The singing wasn't actually singing, it was like TALKING REALLY QUICKLY with music in the back. The only voice I actually enjoyed was Joanna's, when she first appears in the window. The killing scenes were unnecesarily long and they didn't feel even slightly shocking; Johnny Depp looked too bored in them. It was also rather annoying how everything was so dim. Overall, the movie seemed to have dragged itself out painfully, although its jist could've been told in one sentence: "Barber who comes back from exile plans revenge and kills people who are then made in meat pies". Woo-eeh.

All this complaining aside, the thing I hated most about Sweeney Todd was that they got all these "famous" people in the cast: Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow, of course), Alan Rickman (Snape), Helena Bonman Carter (Bellatrix), and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew). As these actors have played very notable roles, Sweeney Todd began feeling a bit like a huge cosplay movie. Snape being a pedophile. Jack Sparrow('s evil goth twin) as a serial killer. Bellatrix as a baker? Lol please.

I've seen a lot of bad movies, but this is the first time that I actually wanted my money back.
