--character dolls from my original fiction--

Etty is one of the longest existing characters I have. He was first drawn when I was twelve, so he's been around for around four years. Once I started writing about him rather than just doodling, Etty was joined by Zaryn (his childhood friend), Maeve Rose (Zaryn's little sister), Dol (whom Zaryn and Etty met in high school), Jamie (Zaryn's girlfriend), and Sascha (Jamie's cousin friend).

Etymology // Etty, Boris

Etty lives with Zaryn and Maeve, is a cuddly drunk, loves animals, and kind of looks like a girl. He likes skinny jeans and old movies, and playing detective with Maeve. Etty's most aptly described as hapless and naive.

Zaryn

Zaryn saved Etty from a playground bully in preschool and they've been best friends ever since. Due to some needlessly convoluted circumstances, Zaryn's little sister Maeve lives with her and Etty most of the time (when their father is in town long enough, Maeve stays with him). Zaryn thinks of Etty as another sibling and has been dating Jamie since their third year of high school.

Maeve loves Zaryn and Etty. Maeve really likes pastel colors and plush toys and curries. She doesn't really remember her mother, and doesn't see her father often. She sometimes wears a tutu while pretending to be a detective with Etty.

She's my little witchbaby, my first doll, and doesn't get enough love. Her posing is AWFUL. I still think she's swell, though.

Taylor, like Lila, is a bit neglected due to my devotion to Fairyland & Unoas. Ah, well. She's the first doll I ever sewed for.

Mince // Bait, Snack, Pork Bun

Mince is Tay's imaginary friend. He's a metrosexual panda-type creature. With pink leggings. And a mauve velvet vest.

Nae

Nae is definitely my most cliche filled doll. She's magic (for reals), has purple eyes & color changing hair, has a punk crossdressing animal sidekick (Nero), and is, now that I think of it, kind of a Mary Sue. Oy.

Little mister cutie tail is Nae's partner in crime. They have matching poses and like to right wrongs and vanquish evildoers. Well, okay, that's mostly Nae. Nero enjoys wearing tights, staring lovingly at his shoe collection, and pondering what he would do given total control of France.

Logic and Canvas

The Pukis are often up to no good. Logic is tricky and likes going on adventures. Canvas is frequently confused and likes wearing boots and posing for art. (Canvas is my little muse. I draw him lots and photograph him more than anything else.)

Also! I might be getting a puppy tomorrow. I find out if I got her later tonight, and if we were chosen we pick her up tomorrow morning. Mer name's Savannah and she's a five month old choxie. I loves her, but there's another person who would want to adopt her and her mom. I hope I get her. T^T

Aside from the arrivals, I've thrown myself into Re-Ment collecting wholeheartedly. I've got my kitchen put together and bit and pieces collected for the living room, dining room, and bedroom. Now I just need to find a playscale dollhouse... >~>

All-in-all it's been pretty sweet these past few weeks.

The only thing is, I have to find some way to do things with people my own age. My school is like one-on-one tutoring with credits so there's like no social interaction. I hang with a few people (most of whom I dislike intensely) and I still see my friend Kat, but that's pretty much it. That's why I was able to get the L-bi right after I ordered Maeve. My mom told me she realized that a party (sixteenth birthday) would be depressing (there are only two people my age that I would invite) so they would get me another doll instead of doing some big event. I'm still having a tiny cake fest with my godparents, any relatives in the area, and assorted family-by-choice type people, so... yay for me.

Zaryn is now all nicely completed and her faceup is freakishly gorgeous. I'm so ridiculously happy about it.

I'm working on making my Sculpey charms as small as I can get them without them scorching too fast for me to save. So far, it's pretty darn small but not quite small enough to look proportionate to a YoSD.

Apparently, I'm good at math. Who knew.

She's the most adorable thing ever in the history of tiny adorableness! The little magnetic hands are too cool and the boots will be fun to paint. I've named her Logic, she's cuter bald than with hair, her real eyes haven't gotten here yet, and I'm uploading a picture of her to my scraps. It's like I just can't stop looking at her and being amazed that someone actually sculpted her. ^-^

I've kind of figured out how to get things in focus with my camera. Kind of. But not all the time. It's frustrating. Also, I had to get a new phone today. I can't figure out how to call people, but the email feature is nifty. :/

The first of my original characters to be put into doll form is almost finished. Zaryn's head is here, her body should be coming soon, and I'm sending her for a face up next week or thereabouts. Then it's just some Dollmore gear and photo stories away!

Anyway.

I got a better computer, a new Macbook. His name is Augustine. It's pretty, but we haven't connected yet. I have hope.

I now have three doll babies instead of one. Lila girl has a gorgeous face-up done by cari-face of DOA. Mince (my Bambicrony PingPing) looks puffy and edible. And his little magnetic ear bits are too cute! However, my BC Shy and I are having... issues. We aren't bonding, because I can't stand the face/eye shape. It's cute enough, and the face-up is gorgeous, but it's not for me. So I'm ordering a Kumi head to see if that'll help things. Fingers crossed!

Fanime is going to be so awesome! I'm going down on Saturday, and possibly Friday and/or Sunday. I'm really looking forward to a couple of panels, though not so much looking forward to being completely broke after the weekend. :/ Wait no, actually I kind of am. Because then there will be pretty things in my possession. Ugh.


I think I'm getting a Pomeranian. Yay.

Hi.

I've been pretty disappeared lately, huh? Well I'm back.
With a shiny new doll to take pictures of!

My first BJD came Monday, and I'm still spazzing about her. Lyla is a DIM Leisha, and she's made of win, puppies and love.

I'm bummed though, as the pretty Dollheart Yo-SD outfit I got her is too big. ;^;

But I plan to get a Yo-SD at some point (hopefully) so it'll be used eventually.
Or, you know, I'll just sell it to someone on DoA. :c

I really hope I can go to Fanime. I must hope for the kindness of parents to come through for me.

You see, the other day I tried to open photoshop to sketch something, and got an error message.

It was then that I learned I killed photoshop.

And I didn't even know that was possible!

So, of course, I called my dear, dear friend Meyer (Meyermagic), and ranted/whined for a bit. He said he'll see what's wrong and try to fix it next time he comes over, but in the meantime, I thought I would search for help on google to see if I could do anything.

And so I searched.

And google would not load.

I tried again in ten minutes.

And still, it would not load.

So I gave up on that and decided to read fanfiction for a while. And so I went to ff.net.

And my computer froze.

And froze.

And still froze.

And then I forced a shut-down, and tried again.

Still no google, still no photoshop, but thankfully, ff.net is now working for me.

Freakin yay.

(Though this is making me work on my traditional art more.)

(And on a random side note, I seem to have a thing for drawing Kyle (my only male oc other than Ciaran) in really girly outfits. For example, I just doodled him in a ballgown. :3)

But I had to get over it pretty fast. You see, it was time to reread the Anita Blake series because I GOT HARLEQUIN THE DAY IT CAME OUT. Also, major insane love. Freaky, obsessed, devoted love.

BUT ONCE AGAIN my fangirl glee had to be cut short when I reread the Rachel Morgan series so that I could read For A Few Demons More which was so increadibly good! It was so very, very, very, very awesome. (Plus it was the first Hollows book in hardcover! Yay for Kim Harrison!)

So yeah, I've been busy what with the reading and spazzing and such. And now I've moved on to making cat ear hoodies and beanies. Because I'm awesome.
