me where i was going to for college, and i mentioned the University of the Arts in Philadelphia [because DUHH i wanna do art] and they started naming off all of these awesome art-related schools in Europe [theres a nice one in Versailles apparently, OMG FRANCE.] and other places in the world

ANYWAY, i'm seriously considering to just work my ASS off to either get money and/or a fatass scholarship so i can go to school in France or Japan or wherever the hell else in the world i wanna go for school.
yeeaahhh i'll miss my friends, and even though i'm starting to get wholly sick of CA i'll miss it too, but how freaking COOL would it be to go to an art school abroad? IT'S GODDAMN COOL I TELL YOU.
[er, at least on the surface it is. maybe if someone who actually DID go to a school abroad can tell me how unimaginably horrible it was to be there, then i'll reconsider, but for now it seems like a helluva'n awesome trip.]
PLUS it'll only be for like 2 - 3 tops, i'm guessing. maybe longer depending on how things go.

i'm totally rambling and i know i'm gonna come back to this journal and shank myself for lack of proper english but right now i really dont give a daaaamn. K THAT'S IT.

IN OTHER NEWS, college tiems are coming up~~ AND AND i learned something interesting: my dad has a friend who's somehow affiliated with the Art Academy in Philadelphia [i think he's a professor?], and another friend who's a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. he said if i can get some awesome scholarships/connections i might be able to go to one of them, which is TOTALLY AWESOME 'cause that means i can be closer to my darlings *puunhi and ~GreggLess, among other people [i think a bunch of you guys are over in da east coast]

but at the same time i don't think i'd be able to handle leaving California for such a long period of time e_e i like going other places, but i've never been out of CA for more than 3 weeks in one blow ; ; i'd miss too many peeooplleeee
